  • Well, there's no need to follow those equipment requirements exactly for each level. A lot of times, you'll keep using the same equipment for many levels (such as Twilight Temple or Legendary gear). So you'll have time to increase your stats and plan it out before getting your next set of gears. And you shouldn't fall…
  • Well, it depends on what you are fighting. If you're fighting mobs or players that only do physical damage, then use physical def. items. And if you're fighting magic opponents, then equip elemental resistances. It's good to have both available b:pleased . If you're fighting both physical and magical, then heavy armor with…
  • This question helped remind me to add a AoE party section to my guide. So I'll post the addition here. This should answer your question :P. Yeah, Barbarians are needed to be the lurer and also to give the HP buff (Beast King's Inspiration) to the party whenever it runs out. Luring for AoE squads as a barbarian does take a…
  • Those are great to have when you get the 2 skills, Invoke the Spirit and Armageddon, at level 59+. Before that though, HP recovering and damage reduction apothecary items are better. And I updated the guide to include AoE party tips in the Training section, as well as additional tanking tips at the very end of the guide.
  • For a tank build, more like Every 2 levels: 4-6 Str 1 Dex remaining points on Vit There is no exact build to follow every level because the weapon requirements differ a lot. And there isn't a "best build" either. The gears and skills are what matters more than base stats later on. All builds start with fulfilling the…
  • That would make a great tanker build. However, you shouldn't follow that build completely every level. You'll need to add more Str to keep up with the latest weapon requirements. And it would be best to stop adding Dex when you reach around 60 Dex. You won't need anymore than that unless you're going for a PVP build.
  • Yes, I did say that you should always be buffed with Beast King's Inspiration in section "C. Tips on Using Skills" of the guide. Feral Regeneration isn't that important though because the HP regen you get from it is very little; it will barely make any difference while tanking. Also, HP regen is reduced by 75% when in…
  • Wow, lots of posts here since I last checked. Sorry if I haven't replied b:surrender . I'll be updating this guide later on. It'll take awhile though, so don't expect anything soon. Well, nearly all of the best weapons (specifically, the Twilight Temple ones) at higher levels are dual axes. Also, if you follow the dual…
  • Thanks for the comments! b:pleased Roar is the AoE aggro skill that is also called "Talk is cheap." You can get it at lv 34. Also, I did mention to max Axe & Hammer Mastery in the guide.
  • Yeah, the chart is sometimes a few points off at a couple levels. Other than that, it's very accurate. I've been following it myself and I haven't had any problems. The Str values of this chart fit the requirements for weapons, and the Dex values are for armor, since armor requires more dex than axes.
  • Well, the tanker build is just following the Gear Requirements for Dual Axes and Heavy Armor, with the remaining points going into Vitality. Check out the 2nd post of the guide for more details. Your stats are fine. Just focus more on your Str and Vit, less on Dex.
  • VI. Additional Tips - Read if you dare! A. In-depth guide to Tanking - a Barbarian's #1 role in PVE parties --The tips above are a little too brief, so I'll go more into detail here. Spamming Flesh Ream definitely is the #1 rule for tanking. Just remember that your Chi will run out if you keep spamming Flesh Ream…
  • V. Skills Go here for skill descriptions http://www.ecatomb.net/skillpwi.php A. Which Skills to Learn In the beginning levels, there will be more than enough skill points to train all skills, but after that, it becomes so overwhelming that you cannot keep up. That is why it is best to focus on maximizing certain skills…
  • III. Main Stat Builds of the Barbarian NOTE: All builds focus first on fulfilling weapon/armor requirements, then differentiate, based on how you spend the remaining status points. * Choose the build best suited for your play style; and there’s no need to follow one build the whole way through. * You can try a hybrid build…
