I've always prefered Vit gems for sharding my armour. you may only get 100 hp per gem, but you also get 150 Pdef added per gem.

put dragon orbs and gems in NPC form, give the poor folk some balance to keep up with the cash players. i'm not sying go all out and put every orb or gem in there, but at least put lvl perfects, and at least up to +6. everyone loves a treat this would more than likely make people happier to get new gear.
