Make sure that it is the right mob. Some mobs are very similar in appearance, but are different slightly in name, and they are totally different kinds of mobs. Other than that, I can't think of why you wouldn't get the sprite, except really bad luck T_T

fb quests are like dungeons quests, where you go through a place full of monsters, and you fight a boss. You usually need a good team to do this (tank, healer, etc). They become available after each cultivation quest (after lvl 19 cultivation, you can get fb 19, after lvl 29 cultivation you get fb 29, etc.)
