I thought it was kinda wierd there were no daggers to use. Usually in MMO's they give an archer a choice of using ranged such as bows, crossbows and so on, or using daggers and like sneaking up and kiting and such. You know, whack, run, whack.

Ya know, stuff just happens. Im sure if it was a planned shutdown they would have announced it. Do you call the power company and demand your money back for cable and/or internet expense if the power goes out unexpectedly? If you do, good luck you'll never get it.
