Heh i was puzzled on this as well before but i found out what was wrong. The more you craft the more experience you get in that profession. Once the xp bar gets full then you have to go to the elder and buy the next book for lvl 2 crafting in your proffession.

Hmm this is informative. I think the assasains are like melee versions of the archers but im not sure about the other class. It sounds like a mage to me but yea....
