I think the archers miss is the target's hit rate and evasion. If you get a lot of dex just for the accuracy then I understand. IT happens because if you let the archer not miss for the whole time then it's unbalanced and seems a bit unfair with the melee characters.

Well..... I think the close range and long range doesn't really make a different. I think like at least 70% - 80% (Maybe) use bows or crossbows. What I matter is how far and how fast to kill a target before coming at you.
