The 4 minutes boss can be done with 4 high level venos or 3 venos and 1 cleric. Personally, soloing takes too long for me and I rather do TT's with a company of friends. Weapons are different from armor concerning glow. You get a blue glow from 3 stars weapons. You get a green glow from TT weapons and gold glow from mold weapons. There's an additional effect on the handle if you imbue 2 lvl 7+ stones (if memory serves me right) on the weapon.

Sometimes when you alt+tab or go onto another application and return back to PW, the sound will return. So just re-adjust it again and confirm and it should go away. If this isn't the problem either, contact technical support.

There are two settings for sound. One is for the music and the other for effects. You have to turn both down if you don't want to hear anything. Make you confirm the change or apply the change.
