this is a great idea thats going to get flames by a lot of haters. stop all r9 armor in nation wars. jsut the armor not the people. make nation wars a nv3rd cast armor cap war. this would even out all playing field. this would give better fights and bettermatchs that wouldn't make battles one side.

Maybe they should make 2 different kind of NW's, but do you see the problem with that? They'd just enter both.

Anyway what about a fight between a full G16+12 JosD with 6 S cards 80/80 and a G16+5 with B cards level 1 ?

Should we also refuse the guys who farmed primal to enter because it's unfair to fight someone who got the primal passives at level 10, right ?
And maybe we shouldn't allow the use of any Morai skills

The whole reason for people to go R9 is to get an edge in PvP - for PvE G16 more then suffices. So blocking the main PvP slugfest from those who've specialized in it is counterproductive. Better option would be to have a few maps with a maximum soulforce allowed to enter - fringe lands at the edges of the map. So people can enjoy the "small" battles while the powerhouses can decimate eachother in the center of the map.

It'll also prevent the "donutting" that I've seen happen a lot, where a group of players simply surrounds an enemy base and repeatedly spawnrapes all the players who try to get out (I'm glaring at you, Crisis b:laugh ).

After some thoughts I think OP is completely right.

R9.3 should be PVE only. People could buy it so that it is easier to farm Warsong and Lunar for G16.
Obviously on PVP servers, people will also not be able to wear R9.3 outside of dungeons or safezone. As a matter of fact, another suggestion will be made to replace attack and defense levels on R9.3 gears by warding/slaying levels.
We still need some reflection to know what we do about war avatar cards and refine. I guess S cards will become PVE only as well but we still don't know about A cards (give your opinion). Regarding refining this is a little more complicated so far

Or people could learn how to play and/or work as a team.

The only "real" issue are the r9rr+12 with good shards and good cards, other than that competing with r9rr people is honestly not that hard, and these r9rr+12 can be brought down with some intelligence and force.

Interesting idea.

Keep going on this thread and ill keep checking back and forth. I kinda like the idea of set gear for NW per class. Wanna point out tho NW would be more balanced if you could not enter as a squad!

I beg to differ... Personally I mostly go to NW solo or as duo, and I honestly don't really understand the guys that still do NW with a full squad of R9.3, all being in same map.At least on Morai I consider that NW is not designed for that (not enough people) and this is probably boring as hell 90% of the time and usually not even efficient for the nation they are in (this is my personnal opinion).

First of all armor+weapon is just one factor. There is this psychic R9.3 +12 on my server that I oneshot at least three times with just the first Mystic's skill (the one who is spammable). Is this that surprising ? Not at all... People are still talking about R9.3 as if this was a garantee of superiority, but let's face it... if you are 101-100-100 with R9.3+12 and didn't farm primal passives, then I'm not sure you're stronger than a 105-105-105 G16+10 guy with level 10 passives. Especially if he got better cards by farming FSP...

Wanna "cap" the armors that can be used in NW to balance things out ? It just won't work at all if you don't "cap" a lot of other things. And in the end if you can't benefit from your armors, refines, cards, levels, whatever, what's the point ? C$ers gonna be screwed so PWE is gonna cry. Farmers and/or people who did their dailies to become stronger gonna be screwed as well. And the guys that would benefit for it are the lazy guys that never play the game... Am I wrong ?

It will just never happen... This is complete nonsense.

This is your bias showing. Disallowing certain gear to enter because others can't get the gear or can't kill the geared ones is stupid and a slap to whoever gears up.

Its a well said that the gear difference is so big in PvP now. My self I prefer battles where its a battle and not a 1 shot fest. Gets stale and boring. Then people leave or stop doing that. This is my opinion which im allowed to share.

Yes I get the point of gearing up for this, One reason I have NOT logged this yet. To be fair I don't think it ever will, because it needs support. Im not going to log anything that is 50/50. Thats why opinions are important... However running people down (Just for the hell of it) is not required and when people do this their opinion is not taken into account. I don't want to spend my time reading posts where its just that. Harsh but im not going to promote that.

With regards to the enter as a squad ETC Most squads dont stay together in NW anyway... But again long debated so as below.

NW has been long debated but I have yet to find a suggestion that fits all... To this point and as we can all see this is a 50/50 debate so im not going to log.

I do understand that. OS might not be fun for both the guy who get killed and the guy who did OS the ennemy (even though I know some people that don't dislike it in both cases)
But the important thing to consider is that this not only related to R9.3 versus G16. S cards 80/80 have an impact even bigger than gears. And even if you limit something to G16, there would still have a lot of differences between a G16+12 JosD and a G16+4 with G7. You got me ? And even if you talk about fights with level 100 white NPC gears. Then what about a full vita barb 105-105-105 ? No squad could kill them if nobody has decent gears...
If you want balanced fights, you can't just consider the armors and weapon. This is not as simple as that...

And in the end what's the point about changing NW this way now ? If you really think that there is a need for a more "balanced" PVP event that would give less advantage to the C$ers or the veteran farmers/merchanters, I could understand, but then why not suggest a new kind of event ? As stated by someone, just rewamp the arena in the good way for example.

first off i'm r93rd cast too from farming i just don't have the josd that cost 4.5bill coins in game to get and the s cards that cast 4 gold per pack and teh 3.4bill to get teh cards to make lvl them all. not to mention the s+ cards coming out soon. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is just undergeared and too lazy to farm the better gear. If you don't let people use the gear they worked hard for, what is the point to working hard in the game? You are supposed to try to work and achieve the best gear, yet your idea is contrary to this. You would change the goal to working not that hard to get okay gear so that you can stand a chance against the hard workers.
