For profit companies are always about getting customers to buy stuff from them. That's just the nature of the beast.
    I **** bigger than you...

Shut up and play the game.....Damn

Let me be the first to say congratulations on being able to play for free for five years (assuming you are a F2P player based on the tone of your post). You can thank us cash shoppers for it, since free players don't line anyone's pockets

I seriously question why people find the need to claim that they are quitting. Just quit, no need to inform the forums that you are leaving. Do enjoy whatever game you have found instead though.

You can also thank the F2P players because without them you have no game 2 pay for. Let's not be arrogant. You can't have a F2P game without both.

    Every F2P game heads there.

First bots, then inflation, later people will start to leave and finally servers starts to shutdown.

The next stage of PWI is...b:avoid

I feel very similar to this. I don't need 'different' per se, I would quit if something monumentally overwhelmingly better came along.

And I totally agree with Aubree. I'm f2p but I respect that this is only possible because of the cs'ers.

Out of curiousity, What happens if someone sells an account but it was being shared and the person that lost it had put a large amount of money into it. Does the person that bought it lose the account. I hear it was bought for $1500. I just was watching a local chat in game the other day and now the Charator named -snip- there were talking about, is in west arch. They said the guy was leaving the game and was going to sell it. One of them was afraid of getting into trouble because they were sharing the accoutn. It was supposedly that person that was being shared. Is there a way GMs can track it to see if it was transfered to someone new.

Account selling is completely illegal. The account itself should get banned when that's discovered, reported, and investigated.

Yeah but believe it or not: people selling their account via FaceBook too. Sure, not everyone there sells for the 'original' servers. It happens and will happen - nothing to do about it. But don't worry OPK... this dude will always be around - too addicted to PWI lol. And lets face it: the "new people" (scammers or not) can also do us a favour by putting RL coins into this game.

Wondering myself why people are allowed to promote other games when replying to news on the PWI facebook page. Don't need an answer to it.

Now more ontopic: There must me more than 1 reason to quit playing. Economy? (answer: people who want it all). I noticed on different servers people are selling gold for ingame coins. Not to send gold but to send a boutique item. So it's not only the high price to buy gold via AH (or website) but the goldprice is even more it we buy via other players. Also the QQ about not having good armor. Would be fun to say my PK barb has very low armor. Don't care to be killed ingame. Main conclusion: we are stupid! (or at least I am).

    b:shutup

    Have fun all!

Truth. Account sharing and selling does happen. It's just as illegal as using a bot to mine diggable materials - but I've yet to see any admin action on any of the above.

As for the reasons to quit playing: There's only one valid reason to stop playing a game voluntarily: And that is that it stops being fun. If PWI isn't fun anymore for you, quit. If it is, enjoy it. Simple, simple...
