Hello all,

Maintenance will be tonight from the usual 11PM PDT - 2AM PDT. This is just a restart, no patch.

Maintenance Question: You're stranded on an island with nothing but the clothes on your back. You assume there has to be a fresh water source and food source, but after a day of searching, you find nothing. You realize you must act fast, otherwise run the risk of dehydration/starvation. Your first thought is to make a spear and hunt for fish, but the island is surrounded by sharks. Since you don't want to run the risk right now, you fall back and build a shelter. Luckily it rains that night, and you're able to gather enough fresh water for a few days, but you still have no food. Do you run the risk of trying to fish, or do you take the safer option and look for edible food/more water that could be hidden on the island? Why?

    Maintenance Question
    Firstly temperature/environment/geography are big issues and you need to decide what is most likely to kill you and work on those things in order of priority.

    For the record sharks are good eating, so no problem with food by the looks of it. Other seafood provides different nutrients, such as seaweed. Otherwise, after you've filled up on shark burgers, you would search the island for other food options.

    As for water, you see where the water is pooling around the island. When the water dries up, by digging down in those area you may create a well. If you don't develop a water source your sh.it out of luck.

    Then you need to make friends with a volleyball named Wilson so you don't go nuts...and build a raft.

    The anniv code gives a thing that most people cant use cause they used it last year.

    Also, the firs time spender rewards. Its been over 7 days and I havent received anything. Whats the word on that?

    There doesn't seem to be any new manual patch for this maintenance.

    Also would appreciate a say about the PW2 announcement PWCN is getting the 24th. Will we get that update too and how soon? :3

    Maintenance question: Hunt for fish.
    Go to a rocky cliff and spearhunt from the rocks, reel in the spear using a rope (that is attached to the spear), made from trees around you (expecting tropical island in this scenario): free fish without ever getting into the water.

    Well, I has expecting the earning time UI to be implemented, but I guess they got their hands tied up with the spend promo tickets, anni reward tickets, people got scam tickets, and many other tickets. b:shocked

    make your spear anyway and pick off the smaller sharks first, this should last ya quite a while for food, then its just taking care of a good means to store and catch water and building a good shelter

    First of all I agree...Sharks are a good source of food

    The thirst problem...and some variety in case u get bored with shark steaks. There should be palm trees from which u can get either coconuts or dates. Coconuts will solve the thirst problem as their milk can be drunk as well as eating the flesh

    I fish because sharks are not man-eaters, and they mostly stay away from the shore. No matter what mythical, mega, super, human-eating shark that shark week tries to pass of as real is lurking around in my imagination.

    The announcement made in China is essentially the expansion we should be getting sometime near the end of the year. (We'll get it, but it won't be ready until next year at the earliest)

    Also, since people are going to hunt these sharks, we should change them to "people-eating-killer-sharknadoes!"

    Probably no patch this week, but next week, probably patch for anniversary part 2.

    @sparkie: about the anniversary code, a lot of people did redeem it on their main, but can't open it, cause apparently that pack can only be open once by char in a life time which wasn't said and now a lot of people find themselves with no gift. Can you maybe bring that issue to your team to see if something can be done? (maybe a code with other gifts or something)

    For the question, I like fruits and vegetables, so I'll eat bananas and drink coconut milk. =3

    I'll use some wood, leaves, and a piece of string to MacGyver myself a 100% operational hydroplane. I then fly off into the sunset while dramatic theme music plays and land in civilization sometime before the next episode.

    What I would do for food on this deserted island is go into FCC and level up my toon so that I could use the level 75 HP and MP food. Oh wait... they "fixed" FCC so it does not work that way any more. -rolls eyes-

    If we beg ya'll to keep FCC the way it is now, will ya'll change it back to the way it was?

    I can't live without internet, so, I would just throw myself to the sharks b:cry

    Also... Anyone wants to bet how many more maintenance threads there will be where people will QQ about FC?xD

    I actually started to play my lvl 40 barb and BM because now people actually make squads for quests and BHs/FBs and it has been super fun.

    Also, my cleric that is now 84 got 60% from 12h of RoR (While I was sleeping/busy) so... I don't see why all the QQ just because you can't spam the same instance over and over and damn over again lol

    Well Sparkie, this year's reward is the same reward as last year, a new code pointing to the same prize. Therefore the player's who have already redeemed last years prize which is most and or all players. Might wanna get on that.
