    How long it takes depends entirely on your system. Most of mine only take 5-10 minutes to complete a verify, but on older PC's 2-30 minutes is possible.

    Yes, it should replace the files. I say to run it three times because the first verify often misses some files, and sometimes the second one will as well. Three times guaruntees they are all repaired.

    Also, don't forget to first exclude the entire game folder from all of your AV scans. If you don't, you'll just end up with missing/corrupted files all over again.

    I did all that and I still have disconnections. It seems to only be when im playing this account as when I dual client, my venos account runs fine but my sins (this) disconnects..

    Not sure if this applies to you, but I have noticed that if I use my game machine as a fileserver (to watch some movies on computer 2 or such) it can slow the game down immensely. I think its faulty network card drivers, or unoptimized ones that make it so. Is your LAN connection or internet connection under heavy load?

    The client relies heavily on the HD and the CPU, then you're adding a large amount of bandwidth on your network ports on top of that. With most PC's and home routers that will most definitely cause an issue in the client. It's not un-optimized drivers or faulty equipment, it's just equipment that is being overloaded. (With most home routers, it's commonly a limitation in the traffic handling design, or memory overhead.)

    For me it was just the network portion. Producing load on the drive subsystems (by a large, local file copy operation on the same disk as the game's installed) increases load times, but does not add lag (SATA drive, not solid state). Any significant load on the network connection however will add heavy lag, even if that load does not mean internet traffic. A single file copy operation from one machine to another increased my latency from 70-100 to 400-1500.

    Yeah, I have a few NAS devices, and if I transfer files though my modem/router, it will pretty much kill it. My solution is an intelligent switch connected to the router, and I plug all the PC's into it. With the switch handling the data streams, impact on the client is almost nil. I'm using all gigabit connections too, and separate drives handle the client and the storage data on the PC.

    Don't forget, Solid-State drives are only as fast as your motherboards bus can handle =P I know more than a few people that upgraded expecting huge improvements that were sorely disappointed.

    I haven't made the switch yet, I just use SATA and RAID configurations myself.b:victory

    Still having connection problems with PWI when its running..

    Also it took 5hrs for it to verify once so I didnt bother doing it a second or thrird time. I could have uninstalled and reinstalled the game almost 10 times in the time it took to verify the files.. still having issues. Only seems to be when i'm logged in as I never DC from Arc or internet browsers, just the actual game itself when i log in.

    If it took 5 hours to verify, either your PC is at the bare minimum requirements to play the game and is also overloaded/corrupted, or you've got something else on your PC causing an issue.

    As I said, I've played this game lag and disconnection free almost daily since the beta. It's only since the mass DC last week that I have been having issues.

    I've run various virus scans and found nothing.
    I've tried restoring/updating devices.
    Uninstalled previous programs and games hoping that maybe memory space was an issue.

    I'm completely at a lost cause as im running a second verification and its been running for an hour and just over halfway at the moment.

    SSDs are usually worse for burst rate, but several orders of magnitude better for random access. An SSD is unlikely to fully tax a SATA bus with burst rate data. But burst isn't important for most games, and PWI is no exception to that.

    OP: Check your system event log for hard drive controller errors. Might be that your hard drive is going bad, which causes frequent controller reset commands to the drive. That will freeze your system briefly and will give the "feel" of lag, even if it's not connection related.
    Alternate solution if you don't find anything wrong with your drive subsystem: Uninstall ARC, uninstall PWI, then delete all PWI and ARC related folders (important step!), then fully reinstall the game.

    As for the uninstall and redownload, I did exactly that as I figured if i'm able to dc from PWI but not on steam or other programs as I have always been able to run various programmes at once without any problems, then the problem was with a file.

    Depending on OS,
    Windows 7, 8, 8.1 open control panel, open administrative tools use the Event viewer found there.
    Or Win 7, Left click Start button, right click Computer and select Manage then Event viewer once loaded fully.
    Windows 8.1 Right click Start button select Event Viewer.
    Hope that helps.
    There other ways using only the run box or cmd prompt but just giving the easiest here, you can look the rest up if you like.
