Is every server's status like RT right now?

I just thought id put my 2 cents in on this little post right here.....there are...INDIVIDUALS......that likes to just sit online on their shops and slowly bring the token prices down...i have been watching the habits of this particular event in west arch. Their strategy as i have seen is to slowly and surely lower the prices to around 27k per token....as the main people do this other shops slowly follow suit. As soon as the others' prices are low enough someone goes thru and buys them all out. Then suddenly there are only 1-2 shops selling tokens at insane prices. Now this changes from time to time and doesnt always work but it is surely becoming annoying when token prices are going up to 50k and only 1 or 2 shops are selling them. Not that it really effects me as i stock up on the items i need by a considerable amount and wont buy tokens when they are over a certain price depending on the money i have atm.

Now i have heard that PWE has interfered in the past and made it against the rules or something to sell tokens over a particular price...can anyone confirm this? It would be interesting if this HAD happened in the past to see how people would react to being told it was bannable to sell their tokens over a certain price.

First of all, I have been away for a very very long time (around 2 years) and I came back like 1 month ago, just to find how broken the economy is comparated to how it used to be.

That is about how long oracles have not been sold. Used to be about 5 or 6 merchants, then it dropped to a couple, then nobody. Now most people NPC them at best.

But leaving that behind, I want to know how are the tokens in your server. In that month I have been playing, I have seen token's price go over 30k, 3 times, because some random cashshopper bought most of them to obtain some profit.

Tokens were steady between 12800 and 13K each until about 6 months ago. Greed sure, but I think Venus brings another point that most of us lower geared players didnt really know or care about.

Is every server having this kind of issue or is it RT only?b:shocked

Also, to add a bit more, I am going to point out some changes caused by token's price rise:

    -Nobody selling oracles anymore.
-Apoc pages between 100k and 1 mill (like seriously...)
-No more wined instances (you hardly see someone using wines now)
-Skill from mysterious pages over 9000!
-Flawless shards over 600k (you can now get cheaper flawless from JC merchant lol...)
-Teles always over 25k, decreasing the amount of messages in wc, causing a sensation of dead server

RT is a very elite server now, especially since mostly its all old school players who immediately go for the latest thingy to come out. I switched to another server with the last expansion. It is a poorer server, more laid back with a little less e-peen displayed on WC, but somehow, I felt like I was playing with the same people I had played with in the past on RT. I havent looged on there in a few weeks either.

The prices are different, some things that were always cheap on RT, are more expensive there, while other more recent to the game items are a little more reasonable.

One player tried to keep the price of teles down on RT, but someone has already posted a very reasonable explanation as to why that didnt work out. Last I was on RT his reasonable price reduction had increased to only be about 2K lower than the other tele merchants.

Again, since most tele merchants bought tokens from other players to make teles, that resource pool has reduced greatly. You used to see about a dozen to 20 token merchants, and last I was on RT at peak pre-NW/TW weekend time frames, there were like 5.

I think this is because your amount of luck is reduced as newer packs are released. In the past, pack buyers were a select small few to begin with - of course, that changed as more and more poor players left RT. Even if the few players left that bought packs still buy them, there will not be as many tokens to sell.

For some reason, most herb merchants moved to 1K. For a while, someone tried to control the mats market, until they were either banned for having more than 15 toons catshopping at once, or they realised that there was really no one new on RT to buy from them to begin with. Everyone that would have been interested in buying the mats to get their skills maxed - already had had them maxed for a long time. That started out said to be to keep prices lower. but their prices had slowly risen over time, so Im not so sure about what the motive really was.

In contrast, the server I went to from RT has very few mat merchants as well, maybe just a couple more than whats left on RT.

Since you havent played in 2 years you say, the best gear on RT is R9T3. Its the best gear on any server, but probably the most popular on RT. If you dont have it, I hope you have lots of friends who still play, that may be motivated to help you catch up.

TL;DR: It is what it is. Welcome back to the game, and good luck.

    * Haven't notice a decrease. PRIIEST is spammy regardless of tele prices.

    name is PREIIST

2 y ago on Morai Server gold was around 1.3m and token were at 10-12k...now both is bit more than double

    -Nobody selling oracles anymore.
    ...

    1. Oracles can be exchanged through Tokens using PW Boutique Agent.
    2. Oracles can be obtained from quests.
    3. And my favorite (as it was) Oracles can be dropped from the mobs.
    ...
-Flawless shards over 600k (you can now get cheaper flawless from JC merchant lol...)
    ...

600,000 coins /14 Tokens per shard =42,900 coins /Token of Luck
Since Token of Luck cost less, then Flawless shard cost less:
14 Tokens*25,000 coins =350,000 coins, if 1 Token of Luck cost 25,000 coins.

*Can be exchanged through Tokens using PW Boutique Agent.
    ...
-Teles always over 25k, decreasing the amount of messages in wc, causing a sensation of dead server
    Teleacoustic:

    9 Tokens*25,000 coins/10 Teleacoustic= 22,500 coins, if 1 Token of Luck cost 25,000 coins.

*Can be exchanged through Tokens using PW Boutique Agent.
In any case, when one item cost dozens of millions coins, one skill cost dozens of millions coins, when refinement cost is very big above prices can't reflect state of game.

Also, I was not in game since 2013.

Nope, I may be an early April Fool, but Im not perpetrating an early April Fool's joke. 'The Fool' has always been my favorite Tarot card. b:chuckle

Just almost all who PK; people that do TW/NW (or should I say, people that dont get steam-rolled and spawn killed trying to do NW/TW?); those that solo high BHs are all R9T3+10 minimum.

There used to be a lot of non-English speaking players, Brazillian and Filipino that are not OP-geared. I know beacuse most of BHs were done with them when I first came up on Brill. They were wonderful players that were very accepting, and could adjust to almost anything. I loved running with them, always had a lot of fun. One little problem-o, communication was an issue. I only speak English, unfortunately. I can muddle through with Spanish sometimes. I can babble in several languages, but only understand English.

Regardless of gears, its now very 'clique-ish'. People who are proud to tell you they never do anything with anyone who isnt a long time friend. Anyway...

Mah bad - I guess I should have said, "Its a very elite-geared server." b:surrender

If you dont have the gear, you wont be having much fun.

I used to have fun, before R9 became a factor...Ive been told I could be a base buffer now. YAY! *non-factor jumps for joy, then spits at her own sarcasm* f:gross

Anyone need a free Rez buff? f:sneaky

Im sorry but i have a VERY HARD TIME aggreeing to the bold and red text...idk how long ago the spanish speaking players u are referring to were what you say they are....but they are hardly that anymore. In fact im seeing more and more NON english players forming fail squads and getting people killed repeatedly due to their LACK of english speaking abilities or knowledge of how to really play their classes.

That aside it would be nice to hear if something can be done about the token prices constantly being sold at insane prices. Not for me personally but its really **** over many people in the servers. I hear about people QQing over the prices all the time. Unless PWI can do something about it the pockets of certain players will just keep getting lined more and more by their extremely greedy actions of buying out all tokens to resell for higher.

i think they meant fairly friendly. Putting aside language barrier or play, they generally tend to be more laid back and friendly.

    Just a little note:

    Brazilians speak Brazilian Creole/Portugese.

    Filipinos speak Filipino.

Some of both speak a little Spanish, but neither speaks Spanish as a first language.

People that are new and dont know what they are doing, as well as 'hot-shot' players that dont pay attention to anyone or anything but themselves, speak ALL languages. None is immune from what I have seen. b:chuckle

Sorry if I hit nerve, or your experience has been different. But, without the Brazilians and Filipino players, Brill would have never made it past level 85. *shrugs*

Btw, if no one buys the tokens, the merchants wont profit off them much regardless of what price they buy them at.

This thread is not about tokens though. Its just someone who played on RT 2 years ago who seems to be testing the waters for both RT as well as other servers. They might want to know about how the server has evolved over that time, unless they are a merchant themselves.

YES!!! Exactly! We hardly spoke at all in those squads, but I still had a great time! :D

Well you didnt hit a nerve i was just stating that from my own experience many players that speak a foreign language other than english on RT seem to have their own agenda and own cares and dont really do well in squad situations...again from MY experience. I dont really have a care for if they speak english or not....i will try my best to stay in squad and help out or try and break the language barrier....but not when the language barrier is so bad that i cant get thru to them at all or they seem to just not to want to listen.

As for if no one buys tokens we both know that wont happen there will ALWAYS be people buying tokens so trying to get people to boycott buying tokens is a feeble effort to fix the sale price of tokens...as soon as people would buy tokens again anyways i can guarantee u that the same cat shops would be up to the same tricks again.

As for what this thread is about...
First of all, I have been away for a very very long time (around 2 years) and I came back like 1 month ago, just to find how broken the economy is comparated to how it used to be.

The ENTIRE post the OP started the thread with was about token prices....thus he is talking about tokens if u ask me.

I didnt need to get through to them. I could adjust to them easily. They easily adjusted to me.

Its no miracle that the new class (not many people played Mystics back then) could adjust. I do see it as a miracle when the older crowd can adjust, and do, without complaint. Elite, from a different perspective, one could say. b:victory

So many people have these crazy rules they want to play by. (Not meaning you in particular, ijs...)

I remember when a barb faction leader (not mine) told me I need to just heal. I wasnt main heal, but he wanted me to just heal cause thats what Mystics do. Even if I had been main heal, if the squad showed any sign of stability at all - Im breaking into DD mode. Mystics can constantly heal while DDing, if they bothered to learn their skills.

I pissed him off by asking, "Why do I have all these DD spells, pets, and plants then?" b:chuckle

Any Mystic that JUST HEALS is a fail in my opinion. How can they be happy to just heal, when over half their spells are NOT heals? f:stare

He answered that he played a Mystic, so he knew. xD

JUST healing is not fun for me. Its not why a rolled a Mystic. It may be why HE rolled a Mystic, but the 'jack-of-all-trades' that the new class was advertised as being is what drew ME to it.

I dont care if I can heal 'faster' than a cleric. Only a botter wants to just stand there, look cute, and spam Break in the Clouds constantly, in solely my opinion.

That's just one example of the crazy rules.

You may be right in your interpretation of the OPs first post. I saw it different, maybe even hopefully so. *shrugs*

LOL, idk why? I dont speak Spanish. (That cartoon is kinda sucky, lol). xD

Nice to see you again Bella. ^.^

Im not playing anymore, but if you must know - DW. I was attracted to the friendliness they portray on their server forum.

RT and DW are both good servers. They both have good people on them. They are just different in attitude, and DWs was more my speed.

In the end, it doesnt matter the attitude of a server, if you cant do what you wanted to most. I wub BGs in any game. I used to wub them in this one too.
