sure but you still need math. to calculate the cost of doing all that when you could do other, more profitable stuff.

It might depend some on your char and what you want to do with it, but R8 is pretty much out-dated - unless your end-game goal is R9 maybe.

The game mechanics now involve how Attack and Defense levels configure between two players. R8 has no/nada/none attack or defense levels...QQ.

Most players are going for N3 gears now (about half as good as R9T3).

R8 is still fine for most (not all) end-game PvE.

A road to fixing the problem with R8 could maybe be an Aegis Blessing for +30 Def, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for that. In the end, it wouldn't do all that much anyway.

Personally, I went R8r armor set and Warsoul Recast wep. I just need to continue farming NW to do rerolls on the R8r gears to get what I am shooting for... Given the right stats rolled, R8r can compete with R9rr... The only ones who do not recognize this are already all +12 and josd in R9+ or T3 Nirvy ... just ****ing lol at all those who truly believe R8r is "outdated" b:laugh

Im not sure most Magic classes would agree its better than N3, but you probably would know better than I do.

You probably will at some point. If I remember correctly, Apostasy had a way of making his old R7 work, when everyone had abandoned it for R8. I could have him confused with someone else, but I dont think so, lol.

You could be right. It's not like Im a stalking love-struck fan or anything, I just remember a vid posted in a faction where he was high-lighting PKing in R7 (I think it was +10) - IF its the same player.

Im not lookin at this in a negative way at all. It's a good idea. I still need to get around to googlin a free recording software, downloadin it and testin it out a tad. Then Vids can be VS r9rr and T3N of every class, 1v1's. Maybe this is something I'll get around to before r10 comes out. We'll see.

Great you have such a good memory and all... is great that you remember I advocated channeling as a good thing on a psy and all, hell, I still do... However... Sorry but you are wrong, a properly refined and shard R8 weapon can hit just as hard as a G16 Niv weapon. @ +12 the G16 may hit harder but the r8 is not far behind it. The only thing lacking is the attack levels to cancel out any def levels unless you go R8R then get either gof or some attack levels. The R8R armor can have some nice stats to for both pve and pvp.

I have tested this quite alot in pvp and pve

my r8 bow out damages my t3 bow by a good amount of damage. with more crit and speed.
