Venos! Can your loyal pet and battle buddy NOT evolve?

Well mine can't either. And I'm frustrated. Grant it, most of the popular one's can, and that's cool. I'm working right now to evolve my Kowlin, Armored Bear, Walker and and Wanderer. That's nice. But the only one I really gave a damn about, my favorite, the one I spent the most money on, and the one that's been with me the longest, can't. I posted this on another thread.

I kind of have one... tiny little problem with it.

It's not exactly a problem in a sense that it hinders my ability to play the game, in fact, this is entirely a personal problem, but even so, I'd ask that you hear me out. I'm not in anyway going to be rude about this. I would just like to voice this concern on the off chance that someone from PWI is willing to help me out.

I was looking through my pet bag today after Rising Call was finished applying itself to my computer, and was glad to see that my Kowlin, Bear, Glacial and Dark Wanderer were all available for evolution. I wasn't too upset about my tabby or my death knight or even my sea monster not being able to evolve; I was planning to replace them with the new legendaries and old ones anyway.

But I noticed that, much to my dismay, my Chaos, that is to say, my Bloodthirsty Adalwolf, my favorite pet, the pet I've been using since level 15, the pet I've been using for almost three plus years, the pet I bought scrolls off the auction house for so I could continue using it at high levels, did not have the evolution option.

Now, I thought to myself, "Well, you should have expected this. I mean, you're the only one that uses it. And they're not going to make every pet evolve, obviously," but even so, I can't except this. It's the only pet that I really liked, the first one I named, and the one that's saved my butt more times than I can count. And it's a HELL of alot more loyal to me than most of the players on this server, and a hundred times more useful. You might think it's strange, and it is, don't get me wrong. But that pet's my buddy. It deserves better. After all the **** other people have put me through for using it, after people telling me it sucks, and that I should get something better, after all this, it deserves better.

I've been a loyal player for a long time, and a regular customer, and while a lot of people have left PWI I have stayed through everything. And I will continue to support this game. I like it. And I've never asked for anything from it before.

But I'll ask now. Help me out. Let my buddy join the cool pets club. I don't care what the other players have to say about it. I'll even pay for it if you'd like. Nothing fancy; just let my Chaos turn into one of those Krixxix-looking Adalwolf's or..... something.

And if you can help me out with this, please let him have the gotee. The other Adalwolfs make fun of him for not having facial hair. I think he get self-concious.

But I don't think this is enough. Veno's, if your favorite pet, your battle buddy, has been given the shaft by PWI, let your voice be heard. Tell PWI it deserves better. Maybe this is pointless to most of you, but no one ever got anywhere by staying silent. To me, this is worth a huge shot in the dark.

Other classes, loyal players, help us out. If you have the time, voice your support for us. Let the PWI administration hear our combined voice.

Ehh...they probably should let the other pets evolve even without giving them a makeover, but really dunno why people expected every single pet to be updated. Of course they would only do the rare and popular ones (which...leaves the snow hare and tabby cat as pretty glaring omissions, but whatevs).

You're story is really touching... Yeah I have a pet like that too... My dear little Tabby Cat... Though I'm not sure I'd like it to change into something that looks less cute either... But I agree, we should at least be given the option to choose to evolve out beloved pets... I'm sure this will happen eventually though... They probably picked a small amount of pets that can be evolved right now because it's still in somewhat of a testing phase... If it's popular enough, and there's enough demand for other pets to evolve too, there's no doubt it'll happen eventually... f:grin

Edit: Oh wow... Cudly pup and Piggy will look beautiful when they Evolve... You can see the evolutions when you visit the Ecatomb Pet's Stat page now... Whoa~! I wanna evolve my puppy~! Just 8 more lvles to go... f:thanks

After reading this, I seen your problem. Either YOU are under level 100 AND/OR your pets are under level 100. If you reread for what level veno this is intended for, you will facepalm.

There's a lot of pets that can't evolve. My Eldergoth Marksman (level 101) can't evolve, my Celestial Sting (level 100) can. My Abysmal Turtle (level 100) can't evolve, my Celestial Plumpfish (level 83) will be able to when I get it up there.

I dont see any point this thread ... As i understood, the OP thinks that shes the only one who has a deeper connection to her pet and so its fair that her Pet should be allowed to evolve too? I understand that shes a bit jealous or dissapointed that her favorite pet cant evolve, but seriously .. what is the point opening a thread about it? Its not like every pet that cant evolve is now fail and you cant use it anymore. If you really like it so much, give a damn to that update and play like before. b:lipcurl

It wasn't to be expected for all of the pets to be evolvable, as there are many tamables (still wish there were more) and pw is rather lazy. Still, I am surprised they made new models for some of them at all. Maybe they should let the rest of them evolve without changing the models as Eoria suggested (though I wouldn't mind fixes of them - looking same as mobs).

I hope they won't got he lazy way and make it so that same pet groups evolve into same model though. Like all the different coloured bees end up looking the same.

Nor my pets or veno are close to 100 so I personally don't have a problem with it (yet?). I don't think any pet that I use is evolvable either.

They did say "...list of currently evolvable pets..." Not sure if "currently" suggest this might change in the future. Perhaps if we show interest in it, though I can hardly imagine them doing it for all the pets, as some might be never used by any 100+ veno.

Well no, OP encourages others that might have the same issue to say it too, to perhaps eventually come to some changes on that. I won't bother leveling my veno as my pets can't be evolved; not gonna change to popular ones.

I can somewhat relate
I had been soloing things until lv 22 and got my first pet (Wilderness Lynx)
Though I'm not 100 yet, I kinda already know that my lovely Kilk won't evolve (since he isn't that popular of a pet)
However, I have cooped a bit and prepared myself for the bad news of him not evolving into a new appearance
Perhaps its good that they don't evolve into a new appearance

well, alot of venos level 100 don't still have pets from when they where a baby veno...so chances are they won't be evolved. All my pets can well sorta some not lvl 100. My pets herc, nix, Hatchling, Both bears, kowlin. plumbfish

This is only a new feature. Perhaps there is a chance that they will add more evolution options to other potential pets at a later date.
Do not despair too soon

The more venos push for more options, the more likely we will be to succeed

I want to see my pet first before they evolve into a pet that I might think is ugly. Sadly I cant even find a link on how my pets will look like after the evolution. For the rest off this patch I find it disappointing ........Still no changes on my game play accept wait and hope to get bH done before i log off to sleep. Wonder these idiots ever change event time so European can join too ........OR at lease let us transfer after being stuck for 4 year on a USA server! So with a bit off lucky you get your update for your favorite pet before that ........

Seriously though, don't feel too bad. Even the evolved nix is utterly useless. I'm still left with the choice of "DD and debuff or spend all my time reviving and healing this pet that does 1/3 the damage I do." When I'm on my sin I want to punch venos in the face when they summon a pet in a dungeon, and this evolution system still hasnt changed that...

Here's a list. Clicking on the name will pull up the image of the evolved pet and on the bottom of their stat card tell's you what they evolve from.

I understand you well op. I was looking forward to evolve my old sawfly which in its time helped me a lot in pk, and everyone would be in awe cause I was rocking with that sawfly. The problem is that my sawfly is a blue one... qq. So it can't evolve, and that's really sad cause the sawflies that can evolve look really cool.

I guess adding a evolution to every single tamable mob is a lot of job, I understand. But in my case I just wonder, why couldn't they allow any kind of bee to become a generic evolved bee. I wouldn't had minded to lose the blue color at all =(.

At least my magnamite can evolve, which is the 1st pet I had for tanking, and helped me farm my hercules long time ago.

I did some damage tests with my cleric friend, and she (who is wearing darn good gear) was quite impressed by the nix's new dd capabilities without me even assisting. I was actually shocked how well mine did, and the new mood skills mine has. That's with mine having pretty low attack levels compared to some, so I imagine any of the ones people have with 50+ attack levels hurting even more.
And... you want to punch venos in the face for playing their class? Craziest thing I've heard in a while b:chuckle

Let me share how strong my nix got after its evolution...
I have a cleric that has full nv-3 gear all +9. He was self buffed, and I started a macro that is just ironheart and wellspring surge, my ep also had charm. Well, my nix started to auto attack and it ticked my ep's charm many times, lol. After a few ticks, I used pound (when the stun was over I restarted the heal macro) and my ep was very close to die with just pound + some auto attacks.

As for tankiness. Now is so much better. Now the only way for a r9 to one shot my pet is to use some skill that ignores defense levels, or that has increased damage against pets.

I didn't even know there're just some pets that can be evolved (update is running right now), but that's unfair, like, now, even more than before, venos will have all the same pets (althought most of them already did, you're an exception ^^)
So, I havent seen the new pet thing update but what I understood from what you wrote, the ones we can evolve are just a few, the most popular ones and they change their appearance when evolved. I think pwi should make all pets available to evolve but they dont need a new total appearance, maybe they just need better adjustments on their skin and form (idk how to explain, but my foxwing looks so weird and so... pixelizated!)

Wrong... I'm lvl 100 and so is my tabby. She can't evolve even though she has the icon in the pet bag. b:cry
