If you are on raging tide, go hang around the east end of king's feast
there is a cleric that circles around the herb patches on the top and bottom of the hill.
it is there 24hourss a day every day.
it knows not to pick lumaligos wood, but it gets the corundum hits.
it is pretty smart about not going after herbs near skrunchkins, and will circle until one moves.
if I get on my ride, which is far faster than the bot's fly, I can start taking the herb he was heading for but he still tries to get the herb until it is gone.
then the program snaps his attention to the next herb, which I can race to first and he does the same thing. after the herbs he gets the corundum, which I can wait for him to head for and start mining it. he sits there until it is gone
the thing CAN defend itself. when I kited jewel over there, it came for the herbs right where jewel and I were sitting.
ANY LIVE LOWBIE HUMAN WOULD HAVE BEEN SHTTING BRICKS SEEING JEWEL PARKED THERE IN THE HERBS ON TOP OF KING"S FEAST

the part that is really sad is I can waste hours reporting this 24/7 bot that any gm or other halfwit can see it is an automated toon farming herbs endlessly.
this is really frustrating and bots is why I quit WoW. bots is why i'm not real loyal to this game any longer either.

actually, via the lax policy on botters, management really encourages everyone to bot. since a) you need to to keep up b) no penalty for doing it anyway.0

Nope. (there are macros within the game for auto attack related stuff, but I'm talking about third party stuff)

Ive been wondering about the use of GA to help combat this. HOWEVER only way to do this would be a Kick form server button. Saying that they will relog. Could we not have a room to put all these bots into. with 1 herb between them all!0 -
Reporting won't do anything, as people in previous OMG FKING BOT threads have stated, they report report report and the very next day, bot still there, 2 weeks later, bot still there.
The general response to bots are to change things that, while hurt bots sure, also hurt players more (DQ nerf n such).
The good thing is, since AEU n Base pots, the herb market isn't much of a big deal. Everyone, go make herb bots, cuz it would be hilarious to watch a bunch of bots competing for herbs.0 -

it also would be nice if bots+ main acounts get linked, by tracing ips or trade logs. so this main acount get a perma ban or at least a punish for all they did. like taking all the money the bots made for them. if they got r9rr full jods full +12 it wont hurt if gms remove their armors/weapons/ornaments and such.

Two days ago i reported 4 bots on Morai server via support ticket system.Yesterday i got message says: solved,so i went to check it out and guess what,all bots gone.I know they will be back in few days but it doesnt hurt me to send another ticket with screenshots.Anyway just wanted to say thank you GMs for that.0

Problem is that I don't think GMs can accurately figure out how much money was made with a bot. Hell, I don't think they can even figure that out LOL[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

they can, they can look for the log files. they can trace everything in game. every item and see ur activity. even u can do it :P there is a txt file where it shows ur daylie activity, from talking to an npc, what bh reward u got and such.0 -

We have threads on my faction forums where we post ticket responses because while some ticket submissions are very helpful, there seems to only be one employee responding for our entire server and half the time he's downright rude or negligent of the problems. Blatent harassment and ToS violations are ticketed and the response some people get is the ever professional "Get over it. Ticket Closed."
So I'm just curious what is the actual process after we submit a ticket showing botting. I've submitted pics, I've submitted videos, and nothing has been done which makes me suspect they are entirely ignoring bot tickets.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Anyone that looks at herb shop with 10's of thousands of herbs and thinks they farmed them without a bot are stupid.
Herbs might be less used now but when u can sell herbs for say 1k each and lets say bot can pick 25 herbs up a minute 150k and hour thats 3.6m a day not alot but since you could have 4 all doing it in different areas thats 14.4m and that IF they sell each herb at 1k.
Easy to tell how these's people got so many herbs after all who farms herbs more than 4hrs before getting bored me myself farm herb when i want to make some pots but ive seen MANY people selling herbs that bot and dont care since
A:pwi dont normally ban them
B:IF pwi does ban them they dont trace ip to ban the main toon
So all the person does is make another toon and back they go botting.
All in all id say pwi should ban the main toon of the botter even if its a 105 cash player.0 -

I've done the same with the same results. The trouble is that there are now so many bots that you'd have to spend as much time reporting them as trying to play the game! On a lower level character I got a Divine Contract to kill Rockenwolves - it was a real pain because of the number of botters there. The situation has become ridiculously out of hand and PWI need to do something more pro-active than (as another poster has already stated) introducing nerfs that hurt regular players too or leaving it to players to submit multiple tickets - which can't be much fun for their GMs either!0 -

It doesn't work that way, it never will. That's what makes it so hard, a better solution would be for them to check with who the toons keep trading the coins back to, but even then you can't be sure because they could still trade it through multiple routes to their main.
