PWI: Rising Call - Questions and Answers! [2013-06-12]

The PWI Team is proud to announce our latest content update, PWI: Rising Call! From an expanded Nation Wars with all new battlefields, to new Venomancer pets, new quests, and new ways to power up, the rising call of the sirens of war has reached a fevered pitch, and the fate of Perfect World once again lies in your hands!

Get ready for a flood of updates, as Rising Call will include:

- Expanded Nation Wars Regional Map
- Two new Nation Wars battlefield maps
- New Venomancer Pets
- New Venomancer Evolution system
- Updated and revamped high level instances
- The powerful and potent Meridian System
- New quests
- New equipment
- And more!

Keep your eyes on the news page over the next several days, as we'll be previewing new content as we run up to our live update day!

Ask your questions in this thread, and I'll update this post with answers!

Release Date?
June 19th!

Venomancer updates?
Stay tuned, as we'll have an in depth look at these posted on the news page soon!

Meridian system?
We'll have a detailed look at this on the news page soon. For now, I can say that this system will give everyone the chance to permanently increase their stats!

New equipment?
The new equipment will not affect the full armor sets currently available, but will primarily appear in forms of new accessories.

Nation Wars?
Yes, the Nation Wars region map size is being increased, and no we are not getting cross-server PVP. (Apologies for any confusion regarding the microsite; the text was previously incorrect, stating that we were getting cross-server PVP.)

We're aware that many players are concerned about how this will impact the Nation Wars gameplay, and I promise we'll be keeping a close eye on how this affects everyone.

+2 Atk stones, new class/race?
Yes to attack stones, no to new class/race this time.

Low level players?
This update is focused on mid to high level players.

NW time slots?
We're still working on this; no new time slots this time, sorry!

Accessory updating?
Via high level instances!

New skills?
Not this time, sorry!

Nation War cauldron changes?
Not this time, sorry!

Obtaining the new veno pets?
Not through the existing Sources of Force and Phoenix Feathers, but you will need other items. More details coming with the launch.

Obtaining +3 atk gems? New battlefields on the regional map of Nation Wars? Faction Icons update? Nation Wars Bridge Battle archers to prevent spawn killing?
3x Diamond of Tiger, tooltip, yes, yes.

    Why do people still ask these questions?
    Answer to 1, 3, 4 is No. Answer to 2 is Yes, but only new map for NW.

    Yes, I'm wondering that too.

    Buy why are venomancers getting so many new updates?
    First new looks, now better pets & upgrades?

    What about the other classes?
    How will PWI stay balanced?

    Also, new equipment?
    Next stage from G16 to G17?
    R9r3 to R9r4?

    Or new gear thats a different path, but As good as G16?
    Like a possible alternative to Warsong gears?

    Also, will you re-vamp Nirvana? So you can farm it & still be useful?

    I second that. All I ever see is alternate characters being made, but no new players. Would be great to see an incentive to pull in new players in the Rising Call Expansion.

    2. Yep, ish. We'll be outlining the new Nation Wars maps over the next few days.
    3. Yep. Keep your eyes peeled for an indepth look at the Venomancer update!
    4. We'll be updating the PW Boutique with new items and new sales.

    probably it's the gem combining system for +2 attack stones
    you only purge once #yopo

    Does the new equipment branch off from r9s3? If so it would be nice to know now before i invest a lot into finishing my shards and refines.

    I hope this time the new wep system is nothing like warsong with random drops, please make it similar to nirv. Random drop sucks and I hope the new place is where u can get new wep(I hope these weps are not lame like morai was)

    My speculations for the content update were correct! I'll be done with my exams by the time it goes live too, so that's the best part of all! I get to finish my exams and then get right into the new stuff f:cute

    Questions!!!
    - Are you guys going to post some information and guidelines on the new pet system?
    I'm sure we're going to need it; even if it's not very detailed but at least something to give players to work with and help them figure out how things work.

    - Any word on possible new time slots for NW? That issue with a lot of people being unable to participate in NW :(

    - Same question as Kris; is there anything for the lower level content?
