Are people seriously requiring 5 aps for EVERYTHING? Now?

i also stopped doing bh cause of this aps only, i was like b:shocked how am i suppesed to get 5 aps on a Cleric, but well, they are self proclaimed pro-players, so they must know better than me, well i still try to get a quad not asking for 5 aps Cleric, i still dont get how is 5 aps help a Cleric but i am just a casual player here, maybe there is an exploit i dont know and thats why they are asking for a 5 aps Cleric b:victoryb:bye

I won't even think of doing a marriage quest, unless the other person is 5 APS

EDIT: It's also why I stopped doing crazy stone. I noticed Tu Jo was not wearing claws or fists, so had to boycott her until she properly attires herself.

I just solo my BH aba and SOT... all drops to me and my alt. **** the waiting game boss is simpler alone anyway with just 1-2 APS characters attacking it does not heal much at all.

topic related question:

whats the point in taking a low damage assasin for your squad?
you could get a caster who deals more damage and hasmore survivability (light armor sucks -ehem)

i am always disappointed when i ask for a sin for /anything-in-this-game-no-matter-what/ and he has only 6k hp or less
i always think... great.. we are going to have a fun time -_-
the assassin wont die at all no no no. i wont have to log mine cause he sucks no no no (ws)

an assasin stating to be 2aps usually comes with 4-6k hp aaaand damage so low its not really noticeable.
so best you get is a wasted spot in your squad for someone who dies all the time instead of helping

worse than that are those with 4k hp and a +12 weapon...
they die even more cause they actually get aggro

Just don't join the stupid squads that are looking for APS. Most of the squads that don't specifically advertise for APS chars don't care what class they take as long as they have a tank and cleric, so watch for those instead.

Or do what I do, and make your own. I run 6-8 BH Abas on Aba day and none of them are APS squads.

i lost interest when i seen a mod come in and and simply tore down the OP in open via a reply on the topic. when new people join the game and see that. they cant but wonder,, is this how pwi talks to and treats there players? then they quit. i been playing for 4 years and well. it dont supprise me anymore. but still, if i was a new player i woulda just simply left due to the post. but since i been around, lets just say its expected. b:sad

My point was the best way to avoid people asking for aps is to let them know that the better players are dodging them. Asking for aps lets us know how much of a nub the person is.


Similarly, if I'm on my barb and I see a Aba or Seat being wined I dodge that squad. Wining saves about 30 seconds-2minutes of the instance and in most cases takes longer to pickup the wine. Since Aba and Seat have changed I've had it happen about 10 times where we were waiting and waiting for someone to get inside and finally "Sorry, I was getting wine" and they wine the instance not knowing that in the time it took them to get the wine we cleared all the way to the boss. Personally, if a person depends on wine for BH100 I avoid them.

The fact that you failed to recognize my post as satirical and a blatant use of exaggerated irony is beyond me.

You're not even on topic, as this thread is originally about not getting accepted into pve instances.

But, in address to you, possessing a high number of aps is far from broken in pvp. Aside from them nerfing it so that every fifth attack auto-misses at 5.0 Clerics such as yourself now have a soul burn skill, archers have leaps, wizards have arcane defense and the whole lot of arcanes have purify proc.

None of those even matter though because the current gear tier does not support interval. Anyone that tries to stay a high aps player is significantly sub-par defensively and can be killed in a couple shots by absolutely any class that has converted to current high tier gears.

Now that I'm done explaining why you are simple I'll go back on topic.

Any squad that requires high aps as a joining requisite is either undergeared or incompetent. Aps is totally moot when you have over 100 attack levels, especially when the BH boss (as in the OPs example) receives buffs as a result of being auto-attacked.

It's very simple, a +12 first stage R9 wizard is out DD'd by a +10 5.0 1st cast Nirv daggers sin. It doesn't matter if your weapon was +0 or +12 you would still not be a good DD when compared to 5.0 sins.

Also for that person who said a full APS squad in warsong would be a horrible idea;
