Are people seriously requiring 5 aps for EVERYTHING? Now?

Took a long *** break from this game, came back and tried to get into bh abba party, no one will take me because they all ask "Five aps" and of course having only 2 i'm forbidden from joining the party, lol. I think i'm remembering why i got bored with this game, its all aps or gtfo, no room for any variation

    The people who are idiots are.

    And, unfortunately, they form a fairly large percentage of those you'll deal with in general gameplay or when attempting to join a random squad.

    It is seriously stupid i agree. Sure if you're going to do something like multi warsong runs, then maybe make an aps requirement...but for the daily bh? People are stupid lol

    Not really. The Aps craze has died down for as much as I have seen since the game came out.
    Maybe in terms of pve yeah, people want Aps to kill bosses faster. To be quite honest, getting 5 Aps now is just so easy. It doesn't make you special. If you don't have high Aps and you're a sin, chances are your hp is low and you'll get 1 shot by the new bh boss's anyway.

    While I don't really agree with the whole Aps only thing, a sin isn't exactly an uncommon class. And let's be honest, in pve that's all they can do. If I world chat for a sin everyone and their mother pm me. I either just take someone I know who's a good sin regardless of gear although often they are the same thing, or I just don't take a sin. More often than not I just don't take sins.
    The reasons for this are that most under geared sins are more hassle than help. I know this isn't true for a lot of sins. You do get the odd sin with 5k hp and 3.33 Aps that doesn't die on the boss in a bh. Props to them. However, I'd rather just not worry about this


    You're complaining about this game being more Aps than ever, bh bosses now have anti Aps buffs, pvp is most definitely not Aps dominant any more and you play the most Aps dependent class in the game.
    Why don't you just reroll your class and qq less?

    Join a faction with reasonable players. Run with them. Problem solved.

    Yes. I find non 5 aps players an abominable waste of space on this game and think they should all quit. It is all too clear that aps is the obvious winning strategy for everything.

    Just do yourself a favor and do not run with them. A BH that absolutely needs or thinks it.needs a 5Aps sin are going to be floor huggers anyway. Save your experience points.

    Perhaps its possible this thread was meant as a discussion between those who also take humor in everyone's obsession with one specific play style.

    Forum: A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

    But on a more serious note, a thread like this, if not a legitimate complaint actually requesting advice, is likely to end poorly if it goes on for any duration. And even if it was a real concern you'd still have a good few people that would wind up ruining the thread itself.

    Besides, we already have threads for poking fun at things people do ingame or rolling our eyes at them, as the case may be.

    I don't quite understand.
    APSing Leafy is usually a horrible idea unless your squad are either capable of killing it within a spark cycle or stop poking it when it's got bloodrush active (Pan Gu help you if there's an idiot who wont stop when it obviously wont die before that buff wears off). A Barb-friend of mine and I usually just run with mostly arcane squads and take her (and Captivation, who I'm still surprised to see APS squads trying to kill when non-aps squads do it a lot faster) out without any issues.

    Some idiots think the only way to beat the ABBA boss is to have enough aps to kill the boss before the red buffs come on. But people like this are very rare its not hard to find squad with likable people in it.

    Word to the wise, its usually below average players who start squads and try to hold incoming people to elite standards. And OP people usually don't care what squad they are in because they know they can almost solo the instance. Just today I joined an ABBA bh squad and they let in a sin I've run with before who I know could solo the whole cave and they asked him if he could tank the boss and he said maybe if a veno purges and amps. So they got a veno for him and he kills the boss in one spark. Things like full warsong are different. But for BH100 the OP players just join any squad and figure they will carry it. Well most of them do.

    I like to join those ignorant and arrogant parties and see how many times I can force wipe before they catch on

    So for the Squad leader they can be picky when choosing sins, or just take the 1st one that PM'd them.
    my guess is they would of asked for your aps to differentiate between the 20 sins that messaged him. take no offence by it.

    Run with friends/ Fraction members or Form yourself.
    if all else fails - re roll

    Hook and Thorns is nice weapon for those sins who got paper armor. Much better than paper armor and Netherworld Guidance +awesome
