Yes, yes it is. If you've been scammed, submit a ticket. With proof.

Always...as is hacking, abusing certain glitches, PK'ing in SP without consent of the other person, and whatnot.

Server transfers are done at your own risk. They wouldn't actually tell you if the person was banned. They'd feed you some line but they don't discuss discipline with other people. They certainly would not give you your coins back since you're trying to get around game mechanics. I know people who have been banned for scamming.

Yes, that is bannable. And if you're just gonna try to get some kind of exhaustive list of bannable scams, not only will I close this but it wouldn't even work even if I did give you that. They can ban you for any reason they see fit, it's right there in the ToS. which you can read here: http://www.perfectworld.com/about/terms

If you've taken someone's daggers, I suggest you give them back to them. You'll make your case better. If you had yours taken, submit a ticket. Specific bans are not permitted to be discussed on the forums.

I have a strange feeling the original poster is wanting to make sure he's safe before he takes someone else's hard work for himself, based on how he's wording his replies..

Sounds like a rotten deal from the start, usually serious manufacturing services will offer some sort of colateral. I'm sorry for whoever was trusting, naive, enough to allow this but this isn't even a scam, it's outright theft. I don't see much to discuss here and I'll be siding with the mods on this one, if this was done to you send a ticket. If you're on the other end give back the item, there's just no defending holding on to it.

I think it would be more appropriate to just give the poster the benefit of the doubt, that his/her intentions of the question are positive.

When you report someone (scam or any other action against the TOS) they don't tell the punishment, so technically we cannot tell you if it's permanent or not.

I have after his next few posts.

And to the original poster, I would not know that information. When it comes to punishments, it's best to assume the worse. If not a permanent ban, then it will be a good while. If they have a past with temp bans, then there's a likely chance they'll be permanently banned if caught. If it is a report against someone, then you will not know the outcome of the ban. If it is you, you will find out yourself.

Val's most likely sleeping right now. He also has lots of work to do on his end, so there's little chance he'll reply instantly, unless you caught him at the right time.

Give it time. He'll respond usually within 24 hours, unless it's a holiday.

questions never hurt. admittedly there are some questions that people would consider common sense but it may not be so common knowledge. i've seen scams happen in world chat a few times, even my faction leader got hit with a random dye service one. most people complain and forget to send in the ticket about the scam which is why there's so many still around. need to be careful and trust only select people with the stage 3 upgrading, like irl friends.

I see ppl advertising best luck tokens but actually selling normal tokens for 4.8 mil. I haven't fallen for it, but almost did once and know ppl who have. There are a couple of variations on this scam but you get the picture. Selling stuff that has similar icons but aren't the same thing (like golden boxes for nightspike boxes etc)

I am wondering if this counts as banable scamming or not. I'm not going to submit tickets or anything when I see ppl doing this but I might leave a msg with a warning, or go on wc to warn ppl off.
One person doing this told me he just accidentally dragged the wrong tokens in his shop but I had seen his shop doing it for about a week so that's unlikely.

I just seriously dislike it when ppl ruin someones day like that.

As for manufacturing. I do that a lot for ppl on my veno. Never occurred to me to steal their stuff. I don't ask for anything other than whatever it costs me to make it.
However I would not have someone else manufacture something expensive for me unless they're in my faction.

One of my friend told me that when he see a shop like that (pretending to sell something, but sell something else) and right click on the player and click report hacking, he told me that generally when he do it he don't see the shop for a while, but I personally don't know if it really work or not.

I know someone who followed a catshop ( advertising selling tokens or teles or somethiing for 9999, but were 999999 in the shop) with his shop alt all over arch for 2 or 3 days in a row, setting up right beside him with the title scammer and an arrow pointing at the offending shop.
We had a good time with it in vent as he gave us the play by play.b:laugh

+1... Besides, scamming is the norm anyway which is backwards since this company doesn't even follow their own TOS. It is just that people who scam in a moronic way would probably be banned for maybe 2-3 days or something if the reporter is lucky to get the scammer banned.
WTB PWI 2008 where people were thinking more about doing good rather than pretending to be.
