Hey, it's Monday, which means GM's are back to work! Perhaps you guys can take a look at this now. b:cuteJust getting ready for Christmas.

I post pictures of myself in every post I make. Maybe it's in relation to what I'm talking about, maybe it's just a random picture of me showing off. Who knows!0 -

I disconnected before NW (not due to game lag or anything else, it was the server as I spiked up to 8.5k ping) and also during it. This afternoon in TW, I ended up disconnecting4-5 times as well as 2 major lag spikes which lasted over 15 seconds. Do you know how bad that is as I'm playing a main cata barb?
I know there are other people experiencing this as well as I talked to a few people in vent who had it as well as some friends in the opposing faction who had the same issues.
What is going on with your servers lately, PWI? Random absolute NW disconnects on three servers and now at least HT is getting this.Sheswes - Heavens Tear wrote: »the f !!! TW at 2:00 pm was a disaster coz of this lags - 5-10 sec lag spikes ~10 times? and ppl were disconnecting like crazy - GC was full of "bumps".
I fixed all the definitions for you. It's important to use the appropriate word when describing a problem, otherwise it may be harder to get help.
When you say you crash, it means that your client closed by itself due to a bug, or because it reached the 2.0 gb cap of RAM. This has nothing to do with the server's connection, or your connection. This is a problem with the client and your PC.
Disconnecting is when your network or the server's are not working properly. You could have good fps, but bad connection, (high ping).
Anyway, Lost City has been having connection problems too .I'm pretty sure it's related to the servers because whenever I dc, or have lag spikes, a lot of my friends and guildmates also dc, or complain about lag, respectively.
Last night, a lot of people disconnected during nation wars, and when I came back, half of my squad had also got dc'ed, and there was a lot of people at base. A few minutes later I got locked in base for about 15min b:sweat0 -

b:embarrass Here in pwi is not a extremely rare case when the servers fail or have connection problems, mind you. This has happened many times already...
By hub, I hope you don't mean the actual device known as hub, cause only dinosaurs use those now days. If you mean like someplace where we connect before reaching the server, it's almost impossible to have a problem there because as you know internet routes are redundant. If one route is not available, then we simply are directed though another one. What would be very rare actually is that all routes failed.0 -
I didn't have too much of a problem with it before, but the "snow effect" in the major cities now it starting to change that.
Turns a bit of lag into a full DC around NW time b:surrenderChaos is an ally not something to avoid...After all, how can your foes stand up to you if they have no idea what your next move will be?

I discconected 5 times during TW and was almost dropped three times more, I had three continous pings to different servers: The local google server (google.com.co), Microsoft main page (www.microsoft.com) plus bentley site also in U.S.A (www.bentley.com) NEITHER of them dropped a single packet and yet at the same time I got disconnected from PWI b:surrender curse you PWI servers.
This has never happened before someone messed up on the last patch, I know for sure since I used to leave my catshop overnight and never disconnected whatsoever.0 -

On top of what everyone up there said, there is this:
http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download
In the system requirements section down on that page you see clearly this:
***1GB of RAM (2GB or more recommended for XP, 3GB or more for Windows Vista and Windows 7)
So .....Fiddlesticks. b:surrender
And on top of that i have been reading about the infamous memory leak out there sooo...yes having lots of ram may or may not help :P
b:sad0 -
i did get a big spike lag one time. That may have been last week or so.
Since then i make sure to relog, and turn all my other apps off on my PC including browser so basically vent and PWI are the only things on ;o
for me that helps. (i dont use 32bit tho)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]lagunal8.deviantart.com

and where does it say that once you ran out of RAM memory, your game will crash? I'm using a PC with win7 and only 2 GB of RAM ... 3 clients, all catshopes (west Archasourb:shocked) and not a single crash for over a yearb:surrender I always thought, less/worse RAM = games run slower[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

2 gbs for one application/client, not the sum of the same one. During Tw's I've checked how much RAM the client it's using and it's usually around 1gb. So, at least for me is a bit hard to get to 2.0 gbs.
When am I waiting to get the nation war entry pass, and then for the start of nation wars, I'm always checking if I'm getting close to that limit. If I'm close to it, and still have time to relog, I relog, instead of crashing at a bad moment.0 -

I run 2 Lenovo laptops, both with i7 processors(3.6ghz max speed), 16GB of ram and 1TB hard drives on Windows 8 and im getting crazy lag on both of them. I haven't been dc'ed yet, but the lag spikes are crazy. To the point where I don't want to even be on the game. I get lag just running through west, or flying for that matter. 2800-3500 ping. My old laptop was 1.4ghz with 4GB of ram on Windows 7 and never had a problem. I just got the new laptops on Friday, everything else in my house is running smooth as far as wifi and both have full bars. I shouldn't be having any issues as far as the game goes. I been playing for 3 years with a few issues along the way as far as server crashes, but never any issues as far as it being my connection. I just so happened to plug in my 2 older laptops and they both are getting lag spike, just like the new laptops. So it's not anything on the home front, it's a server problem since the last update with the snowmen. I checked several thing. I even did verify files on all 4 laptops, and still the same. I'm hoping that with tonights update, something is fixed. I play on HT server.R9s3 Beast w/Demon Facepalm0

By the way, I use 1 client per new laptop. I don't run all 4 laptops. My girl uses 1 new laptop, and I use one. Pulling out the old laptops was to test to see if we are having the same issues as the new laptops and we are. Maybe they'll have a fix on this update.R9s3 Beast w/Demon Facepalm0

Quick update:
So, our devs think they've found a disconnecting issue and found a way to fix it. We're not 100% sure it's the same issue related to the mass disconnections, but hopefully it'll help! We hope to have the fix out next week.
We're still working on upgrading the server hardware.
Again, I apologize for these issues, but we're doing our best to fix them. I'll post more info as I learn more.
