I play game, unlike you. You don't play and still troll on forum.
Go away! If you don't play, why complain? You're bored in your life and your only fun is to troll here. b:shocked0 -

It's not hard to figure out if you know pwi well, but being with a foreign community gets boring especially if you don't have any English friends on there.
I'd rather you simply look into p servers as opposed to going on to pwcn, it is not worth the hassle.
If you are that upset about pw, you should take a break from it.
True dat, **** it I'll go P server -- rather be with fellow English speaking folk0 -

ok from what i have read its better to set my hopes on PW CN i am simply wasting time and money at PWI.
No ip blocks that's a good thing time to slowly migrate to CN version i have had enough of PWIs foolishness.
ppl who keep taking PWs side are either heavy cash shoppers have friends as heavy cash shoppers or has a husband or wife who they can mint money off in-game all freaking gold diggers in the end !
but you all QQ now in the end PW will say
" New class / race coming up and all the flashy shiat "
you all like flock of mindless sheeps will just come running back here
yay PWI makes money on hypers starter packs mounts and what not stuff!
so either make up ur mind start migrating slowly to another game
or
stop the QQ keep playing if u goona always suck up to PW!
everywhere on the forums its like that jesus
GMS or PWI dont giv Shiat to whats going on why are u all bothering stop using Forums stop posting and then see how they come back crawling to us !

Isn't that case with every other MMO game?
You make one engine and try to make as many games as possible on that engine.
Why? To reduce costs. Isn't that logical? To me it is.
It's their engine, meaning they don't have to pay anything to anyone if they use it.
And they won't "Pull the plug" from any game as long as it's making profit. So instead of QQ-ing about Cash Shoppers, you should be glad that there is so many of them, cause they are the one keeping the game alive.
And stop trolling, you're always talking nonsense.
Well now, aren't you pleasant? >_>
1) It's public knowledge that PWI had a 5 year lifespan, people have dug up posts from Dev blogs and whatnot stating just that.
2) True, you try to maximize games developed for a single game engine. However, the game engine used for PWI has actually been 'updated', not too long ago in fact. However, the engine used for PWI is more like 8 years old, the original PW game was P2P in China about 7 years ago.
3) I do believe that the engine was purchased from another company. I'm not positive on that...
4) If you are under ANY illusion that this game still receives support from the PWE staff, you are dead wrong. PWE applies whatever patch from China, and they play with the boutique. That's it.
Let's compare to a well known P2P MMO from Blizzard.
1) Engines originally made around the same time, give or take a year.
2) P2P engine updated constantly, is now way more powerful and effecient than it was 8 years ago. F2P engine got a pretty much useless DX9 update (we're up to DX10 on consumer machines that are 3-4 years old, and DX11 is available on some 2 year old, super top of the line systems).
3) P2P MMO has a LOT more active members, despite the actual game having run LONGER than the F2P game.
4) Do I even need to THINK about mentioning customer support? I think I do. P2P MMO players have spent around $300 total if they have played for 5 years, subscribing monthly, and have all the expansions. They get Customer Supprot within a day at max, even on minor, easily handled issues. PWI has been going for a little over 4 years, people have put between $0 and $40,000 into the game, but regardless, they get the absolute minimum of customer support.
PWI engine SHOULD be updtated to give the game another 3-5 years of life. Instead, the opposite is happening./ork - Harshlands wrote: »They are doing something, they're letting the game die, on purpose. It's almost reached it's 5 year "life expectancy"...
Didn't you know that's the M.O. of Chinese MMO developers/companies? They create a game, they expect even the BEST of games to only last about 5 years, then they milk it for every last penny they can before physically "pulling the plug". After they do finally "pull the plug" they recycle it using regurgitated code/gfx/sounds and create another game (something PW Beijing didn't even wait to do, since they ALREADY have SO MANY OTHER GAMES that use Angelica (the same 'engine' as PW)!
And true. Look at just the games from China. I played LoMA for a while, I believe the 'plug has been pulled' on that game. I played it for a week, called it lame, and quit.101 Sage Sin*/Archer
100 Demon BM*/Barb
96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
95 Demon Wiz/
94 Sage Veno
85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

Small steps, compare it to smaller games, that have similar playerbase, around 1-1.5m players. That P2P you're talking about have 10m players. Huge number and there is zero to none chance that anyone soon will get to that number.
It's not secret that PWRD plan is to publish new games each year. They have more than 20 games published in China, and 6 more big games here overseas that aren't published in China.
And after all, you don't have to spend any real money to get best possible gear in game. It's just that most of players in USA and Europe are impatient. Want everything, right now.
Look at Chinese version of PWI, no hypers, no FC/FF, and I see lot's of people level 100-102 on their servers.
Almost every F2P game is made for Asian market first, as it is huge market, then those games are redesigned to suit western players. There is one P2P MMO that launched recently, and they openly said that they changed game system, they made quests and mobs give more exp, better drops. Cause Asian players have nothing against grinding, and in USA and EU players wants everything, served on silver platter.
And since I spent like, 50-60 USD on this game, I find customer service just fine.
Every time i submitted ticket I got response in 24-48h time-frame.Sarrafeline - Sanctuary wrote: »PWI engine SHOULD be updtated to give the game another 3-5 years of life. This game is typical example of asian-grind-fest type of game. You need to grind, grind, grind, grind to get that item you want. If you don't like it, stop playing, go to another game. It's that easy.0 -

Hypers are in pwcn. I know this because I have been on there. Hypers cannot be used in FCC, however.
As for your silver platter statement, what western players want is more diverse systems of grind as opposed to same old kill over 9000 mobs. They want better gratification of time put into a game. It's not necessarily "easy mode plz".
The reason why Asians don't mind the grind is because a lot of them play in internet cafes and often with their friends; this not only makes the grind easier but more enjoyable since they would be with others.
Westerners on the other hand typically play at home alone... If they do play with others, they communicate through the internet, not irl.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
CroPsy - Heavens Tear wrote: »Had 5 year lifespan? How come game is sill here, alive? It's passed (almost) 6 years since it was released in China.
P2P version of PWI was launched in January 2006. F2P in November 2006.
The 5 years was stated in a fancyass paper released by PWE, where it was clearly said that the expected lifespan of any of the games they host is 4-5 years.
Obviously the lifespan of the original PW in China is much different, as it's run very differently and has a different audience.Look at Chinese version of PWI, no hypers, no FC/FF, and I see lot's of people level 100-102 on their servers.

That exact argument was made by the GMs of PWI back in the day as to why we get all kinds of sales of endgame gear and whatnot. They are updating engine. Not by much, but updates are here. We got DX9 support, better graphics and performance in new area. Engine is old, really old and they're pulling max out of it. They need new engine and stop using this outdated piece of past (for their new game releases).
Rewriting the engine for an old game would be kinda ridiculous. As would be re-designing all the old areas to fit the quality seen in the Earthguard and Tideborn areas.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.0 -

Don't have any info on that. But it's possible that they bought some company that already had that game engine.
This would imply that PWI sometimes in the past received updates from PWE staff. Since PWi was released, all new content and update was created in China.
Yeah, let's compare company that gets more money in 1 month than PWRD in one quarter.

I'm not sayint that PWI is great and flawless, just trying to say that people need to lower their expetations for F2P games. It's not like someone is forcing others to stick to this game and play it forever.

Do you even have a point? or a side, because all I see is disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. Or are you trying to say that the game isn't declining or dying, and there is actually good customer service? Unless your little 85 psy is an alt I suppose you can't understand half of the points being made because what a noob like you sees is still semi active content from a time when the game gave a ****. Pretty much I'm saying get to your point because constantly saying no go QQ is just making you seem like an annoying little pest.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I'd have to say 2 things that cause the lack of PvP on Lost City
Rank sales
&
Frostcovered City (No questers = no Pk'n at quest spots_
To much rank = very good geared people, combo that with Frostcovered city "Big Room" sellers, and you got a power leveler who doesn't quest.
Hotspots on Lost City (these include; Silver Pool, Archosaur Western outskirts) are crawling with very good geared players (Rank 9 armor+weapons), which kind of don't motivate any of the lower geared players to participate in PvP.
The only PvP you'll get now is to Player Kill anyone you see around your sorroundings.
Cause them to hop on their mains (usually a rank 8), and have some fun
Oh, and you get told that you have no life for pk'n them as well. b:cry0 -
Idk about LC, but HL has pretty much just sins and sin alts that pvp regularly. People get tired of fighting the same fish over again that never learn from their mistakes and always try the same sht over and over again.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

This edition of the game was released in July '06. It was imported here in '08. PW1 went live even earlier using the same game engine and the same graphics. The development age of this platform is nearly a decade old. It may actually be older.
