Hi everyone,
We are aware of this issue and a patch to address it is being worked on. Currently, there are plans to implement the fix as soon as we can. This means maintenance might be performed earlier than usual this week.
In the meantime, please refrain from using fixes from outside sources as they may be harmful to your computer or cause unexpected side effects.
I will provide more information as it becomes available.

Hey MonkeyShatter (or Genotypist),
Got a question for ya.
I know there is legal issues between Bejing and PWE but why can't PWE have a small dev group on staff for important issues like this? The turn-around time for gameplay issues is way too long in most cases. Even China has to see that have a small dev team here to fix issues ( then report back to China with their fixes) would go a long way to bridging the distrust between players and PWE. We see that PWE can change certain things with little to no turn-around time. (Duke Rose, +11/+12 Orbs, snowmen 2012...)
This is an honest question and I hope for a reply.... Thanks[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Well, I cannot speak for why PWCN seems particularly bad at communicating with PWI, but it seems like they are under a classic scenario high power distance leadership. Which is actually more common in China than say the USA. With a high power distance, employees are less encouraged to take their own initiative. They should get permission from the boss first, and taking the initiative can been as more like trying to usurp authority. However, with this comes the caveat that boss should be watching after the employees and making sure they are doing what they need to do. Which you can read more about here in the peace corp manual if you are into that kind of thing.
This wouldn't be a big issue, if the devs or the boss would communicate effectively and in a more timely manner with PWI. Considering the culture clash, i'm sure that it could probably be really frustrating for Frankie and the staff. Who get accused of withholding information out of incompetence when its far more likely he is ill informed. If was really THAT incompetent as people make him out to be, he'd likely be fired. Considering the appeared locusts of control based off my observations (Frankie not knowing the guild bases status for months, Frankie not realizing the arena was broken and that the PWIC was already started, etc) and how slow fixes seem to come from China, I'm guessing that this is likely what is going on.
Now of course, all i have is observations. Second hand evidence, like how long a content update took so they could apply the patch to SP when they fully admitted they had a patch. Or the guild bases. Or even now when I got to play test the arena, and Frankie seemed to really not know the arenas had been broken and seemed honestly surprised when we askeed about the pwic. I could be completely wrong here but considering the way its being managed, this is likely the case. Though I don't think they'll ever to admit to it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Hey SkogDyr,
Thank you for the question. Without getting too much into the technical details, it boils down to the need for a consistent build of all versions of Perfect World in order to provide the best experience to all Perfect World players around the world.
That is why it is important that our engineering and community teams are in constant communication, listening to player feedback when issues like these come up, and relaying that information so we can prioritize and address them in the most efficient way possible.0 -
There is a psy in plume crashing us meeting in tw can u help?0

Sadly the truth, and nothing to prevent people from doing it after PWI "fixes" it. I'm just not gonna post how. Just like this fix shouldn't have been made public0 -

So you're aware of the situation but only inform the affected psychics, those who actually submit a ticket regarding it? Isn't that a little irresponsible? It's kind of shameful that PW Brazil made an announcement about but and we didn't? Don't we have a larger user base with more access to to R8 than them?MonkeyShatter wrote:Thank you for the question. So.....PW Brazil already has a fix coming (or already applied) to their version but we're looking at "a few weeks" with compensation for downtime...really? If a version has a larger user base, shouldn't they receive equal, if not faster, update than a smaller(?) version?
Quite disappointed...weak response from GM = weak response....0 -

>_> If your 'engineering and community teams' actually listened to player feedback, this game would be a lot different, and a lot better.
Be that as it may, I have TW tonight, and if someone crash-glitches my client (not running the patch), then I will not be logging back in to finish TW.
I'm going to be holding my money back until some things get fixed. This issue is more damaging than rubberbanding.101 Sage Sin*/Archer
100 Demon BM*/Barb
96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
95 Demon Wiz/
94 Sage Veno
85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

Yes this issue, and several others that came with this last patch will take a bit longer. I do guarantee you that if I had 40 hours a week and was more familiar with the code, I would be a lot closer to rolling out new patch, and within a few months would have most of the aged game bugs resolved. I still can't believe it took them 3 years to fix the cleric buff. I had that resolved within a few hours on my private servers.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
