    Not my fault you're on a dead pvp server, ijs. Sanctuary is pretty well populated and alive.

    I discovered this is true. I've played on Lost City for years, char now lvl 103. I was thinking
    the game was kinda dead, nobody out & about in the world, etc.

    I decided to make a char on Sanctuary, and was amazed at the difference. There are
    players alll over the place, grinding. It looks so strange to see several players around
    Sirry Wine Village, for example, or any of the other small towns. It reminds me of when
    I first started on LC.

    Another thing I've noticed is there's not as much all-out racing to level up as fast as
    possible. It's more laid-back. Players don't seem to be consumed with getting the
    best gear like they are on LC. The whole atmosphere is definitely more "enjoy playing
    the game" rather than "gotta make it to the top!!"

    Starting on Sanctuary has renewed my interest in the game because it reminds me a lot
    of the "old" days on LC. I'd fogotten how pleasant it could be.

    IMO PWI is not a Pay-2-win game,, Im a lvl 61 seeker, and I've bested mopst mag classes 10-15 lvls over me, mele classes a maximum of 5 levels, and I've never spent I single dime on this game, granted I did one or 2 offers to get a new flyer, but how does that really help in combat?
    Leave no one behind

    At 1 level you not need squad, pots or weapon.

    At 5th level mobs hit you sometimes.

    At 18th level mobs start to attack you when you are in their aggro range.

    Until middle levels you can tank most of bosses even without refines and skills if you are heavy armor melee class (heavy armor has best physical defense bonuses for melee classes).

    But at high level instances (I even not say about TW or PvP) you need something more than wish to compete with other players or to be invited in proper squad.

    This game is really good because of the community.Other games don't have that.Well CSS does but that's a fps game.People quit these two games and play something else and come back because of the community.

    Your opinion is valid, and even fairly accurate in the context of your level range. However, it is possible to buy the highest possible gear in the game, which is what people refer to when they say pay2win. The cash shop only provides an unbalanced advantage at level 101+, unless you are crazy enough to +10 your level 80 gear or something.....
    See, I can hyper a nub up like the rest of yas!

    This made me laugh. Wait until you get to level 100 and people with gear non-cashshoppers can never even get close to start to attack you.

    This game has become a massive IM session for me. I just happen to be playing while I'm talking. PWI has ended up with quite a good player community compared to many other MMOs. I don't know why people assume that because they don't like a game, it doesn't make sense for anybody else to like it either.

    Well... It is true that:

    - Graphics may need to be changed a little (especially when it comes to old vs. new races);
    - Game need much balancing (classes, broken parts of the game);
    - There is a true need for the evil part of the community to be cleansed quite a little bit;
    - Cap may need to be raised (for the bored people out there, if Morai is not enough for them);
    - There may be a need to bring more to the bored PvPers (Arena);
    - PWI has too much of a gambling component around (packs);
    - There is still no efficient coin sink in this game (except maybe the pet skills in faction bases);
    Etc.

    I won't really want to talk about how some dailies, items or the lack of gold rate control messed things up by the way or that there always have been a lack of features like housing.
    What is done is done, I guess. *shrugs*

    That said, I still enjoy this game because I spent so much time in it and I don't really want to start any other MMORPG at this point. There truly are redeeming features in PWI, but enumerating the reasons would make this post really long.

    But still I wonder why you OP, came back to QQ on a game you stopped playing for quite a while, but also making indirect ads for other MMOs? b:surrender

    So out of sheer boredom I decided to log into PW website after almost 1 year. I quit playing PWI in late 2010. Ever since then, as far as MMORPGs go, I played -removed for mentioning competing games-

    Especially after -removed-, MMORPG gaming hasn't been the same to me. Those games were just too freaking great. -removed- is kind of meh, but it's free so why not...

    -removed- were pretty good back in their day, but this is 2012 and these 2 games seem to have been stuck in the past. Although they're good games, there's nothing spectacular about them to make them timeless classics like, say, -removed- or -removed-.

    Which brings me to PWI. It features outdated graphics, outdated gameplay, pay-2-win mechanics (it wasn't like that when I started playing in 2008), no camaraderie among players (again, not like that when I started).

    So, what on earth keeps you playing PWI? Is it the bling epic gear? My barb was level 92 when I quit, but I had no problem leaving it behind for greener pastures.

    I don't miss PWI at all, but it baffles me that people are still playing this when there are clearly better alternatives out there.

    I deleted PWI from my computer. Best decision I've ever made. c:

    *Looks at your sig*
    Seems you really liked being trapped in purgatory. That would not surprise me you either asked for it, or quit because you were much punished (I believe in the former b:surrender).

    Anyway, if you are happy about it, no prob' here.

    Hmm, I agree with some of the OP's post, but it's not entirely true. The game is old and outdated, but there's something to consider.

    Most people I know who are sick of the management of this game don't quit because they simply can't find a replacement. PW does have some uniqueness to it, and most of us agree that if a new, updated version of pw were to be released, we would likely leave this one for that one. For now though, there's nothing quite like this game.
