Someone suggested that we start a thread about this so here goes:
Maybe if we get enough people to state that they want this, PWI will implement it!
They need to reopen the PK arena in an area solely dedicated to PvP without loss of drops!

I whole b:heartly agree we should have an Area / Instance that's PK friendly
were you don't loose or drop.
start out simple at first make it a area set for us.19k Hp and rising my goal is 20k unbuffed (would love 25k )0 -

It was in discussion so many times and they NEVER implemented it. Discussion is active for years and nothing, but maybe you don't know, but they NEVER implemented anything from players suggestions.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

not so, if the thread is mostly positive and not chaotic i bet you the'll listen and at least

Most suggestions are smeared with QQ's Necro's and Trolls. not that one wont show up here

That isn't entirely true.
I wrote in about 2 year ago and told them we as ladies needed stockings/pantyhose with our fashion. They did eventually implement it, although not in the way I suggested. I thought it should be an entirely different item you can put on!
The player base complains long enough about something, they do it. Pk in secret passage removal etc.
I'm still awaiting them to implement my idea of a mount that can do it all. One that can Fly, run on land and swim in the water. I suggested one that goes from being a Jet, to being a Tank, to being a Submarine. Can also do this with animals I suppose. I think its a stellar idea and I think they could bank lots of money on it! But what do I know!?0 -
Problem is, they are not developers, so they can just recommend something to developers and in 99% dev. do nothing about it. If it is not glitch or exploit of course. PvP arena sounds very nice.
They should put 90% dmg reduction there to disable 1 hitting everything that moves; PvP would be based on skill and tactics rather than brute strenght of r9 weapons.
Great addition to arena would be farmable/tradeable PvP gear.
Rich people would spend cash to buy it from people who would farm it. That would make balance between cashshopping and free users in PvP.0 -
Well I don't really want a PK Arena because of the following reasons:
1) If it's the same kind of instance as SP, the PvP kills don't count on rankings. + You can't get red named b:sad
2) If the Pk arena would open, this will be the only place were Pk will take place (especially on PvE servers), wich means always the same place of Pking wich is kinda boring. The way it is now: PK @ West Gate, SP and Silver Pool.
3) Unless they make a very good, large and dynamic Arena, I don't mind, but I doubt that.

Right now you guys are doing pk in the same places on Pve servers. On HT its always in west arch or silverpool and there are a limited few who go out to City of Lost.
What you stated as number 1, is the entire reasons that people are wanting a pvp arena. Where they can pk without losing items.
If they did this right, it would be a lot of fun for people. Especially those just learning to Pk.0 -

Yeah like we need another playground for r9`s, stick to open map pvp.

I have to disagree about this. While it is true that any major changes or new additions based on player wants are scarce, it has been done. I sent in multiple angry tickets about being forced to run Cube for chrono, where I got continually PKed, despite being someone who plays PvE only and for a reason. It didn't take all that long before they removed room 38 from the chrono chain. We also had a rage thread on the forums and lots of tickets when they changed Secret Passage the first time and said it was on purpose, and eventually they reverted it. They do sometimes listen.
If enough people send in tickets being suitably angry about the lack of a PvP arena, I personally believe that eventually something might be done. And while I don't PvP at all, on any char, I am behind this idea. There should be a place that people can go have fun PKing without penalties, if even just to learn more about PvP.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You obvisouly don't PvP now and if you do you must suck at it, in PvP there is already a heavy damage reduction (75% I think I might be wrong)

I think that is because there is a world of difference on the Pvp servers than the Pve servers. I mean honestly my opinion is that the Pve player base only wants Free pvp because they are too chicken to go to a pvp server! hahhaa...but anything that keeps them busy and from griefing other players has got my vote!0 -

Yes, but you must admit that at least a large percentage of people who choose PVE is because they don't like Pvp. Therefore, MAKING us pk on any level for any reason negates the entire reasons that we picked a PVE server to start with.
However; I do think/believe that it would be useful in the PvP servers as well. Those who attain level 30 and are thrust into PvP for good would be able to use a place like a pvp arena to better learn how to beat certain classes, and manage their skill use without the loss of items and perhaps being able to leave a safe zone without feeling completely intimidated by others.0 -
um u all do know there is an arena already that u can get to from behind lost right? not sure if its working but u can least get into it though i will say it costs 105k to participate something like team pvp
its called deathmatch arena behind lost elder by lucid ppl
XD was only one who tried it also had a faction member in there though he bailed and didnt pay the 105k so again cant say it works 100%0 -

um u all do know there is an arena already that u can get to from behind lost right? not sure if its working but u can least get into it though i will say it costs 105k to participate something like team pvp
its called deathmatch arena behind lost elder by lucid ppl
XD was only one who tried it also had a faction member in there though he bailed and didnt pay the 105k so again cant say it works 100%
how long have u been playing this game? ofc we know there' already a pvp arena tht u can go to using arena teleporter. it just hasnt worked in......FOREVER0 -

I'm absolutely not a fan of PKing myself but you got my 100% support on this... Ppl who like to PK can bash each others heads in to their hearts content without penalty's and thus being able to fully test their gaming abilities while others don't have to be bothered by it...
