Weapon Linking Now Required For FCC Squads

Since when were level 100+ uber end game gears required on level 97 seekers so that they could just solo the mobs in the exp room?! Am I missing something here? My old usual weapon was a Dimension Breaker + 8, however I've been trying to sell it lately and I've been using an OHT sword I crafted instead. Yeah sure the attack isn't great, but the stats are ok and it makes a decent temporary weapon until I can raise the funds to upgrade to a higher level sword.
Yet with that weapon alone I've been running through FCC with squads and had no issues, been doing big pulls and dropping the mobs flat quick with vortex. A guy in WC was asking for levels 89-99 for an exp room in FCC, 350k a spot but free for seekers (For the need, I assume). I messaged him saying I was a level 97 seeker and I would like to go. He then asks if I'd pay. I messaged back saying if it was necessary I wouldn't mind paying. Then he asked me to link my weapon. I asked him what he meant to make sure, and he linked back a random 100+ rank daggers + 7.
I had my Dimension Breaker in my inventory at the time and figured I'd just link that back wonder why he even wanted me to. Then I get no reply and no invite. What happened there? I don't get it. I could take a freaking npc sword in there and drop those mobs if I didn't have my OHT one, just so long as I had Bloodpaint. So yeah, Seekers beware, you're now required to link your weapons for FCC and unless you're an 80+ with R9 you're not going to get a squad. -_-

Not to mention, it's not really your weapon that gets you through, as much as it depends on gear xD If I'd link my zerk-sword, would I have more chance to get in than if I link a green TT sword with recover on it? Because the zerk does more damage O_o;

I will never run with a squad asking for links to weapons, 9 out of 10 times they end up being the type of people I would not enjoy being around.0

I've run into issues like that before, especially when I'm on my mystic because for some reason FCC squads don't seem to like mages :P Although, with you being a seeker the denial is confusing; however, it sounds like that guy was an idiot because he offered free then asked you to pay and STILL declined you when you said you would. I think a case like that only occurs when you're dealing with stingy folk

Honestly I buy FCC at any level, but I only have 3 hours a night (at most, and because of trials and tw, many times I have less free time than that) to play once I get home and take care of some other things (the whole reason for introducing hypers in the first place was for people who can't play all day). Last thing I wanna do is end up in a fail WC squad that takes 2 h+ to finish fcc. I laugh at the people who pay for big room between the level range of 80-99! Seriously!!
I don't want to sound big headed but my seeker was solo'ing PV from 75+ with self buffs and BP, for a seeker to pay for big room at level 97 is just shameful! My barb even tanked FF from level 73 using the horseman belt (lvl req 5!)

At 97 though? If a squad, say, 90-99 is taking 2 hours+ to finish FF to big room then there is no hope for this game and Sanc server... Sorry Xainou but I think Sanc needs to be nuked as well as Raging Tides.0 -

Honestly I have had to ask this a few times on my journey to 100 on my Mystic, I found a barb after a while and he was 85ish with 4k HP, I asked if he could pull and he said yes, got the run started after he teleported in wearing GV fists and I slightly died a little inside when he started to pull the first hallway in human form. Yeah he got kicked.0 -

So you assume all Seeker now must link their weapon as a requirement to do FF?

I'm kind of glad in all honesty that it isn't like this on HT. I mean as far as power leveling high levels goes. Here, it's limited to 1-79 usually. Any higher than that and you had better make your own squad and run the instance properly.
I understand the whole "I don't have time to do this and that, blah blah blah", but honestly be glad hypers even exist at all. I knew and still know plenty of busy people who play a certain amount of time everyday who still managed to level (even before hypers and plvl existed). I guess it's about how you manage your time. Taking a squad of people to FF who know what they're doing goes decently fast. And if you're 100+, I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't even take an hour to do. In most cases half that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Hey. I would stop generalising "everyone".
"Some" people don't have time to run even 30min FC squads. "Some" people don't enjoy wasting what time they might have to run fail squads.
I know when I was working 40+ hour weeks and then had to run a household with it, I hardly had any time to play PWI at all. Full FC run? LOL. You better hope they can clear in 10 minutes if you want to do anything else in this game before you go to sleep. "Some" people can only play on weekends, and "some" of those people are in big name factions that have trails and TW and "some" of those people don't feel like spending their only two days off camping a game to level.
There are two groups of people that buy FC rooms.
People who don't feel like running a full run/too lazy
People who don't feel like wasting their already short time in a full run
Anyway, if it's SOOO FREAKING BAD, why is there such a big market for it? Are you guys just mad you can't profit from it? Or what? Cus last I checked, you guys weren't playing every freaking character there is on your server, so I guess that makes it none of your business what people do with their characters. Oh, wait, I forgot. PWI is like the Desperate Housewives MMO, gotta always have your nose in someone else's business.

Next time I'll have to specify, and say "most people", instead of everyone. If people want to sell frosts to people then more power to them. My point was that people are selling things (like frost), and "most people" believe that they have to "buy these instances", in order to do them when if they would of thought, there are most likely 6 other people that need the same thing that they need to do, but are too lazy to make up a squad. And its getting worse with all the "instant gratification that "most people" seem to want these days, hence the weapon linking.
TLDR: "most people" these days want things fast/handed to them, and I think that it's stupid.

Eh, I would of just embarrassed them in world chat. How the seller is so fail that they don't even know how to run fc without everyone in the squad using a credit card. Also would've mentioned how they were still trying to charge you. Why? Just to give them a taste of their own drama and stupidity. Hopefully this is idiot isn't indicative of the rest of the server, I've only had that problem a couple of times on my sin. Most of the time, people just want to know you're in the level range.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

O.o i do fc on occasion now days....most of the time i just do oracle books by myself..been in too many fail fc squads....
funny thing though,once i got past 80 on my cleric i started getting free fc spots cause of me buffs and the like.....
even though my psy is my active one now...i even get free fc spots on her on occasion,and she is only lvl 75....>.> maybe its cause the rapid fire AoE is good for handling those pesky fc heads
almost no one asks for weapon link on my server in wc...the only time that ever happens is for bh abbadon,or delta,but certainly not fc0 -
my naive believe is it happens on every server, maybe not everyday / everytime, OP just experienced it and shared it here on Forum.. I'm sure there are still loads of nice gamer on his/her server.

If you don't have time to do a fc run than you should not be playing pwi in the first place. and if you ask me yes people are lazy to buy heads to where my level 96 seeker has issues finding fcs at his level and instead I find people selling fc heads for my level range.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If you don't have time to FC but wanna level and you know your class I see no reason why you shouldn't buy heads... if you can't find FCs as a result all I can say is that is sucks to be you.
