afk indicator

Wouldn't it be nice if ppl in a guild roster would get an afk tag after being afk for so long? If someone is afk for half an hour they should get an afk tag in the guild roster. This would make it so much easier for guilds to know who is available, especially during scheduled events such as tw and trials.

Actually...I would love this - and in the friends list too.0

I don't know how it would be able to tell if we are away or not, but if that is ever figured out, ohmaigawd would that be a nice feature to have! b:dirty[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Better to have a simple way of setting your status to away on flist (it showing you as away to friends and guild)
Also, whenever you catshop, it should set your status to (on catshop)
Like on another game i play, whenever you go personal shop it says so in your status.
I don't want autoaway.... "oh come on answer me, i know youre there, stop ignoring me....."

If i want to be left alone noone needs to know if im idle or not

If you go afk, just set an autoreply saying "afk".

Hai I'm just whispering you to see if your afk or not. What's that, you forgot to set your afk message?
But this guy on the forums told me if you go afk just set an autoreply saying afk. So that must mean your ignoring me. Y U NO LOVE ME?!?
@OP, Yeh I would like to see a feature like this as well in the friend list/guild roster.0 -

Something like this would take just as much effort as setting an auto-reply, and can just be as easily forgotten.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This is a really really good idea.
So many times people wondering when no one answering in guild chat.
wonder if they would try to pm each person.
GO PWI make this happenb:victory0 -
You have auto reply if you want to be afk, besides the indicator would not allow to pretend to be afk b:surrender[SIGPIC]http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=14516063001&dateline=1364756666[/SIGPIC] Ty Silvy0

It would probaly work if it was based on last time chatting in faction chat. I would keep it out of friends list, sometimes you just don't want to talk to anyone and left alone.Marine - Marshall - Raging Tides - Retired

yea not a bad idea, saves time from waiting to see if u get a response from someone ...
and if it was also in the party window, like an icon over their class type image, if they are afk after like 5 mins.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

LOL! Love the idea though! +1 from this clericI don't see people begging for Assassins to come save them.
I don't see people spamming for BM or Archer buffs in Archosaur.
I don't see people asking to be revived by Barbs, Seekers, or Psychics.
You know what I do see?
'OMG I NEED A CLERIC!'
'Any clerics nearby that can buff me?'
'Can you rez me? I need a rez.'0 -
Don't most people just leave afk message permanently on?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

In my experience, most do anyway. I can't count how many times I have whispered someone that advertised a BH in world chat, only to get an afk auto-response.
This is a great idea though. Maybe said status could kick in after 5-10 min of the char not moving or something.
They should also have a last login date for people in the roster. Would make it so much easier to weed out inactive people.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Uhm... just leave an afk message. Just gotta remember setting it up, if you leave your afk message enabled all the time, that means, you should be playing something else or simply BL someone you don't want to be pmed from.
Is that simple.
Though I saw this thing in FFXIV, pretty usefull though you had to type /away which is not much of an automated thing... automated for being afk for 10 mins+ would be cool.WTB> -12% channeling BELT or RING pm me with link or mail me ingame HT server, ty.0 -

It would be better to show if you're AFK for more than 5 minutes. If your mouse moves over the client or if theres any keystrokes while the client is up, then the tag should vanish. It'll be nice to help get rid of people who say they are afk when all they are actually doing is watching everyone else do all the grunt work. b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

AFk (on follow) for almost an entire BH, and perfectly timed "back" just before boss fight. -.-0 -
A nice idea, but I'm sure it will be moved to the forgotten realms of the suggestion box soon b:chuckle
As for those that say it's too easy to forget to put your auto reply on to say AFK when you are going to be gone, well I always forget to turn it off when I come back b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The auto-reply we have right now, and most of us use, has nothing to do with what the OP's idea, so I don't know why some of you still suggested it. It only covers half of possible situations.
So I am setting auto-reply when I already know I will go afk (like going kittyshop for the night), but most of the times you will end up afk because something came up and you were not able to anticipate (like a friends pops at the door and you end up drinking a coffee or smth..or boss comes in your office LMAO). Besides, the auto-reply covers only personal matters, not "mass" ones too, like seeing who in my guild is active at one specific moment.
Having this implemented would be suuuuch a great add to the game. Honestly![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
My afk message is almost always on b:surrender I forget to turn it off all the time x'D
And an indicator if someone is afk would be nice :]
However I don't agree on the mouse-move thing. Sometimes I have to fix something on my computer quickly... per example sending an important email. /gets yelled at for not being afk for real while she actually is/
how about on pressing any skill/walk button ingame .-.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

They apparently already have some sort of timed-out feature in the client-
If you go away for a long time, the huge squares that show chat channels next to the text goes away- then when you come back, move the mouse or somthing, they come back.re0 -
i dunno if it was suggested but i think another good idea is that there could be a system that turns on your auto reply after going AFK for a certain time. it could probably be easier to program, rather than making loads of systems in friends lists/guild window.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

annoying idea. just put on auto msg. if they dont reply then they arent there or doesnt wanna talk to you.
guild roster already got so many things there. the online/offline is annoying they should just have the dots like before it is easier to view like before.0 -
On a certain space related MMO i play. If you are afk longer then 30 minutes you are kicked from server to help reduce lag. So it wouldn't be to hard to make the client realize you aren't active.Ahira is a spyb:cryb:cryb:cry0

I thought that my computer running out of memory for the game, or refreshing the memory and losing those lil pictures lol b:chuckle
And yea it seems you get disconnected after so long from being AFK. But it ALSO appears to do this when you're in a catshop! sometimes id leave my barb up in kitty shop to sell odds and ends worth too much to NPC but cant AH... and i'd get on in the morning to see i was disconnected.... :l

There is absolutely no relation between being AFK and getting disconnected. You just lose your internet connection over night (especially if you are on a wireless network).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
