This is a great idea though. Maybe said status could kick in after 5-10 min of the char not moving or something. Maybe 30 mins or else there could be some Warsong squads going afk if they aren't doing Pavillions.
They should also have a last login date for people in the roster. Would make it so much easier to weed out inactive people. *_Nuriko_ - Lost City wrote: »On a certain space related MMO i play. If you are afk longer then 30 minutes you are kicked from server to help reduce lag. So it wouldn't be to hard to make the client realize you aren't active.CHOBITS - Dreamweaver wrote: »Also, whenever you catshop, it should set your status to (on catshop) *
If i want to be left alone noone needs to know if im idle or not

I also agree with the last statement in the quote and the quote below it. Sometimes people just want to be left alone without having to explain why.
On the other hand....I don't really give a sh*t.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The devs would never boot anyone in-game for being AFK since this is a for-profit business with investors trading stock on the stock market. Their goal is to keep people online to show their investors a playerbase. That's why they created NPCs like the school teacher, lucidsilver and lucidgold ones that give items for being online for certain lengths of time.
As for the OP's idea I think it would be great but I would want it to be user controlled somehow and show up in the FL or the faction list. I would put a radio button on your char info near the HP/MP bars or the little safety lock icon that you can click for AFK. Also I would darken your char's picture and make the radio button blink while you are afk to remind us that we were set to AFK. Maybe even disable the skills while set to afk to prevent one from using it to deceive other players of your actual status.
Just a thought.I **** bigger than you...
Shut up and play the game.....Damn0
