Hacking and cracking are two completely different things.

PWI uses a discrete login meaning that only the user knows their account name which is different from their profile name or in-game or forum character name.

Without knowing your specific account name, there's really no way for a hacker to break into your account unless it's just blind luck. And with PW there are so many accounts created and abandoned that you'd need to have lottery winning luck to just randomly find someone's account that you'd actually like to steal from. You're more likely to win Scroll of Tome from a pack than randomly picking some username and figuring out the password, let alone finding a user name to an account worth stripping.

With that info, you're more likely to being struck by lighting a dozen times every day at the same time for a month than randomly hacking an account and finding something worthwhile.

Of course, someone you know could trick you into opening an attachment or executable so that they could put a keylogger on your system, your info could also be phished if you're so stupid that you'll give your account name to a site other than PWE. Or you could just be an idiot and use the same account and password for a PW related 3rd party web site.

However, if you're "****" the only realistic alternative is that you gave your info to someone in-game at some point in time, perhaps even forgetting about it altogether.

In ANY event, it would be because you did something stupid.

Some random person hacking your wi-fi won't be interested in this stupid game.

Seriously, think before pressing that "reply" button.

EDIT: P.S. I'm not including anything server-side. It's altogether possible that someone from the inside could steal accounts, or someone breach their security. I'm not discussing that because you have no control over that. So this is an unlikely but possible situation. If this is the case, whomever did **** would be facing criminal charges and in-game info here would be meaningless to a real cyber criminal, anyway. Why do the time if all you'll get is pixels in a dying MMO?
