I'm too lazy to go dig for the info, but I believe r9 will require general summer's tokens in order to recast.
I do know, however, that r8 gear requires mats from the new farming instance added to guild bases on the chinese version. If you thought NV casting had ridiculous mat requirements, go look over those needed for r8 recast.Some people risk to employ me

If I see another rank sale after hearing this:The devs' reasoning in this matter is that they are working on some new content involving gear, and they want to eliminate certain methods for obtaining Rank stuff, at least temporarily.

This is sad news. Though I haven't used DQ points for rep since they put it in the cs and people stopped selling it for 120k A BADGE like they used to. Remember that?
But I did use the chips, again b4 they hit cs, to get lunar mats for stuff. At one point I had hoped to get 2nd cast boots and hat. It was a long term goal that required a lot of grinding. I didn't think I'd ever be able to get a 5 piece set in any reasonable time but that seemed possible.
Honestly I don't have much of a reason to keep playing. I like caster nirvana, but what it the point of doing it when farming the mats gets you gear that it soon to be obsolete? I know, they are already there with r8 and r9, and the recasting (which requires a crapton of mats from not yet implemented GUILD BASE dungeons) will make pve/pvp even more of a joke.
On the plus side hopefully the price of raps/cannys will crash after no one needs/does nirvana again.
I got r8 on my psy during the very first sale, both because I had been in tt90/lunar gear forever and I thought that there was no way the sale would last/be repeated. I figured they would have had emergency maint like with the 11/12 orbs lol.
In theory I would love to get r8 for my mystic, but when all I really do anymore is bh (other than lunar/rb), caster nirvana 0-2 times a day on 2 toons (assuming I find people b4 I say F it and trade for subs/sell keys) and 1-2 Solo tt 2-3 runs on Mystic I don't see a reason to spend $60+ on it.
What would I need it for? Even uncharmed I very rarely ever die as is, if I do its usually due to me going out of my way to try. I just got sage res too. Sadly I have yet to find out just how much xp it saves me lol.
I have the RL$ but as long as this game acts like it has no idea how to run itself/I worry that servers will go down for good at any moment/they don't add actual end game content to get people to want to keep playing I'll save it for oh....anything else.
Buying a 5 day old pizza would be a wiser investment these days.
I used to like to help people, but no one needs it anymore. You might see 2 FB runs a day looking for help. I find my way all over the map and I hardly even see another player outside of a major city aside from outside tt/snowy village/nirvana.
I was roaming around lvling my mount when I decided to return to my birthplace amongst the Jaden Qingfu outside of lost. Not a single newbie popped in while my mount when up 4 lvls.
On the plus side no Qingfu were harmed
Now you can just plvl to r8 and skip everything other than one CC transaction to get to endgame lol.
Now that I only need craglord and verdant shell skillwise, I guess I'll just save up the ever increasing amount of coins for rep.

This isn't sad you guys. Have you forgotten that you can get rep from tokens as well as mysterious chip packages? Seriously was the whole pwi playerbase smacked their heads against the wall too many times? Farming DQ is probably the hardest and most annoying way to get badges and chips. You need 1000 DQ points per badge. 500 points per mysterious chip. Do the freaking math

Seems like PW China is now on Parental Control mode over PWI like a mom to a son or daughter lol. I guess after that whole pwic thing, China saw how f'ed up pwi was. Hopefully they fix up some other things. I would so love if China made PWE not able to sell packs, and rep. That would be cool but I think that the damage has been done over the past couple years.0

They didn't say anything about not having more rep sales. Rep badges and chips are being taken out of the DQ rewards, that's all.
I doubt too many people ever used the option to trade DQ points for Reputation anyway, it's much cheaper to buy from other players when on sale (I grind a good bit, and if I spent all the DQ points I've ever accumulated on Reputation it wouldn't have gotten me to rank 6, let alone 8).
People do use the chip option though, and the only other ways to get them are tied to the cash shop, go figure.
Bottom line is as long as power sells they're gonna sell power. Rank sales and orb sales and pack sales will continue to happen on a regular basis until people stop spending money on them (so as long as there is a game).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Well they could, but I doubt the heart attacks they would set off after they repo every pack item, remove everyone rank gear and -int and -chan adds, and close nirvana as they roll back to pre september 2009 (i.e. before the poor decisions were made) would be very appreciated.
Though if they refunded all the cash spent on packs they might actually help stimulate the RL economy b:chuckle
I would have included killing off every one of the 2 new races too in that bit of sarcastic hyperbole, but then I'd have no reason to play and I really like the new EG areas. TB areas not so much...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I never paid much attention to PWI's changes until recently when I've started leveling more. It concerns me that the devs are "changing the rules" as the game is played. I cash shop often and as such, pay for the game. Be careful devs, I'd hate for you to move against me and I have to play another MMO. And to your Chinese masters, be careful. This is America. We have different rules here (especially in regards to censorship). American MMOs change their games with much caution for fear of backlash. I don't see that caution with you PWI. Someone else will learn from your mistakes and build a superior MMO. In which case you can take your soft power and go back home.0

Also explains why the people we sent were totally owned by the players over there. I fully agree it would be nice to see the game taken back to the way it was intended. You know the version where player had to actually play the game, farm instances, make friends, an such.0 -

Wrong. 1 of the rewards for BH 100 #1 is 50 mysterious chips. Trust me its the most given thing other than 8 subs. It takes very little for them to add up fast! So the cs is NOT the only option.0 -

The concept of buying rep doesn't even make sense. Also don't forget its not just about the actual reputation its also about getting all of the individual items needed. Selling TW rewards through the boutique is just a huge sham and a joke. The people who run the PWI with the sales and whatnot owe us a better game play experience. Rules are rules. You gotta do what you gotta do Frankie. I understand we can't go against the developers wishes, but I wanted to thank you for warning us in advance rather than having it be a surprise later on.
On the bright side, there have been a ton of rep sales this year (I wouldn't count out more happening around thanksgiving or christmas). Dedicated farmers and merchants (or people who know how save up money, ie not me) can wait until one of those sales and buy rep badges in bulk, and still get their rank 8 without spending a dollar on the game :P.0 -

Noteriaty is bought eg Political advertising.
and does not always lead to posative Reputation
Buying Reputation and getting posative value each time seems unrealist to me.
Buying Noteriaty and having chance at either posative or negative rep makes more sence.

Btw rumors in forum say (news from CN server?), that r9 will cost half price in near future. Can anyone confirm this for CN server?
And LOL @Susamajii, he even dont remember that even BEFORE hyper release ppl didnt lvl in world. Cz IT IS IMPOSSIBLE! Imagine that hundreds of ppl want to lvl up with spiders in their 90s--> ROFL. They ofc lvld in frost these days. With stupid esos. And with full GV. It was a charm **** stuff at this time.. There were many ppl who wasted 1-2k us dollars just for lvling fast. HH99 was the old r9 - and not less expensive and only for big CSer.0 -
