And you're wrong too. It's not that PWE caved in because people asked. It's because it was implemented in Nirvana forges and all of a sudden we were being penalized because we couldn't use a feature that was implemented because we didn't have the stones.

Even that is almost too generous. The refining transfer feature was implemented for regular equipment long before it was for Nirvana, and it never bothered PWI that we couldn't use it.

The key point with Nirvana was that they advertised refine transfers for Nirvana gear in the prerelease marketing material without realizing it would require Chienkun Stones. That put them in a tough spot where their options were going back on their word / admitting they didn't know WTF they were talking about or giving in on the stones.

I question whether they would actually lose money on Dragon Orbs by making Chienkun Stones cheaper. I would argue that people might buy more Dragon Orbs, because refining lower tier weapons wouldn't be a dead end. Also, fewer people might quit out of exasperation after realizing that "good" gear is out of their price range.

Doesn't work like that. You can transfer refine from a g10 weapon/gear to a g9 weapon/gear but not vice versa. Transfer refine only works going from a high lvl gear to a low lvl gear.

I haven't tried it, but the PW Boutique Agent's help text doesn't say that.
Sources's Refining Lv. must be higher than Target's

That's refining level (+1, +2, +3 ...), not equipment tier. It means you can't transfer +3 from a Wheel of Fate mold to a +10 HH99 weapon (which would be stupid and pointless anyway).

You're right. I read it wrong.

It's fine as it is. Got to think and plan ahead a little when you refine above +5.

Also, the outcome of a poll like this (a "make X cheaper?" question) is rather easy to foresee. I wonder how many ppl that don't even have a +10 refine on anything, voted to make it cheaper...

The entire idea most of you don't understand is we were never (PWI as a whole) even supposed to have these on this server. They were requested so much that the PWE team gave in and asked China to give them to us. The fact that we even have them is a courtesy of the PWE team, and complaining about the price of them doesn't come across as grateful. Look at it this way... were things as intended, you would have to refine from squat on that weapon, with chances to fail and all (unless you purchase the Dragon Orbs necessary).

That's the way I choose to look at it, flame me about it if you will.

They were promised with the RT expansion but PWE failed to follow through. Nirvana gear was billed as an upgrade to existing gear where you keep your refines. Then they release orb sales and packs encouraging people to refine and socket their tt99. Then they release nirvana with not chienkun. This is what pissed everyone off.

They ended up releasing it much later.

Well, with the most recent Dragon Orb sale, the cost of buying Dragon Orbs and refining to +10 is at 78.25, whereas the cost of on-sale Chienkuns, as per the most recent sale, would put the transfer at Quenching to 80.1 Gold.

For +11, the refining would cost 150.225 Gold whereas the Quench Chienkuns would be 148.5 Gold.
For +12, the refining would cost 275.95 Gold whereas the Quench Chienkuns would be 270 Gold.

So, for +10, it's cheaper to just refine from the start. For +11 and +12, you're better off using the Chienkuns.

Obviously, if you happen to have Lunar or TT99 or TT100 that you plan to turn into G15 Nirvana, it's cheaper to just refine at the G15 stage.

Well, since Chienkuns aren't big sellers and they're only used on Nirvana gear, whereas Dragon Orbs are used on everything, I'd say it's not exactly likely that they'll lower the on-sale price of Chienkuns to compensate.

Why not Cut Chienkuns in half then? It's not really that much cheaper, or more expensive than on sale D.Orbs, but people might seem more inclined to buy them and D.orbs then. I mean PWI can 100% control their boutique prices.

Would go from people not buying them to people buying them. Some sales >>>>>> No sales, even if you make less per item on them.

guaranteed chienkun sale after r8 recast has been out long enough for people to have already recasted and re-refined another r8 weapon.

sale will make transferring +10 1/2 the price of refining +10
