Need Help with Levelling!

Hello all,
Can someone post a levelling guide (preferably for a blade master) or post the link to one please? I doubt all the quests will get me anywhere near level 100... Will it?
All I want is an explanation if quests are enough for level 100+ or a levelling guide to help me level up quicker. I have heard of the BH, which apparently gets newbies to high levels? What is the BH, is it good for levelling up fast and can a level 8 blademaster join it?
Thanks for all the help given,
~Mal
Edit: BH not BS lol...

put $$ on game pay someone to power lvl u to 85 then ff the rest with hyper x12 exp and u be lvl100 in a week lol b:chuckle0

Quests alone will never get you to 100. And for that powerleveling thing, I would not suggest that to someone new to the game cause later on you'll just be branded as the powerleveling noob who can't play his class. If you're only level 8, keep doing quests and grinding (quests should be enough to level you at that level). Enjoy the game and don't just think about level 100+, it's nothing special.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

these days, between the regular quests, the earthguard ones, and the tideborn ones, if you actually want to do ALL the quests you'll have to dump some XP into genies so you won't outlevel some of them from doing other ones. but that's early on. at level 8, don't bother with anything other than your quests --- they'll help you learn the game mechanics, and will give you more than enough XP to reach the next level for a good while yet.
somewhere between level 40 and 60 (depending, in part, on how much XP you dump and whether you have any 2x XP events during your leveling) you'll find yourself without quests and some percentage of XP still to go. then you start doing daily quests; bounty hunter, divine quests, and/or crazy stone. you'll have little trouble getting to, oh, level 70-something this way. if you get impatient, an oracle or two can pad out your XP gains during these lower levels --- i'd recommend only doing that if you're out of quests including dailies and otherwise bored, but it's an option.
in the early 7x levels, two or three complete stacked BH's equal a level --- give or take some. if i had all day to grind and didn't mind outleveling my veno pets, i could probably gain a level in two or three days of bounty hunting plus other quests. people who really want to level fast start paying higher-level people to run them through frost around this level range, and start using hyper stones.
i have no idea what "BS" refers to. you probably meant "BH".[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -
Most people pay their way to get to 100 and then don't have a clue how to play the class. If you don't have playing experience of the game or don't want to pay money then the best thing to do it Quests. Pick up, complete and turn in as many quests as you can. You get dailies to do like CS (turning in stones), WQ which is world quest where you have to visit places on the world map, BH which is Bounty Hunter and FF which is Forgotton Frostland.
All these are level dependent but if you do them all you won't run out quest until you are pretty high level and would have to spend a lot of time each day completing them.
If you do it this way you will make money, make spirit, learn skills but more importantly learn how to play your class and how they work in a squad which is even more important.
Don't get bogged down with APS (attacks per second) as it will cost a lot of coins and/or coin.
Oh and don't foget to have fun. Too many people take this game far to seriously.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Lag? What lag?0 -
play your class and learn what your skills do... i swear if i see another BM that i have to explain what thier skills do and they are lvl 95+ im gonna freak out... btw i have never played BM but have learned just from watching... b:bye

Oops! Sorry, I meant BH, which I am now assuming means something like Bounty Hunter?
Anyway, is BH a good way to level up?
Can anyone quickly explain what BH is, when I can do it, and how helpful it can be in levelling (e.g. Level 100+ in a few months, which normally takes about a year).0 -
The general idea is:
Lv1-40: Do quests.
Lv40-60: Continue to do quests, but the Bounty Hunter system is now available to help.
Lv60-80: Fewer quests to do. You will be more dependent on BH. At 70, you can start doing World Quest.
Lv80+: Continue doing BH and WQ, and add Frostcovered City (FF) to your agenda around this time (but there's a glitch in it nowadays which people abuse, so be careful of that). Hyper stones will help you make the most of your FF runs if you choose to use them.
Other ways to level include:
Crazy Stone - A daily quest which asks you to find a few shards (natch, spend a little money, but it's not too much) for some extra exp. Begins at lv31.
Oracles - quest books that tell you to kill a specific target (but this practice is very expensive and should only be used to supplement your other activities, at most)
Marriage Quests - These give a good amount of exp as a daily quest, but you can only do them if you're married in-game.
Tideborn Chain - This begins at Lv40 and is a story-based quest chain involving the Tideborn race (but you don't have to be a tideborn class to do it). It gives a large amount of exp in many small installments, making it ideal to work on if you need a quick "boost" to the next lvl. I would recommend saving this for the 60s and 70s, as they are the hardest sector of the game to level through before you can start doing FF runs.
Cube of Fate - a chance-based instance which gives you a large chunk of exp if you manage to complete it. I would recommend it only after 90+ as many of the challenges are harder for lower-leveled players and the instance is partially forced-PK.
When people talk about "powerleveling," they are referring to some peoples' tendency to abuse the FF instance in certain ways. This is considered a non-legitimate form of leveling by many. In general, don't worry about FF until you are at least 75 (I would recommend 80-85 depending on your class).
EDIT: To answer your question about BH... in brief, BH is a system where you pick up a new quest each day to kill a boss monster with a squad. You then receive a large chunk of exp and a second, smaller, BH quest. Completing the second one gives you a third BH quest (with a smaller chunk of exp too). It is advisable to "stack" BH quests by leaving the second and third targets in your quest log overnight, so that you can get three bosses in one go the next day. This simplifies the process a lot.
For more in-depth info on stacking and BH in general, I'd suggest looking at the PWI wiki - it has a fairly good article on BH.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

OP, this isnt PS3. You dont have to finish up the game and return the disc in fridays mail. Just play the game and youll level. If you play seriously youll level faster.0
-
You don't have to do all your quests. Some quest rewards are not worth it. However, I would strongly recommend doing quests that give rep or some decent coin. Tideborn quest definitely for instance. As for BH, just do them everyday. I remember I stayed level 59 and at level 79, farming spirit and dumping all the exp gained into my genie. Once my genie was up to my level, then I continued leveling. It's a good time to just chill out and finish up some leftover quests and farm for things. How I got my money steadily during my low level days.
Everybody already spoke of many options out there. Once you get to 80 though, hypers in FC is the way to go.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

EXACTLY the kind of thing I was looking for! Thanks for this awesome answer! This really helped! So is FF (or FC?) a city which gives a load of quests? And what is the glitch that people aree abusing (don't worry, I won't use this to help me powerlevel in anyway)? Just wanted to know... Thanks everyone for the responses so far!0 -
FF/FC is called forgotten frostlands or frostcovered city and its an instance that you run in a squad that has alot of mobs with 8-10 bosses to kill for a huge amount of exp and spirit. most will say that you can start doing FF least at lvl 75 but the recommended lvl is 80-85. The bosses in there are hard mostly but they can go pretty quickly with the right classes and ppl if its done right. It is a fun instance to do once in a while in my opinion but you can do it as often or as little as you want to.0

Don't think you're allowed to even talk about what the actual glitch is here. It's bannable.
But as for FC, above poster answered that. Make sure you bring hypers too, you level up so fast![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Take ur time.. Take most suggestions posted here. This isn't a race to be high level, it's a gamse to have fun. I'm lvl 101 on this char and went to FC maybe max 6 times, 3 of witch I didn't use hyper exp stones. Quests and all means mentionned will bring you to 70 in a relativlu short time. Then, you still get some quests each levels, just less. And they also pay less (% of exp wise versus what u need to level).
My favorite way to level stays cube of fate. I woudn't really suggest running through it before lvl 70 (maybe a bit less if u are charmed and well geared) but comparing to any other ways to gain exp it is pretty nice and if lucky , can be done in less then 1/2 hour.
If I recall right. At level 70+ gives 330 000 exp per successful run, 440 000 from 80 to 90, then it's a full 1 000 000 exp per run.
I took me 1 year 1/2 to level this char and 3 others over lvl 80, but consider i'm director of my faction so I helped a lot with days not even doing a single % of exp. And really I didn't care, I was helping. To me, game ain't a race like I said..enjoy it...Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle0 -

Awesome! The cube of fate sounds cool!
One last question: How much % is 400,000 for a level70-80?
Just want to know how hard it is to level up in the higher levels... I don't wanna be a noob at the high levels...0 -

this page details how much XP you need to level, at each stage. (scroll down to "experience point table".) yes, it really does go crazily ballistic in the higher levels.
that's taking into account that the XP counter resets to zero every time you level. that table's "current exp" column is the running total of XP you'll need to gain through leveling up from level 1, which is a number that's shown nowhere in-game that i know of. so for example me, at level 73, will need to gain another 1,640,333 XP's to hit level 74; 400k XP is about 25% for me.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -

Bounty Hunter runs are super from level 60-75ish.
At around 75 and above, it gets harder and harder to find squads as people are getting siphoned off to FC and other things.
FC- You pretty much have to be in with some established end-gamers to even get into this place. Either that or you get accepted into one of the top end factions. If your joe average, there is simply no way to get into this place with a squad.
Twilight Temple - No good for leveling, its mainly a dungeon for farming mats to create decent gear.
World Quest - you have got to be kidding. It requires crossing the entire map a large number of times. It must take hours to complete, traveling at standard PW flying or mount rates is total boredom. The route seems to be designed to prevent efficient use of teleporting and requires alot of cross the whole map kinds of moves.
The Goshiki Quest gives you a pretty good infusion of coin and celestones plus a decent charm at the end. There are several bosses that you will either need help with or, you will have to wait till you level up enough to beat them.Just some guy0 -

i tried the headbang-my-keyboard method once. it cancelled my flyer, attempted to summon my eldergoth in mid-air, opened three different pointless windows, and dropped me into the middle of burning heart unbuffed. i gained no XP and am still not level 100. :-P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -

Tried that too, but in a different manner.. Completly dozed off at screen flying from arch to 1k. I think I woke like 30 mins later..And was just landed on some structure in 1k..Didn't check exp, but pretty sure I gained nothing from ir except a small neck ache..0 -

World Quest is actually very good. One may think it takes way too long and is a waste of time. Typically, they do take 1.5 hours. However, what if you're doing something else on the computer or are busy with chores or something? You can just pop PWI open, auto path your way to a free chunk of exp. Auto pathing is one of the best features PWI has.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

So it doesn't take much more than about 1-2 days for each level after 70... Huh... That's good!
I was scared it'll take like 1 week for each level...
Thanks for everything guys! This really got my hope up for this game! Everyone kept talking about how it's taken them a year or two to get to level 70+ in-game... And I was really worried... So worried, that I was thinking about leaving this game.

P.S. I know I said the previous question will be the last, but, do hyper potions work on the exp received form the cube of fate?0 -

it really depends on how fast you want to level. it's taken me far more than a year to get to level 73, but that's because i'm in no hurry --- and partly because i've spent time leveling nine other characters, three of which i consider "serious" alts (around level 50 and up).
if i'd focused on this one main alone, and went for leveling speed not caring about doing all the quests or outleveling my veno pets, i could easily have been of a much higher level by now. people have reached level 100 in less time than it took me to get to 70. but i just don't want to play that way, so i take my time.
sorry, but i don't know what hypers would do to cube of fate XP. i'm assuming nothing, because as i understand it, hypers only increase XP gained from killing mobs, not XP gained from quests and such. but i've never actually used a hyper, so i can't be sure.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -

Ok. One FINAL question, I promise, How many quests are unlocked at level 70 upwards and how much exp do you get from each one of them?
Thanks everyone who posted again! This question is the last thing on my mind. b:pleased

At 70+ your quests start drying out, and most importantly you get a lower and lower % of your needed exp from them. That's when you start relying more heavily on dailies like BH, and later FC/Cube. I don't think I've gotten more then 10% of a level from questing since 70. And it gets worse the higher you get0
