Tried a Tideborn in the same style without tracing. Some facial mistakes, don't like her cheekbone, sticks out way too much. Neck and chest need to be larger in proportion to her head, other than that I am pleased with how it turned out and how I was more or less able to replicate the same style without tracing this time and simply using only one visual reference which was for the hair.

Tideborn with base colours so colourists get a sense of what is what. You're free to use whatever colours you wish, this is just an example to make life easier for you. I know my lines can be confusing.

Also updated the Reikara veno. Lines are now pure black.

I"ll be happy to give both line arts a shot! I'm actually thinking of re coloring a few things I've done here.

Er.. I mean. I would love it if your ended up colouring either. I wanted to request a sort of trade too. If you would be happy to colour Reikara to her true character colours, I'll do lines for any character of your choice, clothing or armour or whatever, after my little competition is over on the forum though of course.

Wow Hazumi, good job on the links and lines. I love the hair texture although for some reason I can't but think of the blue alien jedi girls from Star Wars when I see it. I blame the hairstyle. :P

I had a look through those links and it's awesome to see the leaps and bounds in skill level the artists have made. So long as you keep it up, it'll keep occurring. I've found that the faster you recognize your mistakes is a good indication you're making good progress. Those links made me think we need some kind of thread where people will volunteer good close up and distant shots of their characters for the artists here to pick from. I know I'd personally get a lot out of a thread like that but I'm not sure if artists would and if people would be willing to do offer up screenshots for that purpose.

What do you guys think?

[Off-topic P.S.: I am running a small competition in this forum and the prize is a line art work of your character in it's armour, rest of the specifics (pose, expression, extras) are up to the winner. To enter you just need to upload screenshots that meet the requirements.]

I took this picture and drew it from the resources. :P Since Hazumi was nice enough to model I figured I'd be nice and post the picture here. I didn't draw the little skull it just a photobucket sticker I thought looked cool. And I turned to picture to gray-scale because it came out this weird yellow color due to the fact my scanner is actually an app on my android phone using its camera and not an actual scanner. Other than that, it was just hand drawn in pencil. :P

So Kyna convinced me to go work on that old Venomafia comic from eons ago. There's no 100% guarantee it'll get finished but I guess it is my current project and I'm having to start from scratch again, plot, dialogue, panels and all sigh.

Here's just a concept for Vixe's character, if she's even still around anymore. This may be chapter art or a panel.
