    This name also did not get the ***s but should have KillerPuzzy. So lets be fair if you want names that did get the block also need to list ones that didn't but need to be removed.

    "KillerPuzzy" is a context thing. Is it a barb? Or is it a female character? Barb, while still questionable in the intention, is still a rather accurate name, given the fact that it is, in fact, a cat. Whereas a female character can get taken as a female reproduction reference. This isn't a list of who isn't getting screwed due to the censor. It's about who DID. Yes, it was a censor avoidance related thing, but personally, unless the character isn't of the hairy tanklike persuasion, it isn't as bad as you're making it to sound. Topic. Stay on it. :)

    Tolliver is right, please keep it to names that are not against the ToS to begin with. If the name got accidentally censored i.e. the name doesn't mean anything profane or against the ToS, but part of it was censored, those are the people we need to know about.

    It simply amazes me the arguments the pervs come up with to legitimize their vulgarity as you just did. A list was posted of names that should not have been blocked that was full of ones that should have been making this very on topic.

    How is that a arguement from a perv to legitimize vulgarity? Its an entirely accurate point. Another word for a cat is pussycat. It has NOTHING to do with vulgarity. If the person is a barb, aka a cat, it is a legitimate name. Even if it was a cat veno I would say it works. If the person MEANT it to be a vulgarity, then thats different. But not all bad words are bad in every context.

    Those names should be altered or changed on their own merit. Blanket blocking of the word weed (Which you ****ing highlighted??) for example is just stupid. The infamous Akumi example is another one, and as for pu.ssy (REALLY? I HAD TO DODGE THAT?), only people who have minds born in the gutter will instantly think of a ****** (Female reproductive area) and not a cat.

    Seriously though.... while I agree that some of those names are not erm, the classiest, the fact remains that the game *allowed* those people to use those particular names at the time. So unless they are going to offer the option of a name-change to those people because they have changed their minds on what is ok and what isn't, then it is entirely unfair.

    Of course I feel more bad for the people that got accidentally censored, but I'm just saying, they have to fix it all one way or another.

    ^This. Game allowed them to pick the name, and perhaps they were allowed to to even spend a lot of real money in game and have taken their characters to even endgame. And then after months or even years of "Thank you for paying our daily bread", they are going to lose all that because NOW they notice their names are offensive... Should had made it so they couldn't even pick the names in the first place then.

    Although some people would had still figured out how to avoid that by switching some letters or the order on them...

    There is at least 4 people in my faction with this issue. And a bunch of them have issues with alts as well.

    Do we really have to post a ticket? I figured something a game breaking as this to even one player is enough for them to fix it NOW, so I never bothered to send a ticket in for my char cause I'm kinda enjoying the peace of no PM's ATM :D.

    But seriously even one of the Vana bosses is censored he tries to shout Blah blah defeated me and gets cencored for eat me???

    You can barely have a conversation in game without stars poping up all over the place with just normal everyday words.

    I have used the name bigredneck for my fighter's name in 3 different MMO's over 5 years and never had a problem with redneck being a racial slur. I did not randomly come up with it for this game only. If a conflict starts in RL, I would want a bigredneck to watch my back. I really never thought it would become such a problem. If I have to change my name to a "legal" variation, I will. I would rather not simply because it has been my name since my first MMO. I just want to run my BM like I was able to before this censor patch. I agree with some people that some of the names I've seen should stay like ******* that.

    I sent in a ticket the day it started, but didn't put in a screen shot. bigredneck looks like big*******. If I have time after work I will add a screen shot to my ticket.

    Meanwhile, there are people in game with names like "wetpu$$y" and worse with nothing done about it. World chat can be virtually embarrassing its so explicit sometimes, and there are people on these very forums with stuff like "i'll zerk inside you" in their siggy. If a gm would ever actually log into the servers even just once a month, alot of stuff would be better.

    But no. They look for a software solution instead of just plain old common sense and the littlest of effort.

    Hey red, remember with dungeonrunners, the gms would actually log in and wc with people and answer questions and stuff? I know PWI is famous for saying that they will never abandon their "flagship" game, but it looks to me like they already have.
