It has occurred to me, and I'm sure to quite a few have noticed this through reading there post, that this community just entirely turns every single post into a negative and down-spiraling end. My only question is, does anyone actually try to read, comprehend, and THINK before replying? I see quite a few posts pointing out moot reasons for their "arguments", accusations flying every way but the right way, and just overall...emo-ness(?) (lol). I must say, if mostly everyone see the picture of what a person maybe trying to say from only one side, you need to broaden your perspective a bit.
Anyways, feel free to express your opinions. I'm interested in seeing who actually read the post instead of just upping post count with a block of nonsense.

The anonymity of the internet allows people to be jerks and douchebags. Some do this just because. If you have no idea what you talking about, be obnoxious or yell enough and you might fool some people into thinking your ideas/posts mean something.

In my opinion, the playerbase (at least the portion that post on the forums) are dissatisfied with the way the game is being run and they are frustrated that their cries seem to go unheard. Eventually, I think this dissatisfaction and frustration turns them into trolls, trying to spread the same dissatisfaction and frustration they feel to others.

It's also the mere fact that everyone believes so strongly that their opinion is correct (sometimes creating a false illusion) that they ignore the fact that everything is subjective. The thing is, this is a part of the human condition. You either blindly accept that what you're told/believe is the only truth or you are smart enough to realize that the world is not black and white, but shades of gray. Lol of course I know how hard it is. And I know people tend not to. The point of the post was to perhaps open the eyes of a few. Whether they will or not is beyond my control, nor would I dare attempt to control such things. We receive and process information even if we don't want to, so perhaps later down the line, someone will remember this whether it be irl or in game. Agree with a couple people here. People arent happy about this company, and sadly PWI has no say in what goes on, besides the sales. The game is run by china and the devs are there, its been said before that the devs now, do not know how this game was made or w/e and they CANT fix the problems. PWI WAS supposed to be watching the econemy in game like over a year ago and WAS supposed to try and fix it, know what they did? kept having pack sales for 2 years + and introducing rank sales. GG

edit : I forgot about frost, they added that so ppl can lvl up from 1-100 in no time, wtf is the point in that??? Dont you want the playerbase to actually play the game? and enjoy the content? PWI is just ****0 -

Actually I was raised on common (rare these days?) sense and rationizing and logic, but then again I believe anything my dad tells me. although 99.9% of things he says comes true. I try my best to use that on the forums.
Anyway, I agree with you there. (Although we all know I can start a flamewar like once in a bluemoon.) Most of the time, what happens is I don't word something properly and people just literally jump down my throat yelling at me for it, then I gotta go around and tell them what I really meant but they are still stuck on the first thing I said. Then they say that I'm a liar because I tell them my dyslexia prevents me from forming sentences properly, since I can't think of words most of the time. (takes me like 20 minutes to make a post, lol. I had to actually give up writing because it's so severe now.) Another reason why it happens to me is because I only post from one prespective most of the time. Group A without thinking about group B. Anyway, I usually stay out of the general discussion now and basically focus on screenshots/fanatics.
But sometimes I sit back and really think of how bad this community is. Some people are QQing about the bad changes in the game, but there's few people that are on the forums 24/7 that actually play the game anymore, so people need to stop saying that. There are still people that watch the sales and stuff and are angry with the company, but we all know by now it's falling on deaf ears, and I kinda wish they would shut up already. A lot of people keep saying the same thing, "cleric magic shell, rubberbanding and i can name a lot more but I don't feel like it!" prolly cuz you can't. There's not that many bugs in this game that you could write an endless list. And what do you expect from a game? NO bugs ever? I hate to tell you, but there's always gonna be a bug in every game you get. Just an example, in Harvest Moon Magical Melody, you can't befriend the sparrow because it will come to your doorstep and make your house a bottomless pit and you have to restart the game all over, and yet, when the sparrow sees you, its heart level goes up and it WILL befriend you sooner or later. But will Nasumi ever fix that? No. You just gotta take it with a grain of salt if you really want to play the game. But I digress.

Lust it is the internet syndrome, people see a topic that has interest, be it positive or negative, and they jump in to contribute because their opinions are just so unique and important. We all do it time to time, even without putting things in perspective or making sure we actually understand the matter at hand before opening our mouths, tis in our nature :U0

It's not just this either. I agree on everything you stated, however PWI has no in-game GM support, automated tickets w/ no help, very little support on the forums, and Live Chat is nearly always down during the times it states it's supposed to be available.
PWI is controlled by PWE, which in return is controlled by Wanmei (PW-CN's current company). PWE does the marketing here (basically anything they want, including the packs and sales), and also has control over support. They sadly, fail in both departments.0 -
The incessant whining has little to do with dissatisfaction as there are two main components to dissatisfaction -- leaving, and well, leaving. No doubt Perfect World is a highly flawed product but people tend to leave bad games, i.e. not coming back, finding another game, wasting time elsewhere.
Since I first browsed the forums before starting to play this game (late spring/early summer 2009) there was mostly whining threads. Today, mostly whining threads. What a surprise. When it comes to the F2P industry, the publishers that allow open discussion and complaints, it's a general rule that there's going to be more complaints than compliments. This is how it's been for as long as I've played games that are free, even other F2P games kept afoot by players running their own servers, most visibly complaining.
There's long been a proverb amongst customer service and marketing experts, which is, paraphrased, "nine out of ten customers tend to be satisfied, while you hear ten times the complaints by the one dissatisfied customer". Perfect World's forums, as well as the P2P industry in general, would be a posterchild definition of that. The people satisfied with the game are playing, not posting.
What's funny is how some think all these complaints symbolize a bad game, whilst no one playing is what really symbolizes a bad game. There's no worse game than a dead one. Over a year ago was the "game is dead" fad, yet the game is still going, and one can visibly see a **** load of people still playing. Personally I dislike where the game has gone, and I'm waiting for one that can hold my attention just as well, as this one to me has reached the point of "run it's course", however, any smart person knows to readily dismiss the swirling negativity, and more than that, those being negative don't quite understand that they are giving PW more publicity by persistently whining and staying, particularly those who claim to have quit so long ago, which works in the reverse of their intentions, making people more interested in the game. "Hey, they complain so much yet they stay, there might be more than meets the eye". Just pointing out the logic flaw by some here.0 -

The trouble with this particular board is the lack of a report function and moderation. Members are free to be as idiotic as possible. Take the first two responses for example. They know they're scum, but they'll quickly blame it on you if you mention it to them.
Was the OP QQing? No. Does the OP need to go play an imaginary MMO called "Carebears Online"? Well it's impossible, so no. They subconsciously know OP is right, but they're just circlejerking because they like to hear themselves talk. Fortunately, some of us stay around to have fun trolling them.

I feel the same way you feel and I completely agree with you.
Since I started playing this game the forums were more helpful and they actually give good advice to newbie players, and actually give "decent" discussions and etc.. yea there was QQ and negative comment and trolls back then but it wasn't as nearly as bad as now. Now every time someone poses a thread: Like a "Is this game good for me?" for example most of the reply's "the game is dead and ruled by fish..." or "If you like a company that doesn't care about you then sure!" or "Unless you CS and have 5aps you won't enjoy it...." or some other useless negative/troll comment that has no value to the thread at all. These are some reasons why I don't like this game (and no this is not a QQ) its not just the game management, its how negative this game has gotten (mainly because of the poor game management) and its not getting any better...unless PWI fixes some major issues in this game this negativity/QQtrolling will never go away... and people will never stop acting dumb.. *sigh* ijs.....[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

First thing, I never said I had problems with anyone ingame nor on the forums and I never had any problems with anyone.... (yet) so I never needed to put anyone on my blacklist. b:chuckle
