I've always tried to hold a view of be nice/polite to everyone until they do something to annoy me. Unfortunately it seems to be rare enough that my being polite is misunderstood to be me flirting b:scared
Yea the community seems to be fairly negative, but I think that alot of it is due to anonymity and the impression that they can do as they like. Also this leads to 1-upmanship as each troll tries to outdo the next.

Yeah, look at this thread and see WTF happened to it after about Post #29 and #32..total derail.

The only threads that don't really get derailed are threads that ask legitimate questions ...and these dissapear after about 3 posts (this thread is an exception i guess)\

I like the in-game community though even if it seems a bit inactive.
If you think the in-game community of PWI is bad then you haven't played many games out there.

spose you're right. and no I haven't xD Wasn't really a gamer for a long time tbh. This was my second MMO but I tend to adapt to most situations/environments rather quickly due to my militaristic early childhood.

Forums of all games are full of ****, it's the cesspool of the community. in my 12 years of playing MMOs none of them been any diferent.

Yes i noticed the community was generally negative.

Chalk it up partially to adolescents playing a Free to play game which probably brings in the dregs of society.

2nd thing is yes the people who run the game made some bad choices.

But overall i see a really negative community on the forums and in game.

All you can hope for is a smaller community (faction) that is more positive.

the first year of pwi the community was the best...after that it went down hill..now it fell into the abyss.but whocares i dont know these dumb people.

though i have been in forums far worse than this..this place is like a candy shop compaired to the ones i been in,but tthe ones i been in people had more competition..this game has no competition..its just spam skills,packs..and reroll a new character all day long and rinse and repeat.


i feel sorry for the people who buy this R9 stuff..its like pimping out a rental car and having to take it back looloolool

It's not really caused by adolescents. Im 15, and not every single teenager out there is 'negative. dont generalize stuff. That's probably also another reason. People make massive generalizations not only about age but also things like cash shoppers/high lvls having 'no life' etc

Yeah, people arent really abusive in PWI. The closest thing to that is calling out people in world chat or someone in an FB doinga leeroy jenkins and causing a wipe and getting accused.

Just a fun little fact, the largest gaming age group is 17-34 years of age. Most of the drama starters on Sanc have been known to be 30 years of age or older. Granted I do agree that there are quite a few immature adolescents playing this game though. It's rather annoying but gotta take the good with the bad I suppose xD

Indeed is kind of the reason I have been dormant for a bit no real reason to log to play when people are being bothers. Though I should get on am getting tired of sitting at 91. Most of the time I notice people just want to troll to get noticed. Sometimes it is best to try and tell people it is a fake game and we get enough people being trolls in real life. Peace to all and to all a good fight.

This game turned me into a Troll of sorts. There wasn't anything else worth doing anymore. Trolling even became boring, so I have decided to do other things with my time.

Seriously, instead of play a F2P game, I'd rather spend my time on quality games that might cost money, but in the end, I don't have to put up with endless **** on World Chat all day long, or Duke spamming, or even worse, Frankie's worthless excuses why they can't completely shut Duke the **** up.

i think the forum is more negative than the game. i rarely see answers that are 'un-diickish' or even helpful, which is a shame. considering the average gamer is a bit older than most online games.

a polite and respectful (and even accurate) answer goes a longs ways. and even may make someone's day b:victory

Most of what you said is true. I beg to differ on one point though. A group of people prefers to act childish, rude, stupid and perverted on purpose (no matter the reason or objective). I'd once again state that I am not fond of them at all and that I wish GMs were way less lenient about them.

On a slightly different point, that would be pretty impressive if you could find a place where all people are mature enough, quite friendly and much helpful and that it would not be because of enforced rules (you know, something like the result of fear which gives an impression of some strange peace).

I guess there is a place for everyone, even bored messmakers (which I am not a part of, if you mind me).

And for sure, a nice reply is always welcome and is sadly quite a rare commodity these days.
