Yes. You have to be on a pvp server to stand around in west gate looking at each other.

Oh wait, they do that on pve servers end game too.

Of course, you can't farm noobs in questing areas like you can on a pvp server - if thats your idea of "stuff to do" end game.

I spent a month of weekends in March on lost city looking for how much world pvp there is to see if its worth rolling my psychic there. Other than noob farming, I saw no more pk on lost city end game than on my pve servers. And I daresay there are MORE people at west gate on arch and sanctuary servers than I typically saw on lost city.

And by all accounts HL is worse off, but I didn't check there.

But to the OP, don't take my (or certainly anyone else's) word for it. Make an elf on each server, fly to west gate, spend a few weekends looking at each, and judge for yourself.

I've played both PvE and PvP server for over a year each. There's still more PvP on HL, even now, than DW ever had, even at the start of the server.

The farmign of newbies and lowbies breeds faction fights / KoSs / Alliances and drags out plenty of PvP. On a PvE server KoS is laughable and PvP doesnt require backup, it requires a mere "off switch".

PvP on PvE servers is pathetic.

If a player decides to switch to PvP mode on a PvE server, he/she has to spend at least 10 hours of in-game time in PvP mode.

pvp on PvE servers is about the same except we can choose when we do not want to be involed in drama. PK makes people emotional and when that happens I'm glad I can turn blue name and go do something else.

But, I also enjoy that once people do reach end game, they normally go up to OT and we bash it out. We do sometimes have organized "mini TW's" up there and many do show up. (There were around 30+ people up at OT yesterday bashing it out) PvE servers become more into pvp once we reach end game. We just don't want to be killed while we're trying to acheive our end game. ^^

sit in arch and leave your pc on at night... then you can be "safe" from all harm... gayness... i dont need pwi to protect me... i got pked a lot... now not a lot of ppl mess with me... last time i was pked was lvl 99 and a lvl 101 r9 veno with a nix just pwned me as i flew by... all i did was lol and move on with life... you have to take your lumps imo... lvl 30-60ish is that lump taking time...

    A. It wasn't there the whole month of March.

    B. Don't make me go though the forums pulling out all the people on lost city that have posted in the last 6-8 months that pk is dead there as well. It will bore me, and I doubt you're worth the effort.
now not a lot of ppl mess with me... last time i was pked was lvl 99

uh huh. Sin's don't have a right to comment, imo

    A. Odd that sins don't seem to pk other sins that much. They wait for robes. Might as well go around stomping puppies irl. Its about as much a challenge.

    B. Sins can sit around in stealth all day, and protect themselves from 90% of the server while they do wait for robes.

A sin's perspective on life on a pvp server is of little relevance to the rest of us, just so ya know.

    This.

Even if there's equal amounts of pvp on HL as on DW, DW has better PVP. Why? Because on HL, "PVP" is basically farming nubs for fun and if you happen to kill someone your "own size", it ends in QQing. People on DW just take it like a man and go back to town. Aside from that one guy... that was WCing today about a certain person killing him in cube... we all know who that is.

end game it is the best b/c of cast time, damage, and the pvp... a well gear psy that knows what he/she is doing is a deadly class to play... plus with white and black voodoo it allows you to play diff styles...

Except for the fact that DW never did and never will have the equal amount of PvP. I was on DW since day one. There was ok amount of PvP, but towards end of 2009, all PvP was just people stand at OT pk-dueling eachother. You almost knew everyone that ever goes in to PK mode that there's no real PK anymore and just friendly duels.

+50 to this pvp on PvE is pathetic. I'm from Sanct and OMFGRAGEONRAGEONRAGE there is no pk on the server. Bunch of tea parties out there nowadays. No one pks nowadays because they are so scared. they can only talk trash from sz and think they are cool. EVERYONE and i meane EVERYONE complains when they die in pk mode -.-. People are so scared to go pk mode or walk out of sz. On our server the faction that used to be the kings of pk are nothing but a bunch of cowards nowadays. There used to be pk a couple months ago when the current top faction was weaker, but now since the new top faction came to power everyone is just scared outta there mind. There is this faction out there that turtles it up 24/7 against these guys and only trash and tickets come flying out of there turtle shell. The top faction will love to own these guys, but the stupid PvE server rules are laaaaaame.

Why? Because at endgame if you have really good gear (and skill) you can kill just about ANYONE in PvP including Assassins.... and Sins are suppose to be OP in 1v1 PvP and even they are kill able. b:pleased

Why only look at west gate? PVP spots in LC are West gate, Silver pool, both orchids, and sometimes marriage quest. MASS PVP can be found at world boss spawn points at random times in the day.

nono, i don't mean a skill to get ME out of a PvP fight. i mean a skill that could be cast ON ANOTHER PLAYER that would, in effect, force them to be bluenamed for a while.

it makes more sense in MMOs that have only PvP servers with no PvE option, it's not something that'd be desperately needed in PWI. although i know folks who've quit playing who might come back to the game if it existed here.

i see no point of it existing here.

i mean to change some one else to blue name when they try to attack you, you might as well not be white name.

and on a pvp server you should expect to be attacked not magically turning people blue name to save your a$$
