*Let me get this out- This thread was NOT created to bash on the GM's of PWI. I am clearly stating an issue I personally see happening on the Heavens Tear server*

Alright, I've been noticing more than ever that the GM's activity on the server Heavens Tear has been declining on the World Chat chat feature. About a year ago, when I was playing there was not as much filth and utter stupidity happening on World Chat, and I saw a lot of people being warned and banned for their actions. Nowadays though, I see it progressively getting worse and worse on world chat and I want to know the reason for that.b:surrender

I will admit that I personally have been warned, and even banned once by a GM by violating a rule on world chat. I look at what I have commited in the past and the reason the ban was handed out and then I look now, a year later at world chat and I see it happening every day, non stop. The same garbage being said that would have gotten others banned earlier on.

I, as well as others are concerned about this- because there is a younger audience that plays PWI as well as the teen-adult community on the game aswell, and this is just innappropriate. If I have to send in a screenshot every time I see something bad I think thats not right either, and I think that the staff should watch world chat more and pay closer attention to what the players are saying.. Its frightening. b:shocked

Does anyone else have some comments on this issue aswell?

    While I don't mind it much and never have really, I'm also in that upper age bracket where it's no longer a concern and yes you are right the chatting is becoming more volatile. As an offender I'm fairly certain that in my last 100tele's, I've said quite a bit that would have been given a warning in the past.

    But yes there is no, "Good morning perfect world, I feel like I have the Monday's " or anything along that likeness anymore. Remember when using a WC would occasionally prompt a GM response to assist with quests or getting unstuck? And there is most certainly no warning anymore, they've more or less left us to handle our own community.


    Who knows, maybe their p.o'd at the QQ, or maybe they just got a handful of new staff in that doesn't like where they work. Can't say I blame them for bailing to go play Halo or beta test other companies mmo's.


    ps. those nice system messages that let you know someone was here always got responses from some rtard that felt the gm's should be working on fixing the game and not **** around in WC which is really sad. What can you say though, where there are people there will undoubtedly be idiots.

    I cannot possibly agree more, Sneakret. I loved those days when the GMs responded to the stuff in WC, and greeted us at the start of every day. It just added a personal, friendly touch. And it was a bit frustrating that some individuals harped on them for it.

    Oh and for the sake of staying on topic, I have definitely noticed how vulgar world chat is getting. I understand people using dots to break up words that would be otherwise censored in squad or even faction chat if they're in a more mature faction, but really they shouldn't get away with it in world chat. And they should definitely not get away with some of the blatantly sexual and sometimes bigoted things some of them say. Most are decently behaved in Dreamweaver at least, but there are a couple that take it way too far.

    I must say I am not bothered by WC usually, I just lol at kids spending their allowance on teles. The funniest thing is when I am busy in Arch and see two kiddies standing side by side, talking in world chat about their pimples or whatever else of private nature. Normal chat would do, a whisper might be even more appropriate.

    LOL this is funny... coming from someone who's permanently on my blist cause u spam WC and seem to think it's your personal chat room.

    *wonders*.... how many other people never see a thing you say in-game.? I believe that's why abysm quit you know... since the entire server blisted him. kinda hard to play when no one responds to you. lol

    been playing for a little over 2 years. the last time i saw a GM say something in WC was during the cube race event. after that i haven't seen one single thing from a GM.

    someone WCs for a GM to pm them and there pretty much laughed out of WC. there was a time when i WCed for a GM to pm me just to see what would happen and i got a wall of blue text with "lol" being the average response. GMs have been absent from the DW server for pretty much the entire time ive been playing. good or bad, i dont know because ive only ever played on DW.

    You can BOT for months (I know a barb who used bots from level 1 to level 103 on my server LMAO. He hasn't done a single quest.). Obviously I'm not going to name the guy. GM's do not exist.That there is PROOF that you are more likely to stumble upon an army of supermodels in Wallmart willing to have sex with you AND pay you a million dollars each.

    GM's don't exist in game anymore its a well known fact. When there are people who haven't seen a single GM appear in game even though they've played for longer then a year, that's pathetic. I've seen GM presence outside of an event 3 times. Not once were they actually there but actually just sitting afk on our server. This thread is pointless.

    Seriously? Of all people on HT server Elemental_W is the worst. You're constantly on WC telling people off. Every sentence you write on WC is nothing but an insult directed at someone. So don't be such a hypocrite.

    If you'd learn to read, you'd understand that everything I say is almost always against what someone else says and telling them to shut up. If the maniacs are on world chat competely ruining common chat I start talking and get them off, if the staff wants us to try to self govern the server I have to say I get the trouble makers off of the chatbox. b:victory

    no offense to Ele, but as long as i've played, i've never seen any reason to have world chat turned on at all. i don't know what gets said there or whether the general tone of it is changing, because even a year ago, it wasn't worth my time to read already. i only ever see it briefly on first logging in, or by accidental mis-click. the GMs ever policed it? shirley, you jest.

" It is rather pathetic when you write and respond to yourself on wc because no one seems to care what you write.     There's a HUGE ENORMOUS troll on our WC. His name is ~removed~. He's like the Yulk of Lost City, and the Elemental_w of Heaven's Tear. I can't think of a single soul who wouldn't rejoice at his perma-ban.

    Every time he is banned, SOMEHOW, he gets unbanned by some weird circumstance. God knows how, but he does.

    GM's need to get on the ball, especially with dumb people like him spamming yellow text. Otherwise, Harshland's WC is nice and clean.
    They made fun of me because I wasn't a R8 Psychic...and then came third cast. It's not funny anymore.

    If you dont like him, ignore him and say nothing. He only flares up when people start on him. Reasons or not, theres always someone being a **** to him first, and then everyone screams ban golgotha when he explodes. So childish >_>

    On another note, would be nice if some people could just use the ignore list or just ignore peeps. What people do on WC will only bother you if you let it, and if you let it bother you... You are going to really have issues irl when you cant get people banned for speaking their mind or swearing b:bye

    The majority of the audience that plays this game are at least 18+. It's even specified that you have to be at least 16 years of age to even register for an account. So, if there is anyone under the age of 16, and are bothered by the language on WC, then it's the parent's responsibility to make sure that they're children aren't exposed to it, not the GM's. I know I would not be caught dead letting my daughter play this game without me sitting right there beside her to monitor what's going on.
