PWI Comic Contest [Deadline June 10th at 6pm PDT!]

Hey guys, in case you missed it, we're running a Comic Contest, and we'd love for you to participate!

Remember, to submit an entry, simply go to (http://pwi.perfectworld.com/fancontent) and click "Submit your Work!". Select your file, choose the "Fan Art" category, and hit submit!

We've already had numerous entries submitted, and I wanted to remind you guys about the contest so that we can get the best possible turnout, so go on and give it a shot :)

Update (5-17-11): The Fan Content upload tool has been down for the past few days. In light of this, the Contest deadline has been extended, and we'll let you know the exact deadline once we get the tool working again.

Hey all, the uploader is back online, so please feel free to submit your entries!


The contest's new deadline is one week from today - Friday the 10th at 6pm PDT!


And to answer the question above me, after you submit your entry it has to be manually audited and uploaded to the site, so it can take a couple days. This auditing method is also used as the first round of judging, so please keep that in mind, and if you don't see your submission by next friday, it's possible that it didn't make the first cut. You can go ahead and PM me to make sure.

    Every time I try to fallow the steps and hit Submit ... it will say upload failed..

    What must I do? ): Are there to many ppl uploading? Cus I do not see alot on the page yet... I have the feeling my past entries have never been seen either v_V

    I have no idea what the uploader is like, but at a guess, try changing the file format.

    Id assume they accept PNG and JPEG, but they might only accept JPEG (Inferior quality ftw) so if your uploading a BMP(Bitmap) then that could be it.

    i have a question..

    so tat means it will be submitted at screenshot --> then fanart?


    or should i submit at 'fanart' then --> choose fanart again?


    please make this clear.

    and i did submit mine long ago, i pressed 'fanart' then selected 'contest' because it is a contest. will my comic still be eligible for the contest even if i submitted it as 'contest'?

    if it is not, i wanted to submit it again. ofcourse.. it will be the same comic, therefore making my comic submission a repetition, will this repetition get me penalized? and less likely to get the prize?



    oh and since i already uploaded my comic into the fanart gallery, why is my comic not on the gallery yet?

    Click the "fanart" tab in the orange bar, then click the "Submit your work" link directly underneath.

    After that you get the pop-up window to browse for the file etc...

    There's a drop-down tab and I assume you select "fanart" there as well.

    They want a .JPG format file that's less than 5 megs, also it looks like you have to click the "I agree to the terms of service" box at the bottom of that window...

    Since they're most likely proofed by the staff before being posted to the site, this shouldn't be an issue. That would suck though. lol

    If your file is more than 5 megs, or not in .JPG format, or if it somehow violates the Terms of Service, this could be the reason why. Also, I'm fairly certain that all the entries get reviewed by the staff before they're actually posted to the site, so there may be some delay due to that

    I, II and III spark is the most cheesiest skill in PWI and it should be removed or massively nerfed.

    I am wondering...
    I upload my comic like 2 days after the contest was announced and the upload was succesfully, but is not in the fan art, i know GMs must check it and all that, but same thing happen with easter egg contest (my egg ins't in fan art til today), so my question is: GMs take as entries only what is on fan art or they ckeck all works?, if i not see my comic in fan art i must assume that i didnt enter the contest or i still can win?

    My file is only 200KB and it is jpeg. I fallowed all the steps and still Failed to upload...
    I even tried different browsers... I tried submitting a ticket, but they just send me to another person again...

    That just isn't fair... I worked really hard on the comic... b:sad

    I am dealing with the same issue while trying to upload my entry.

    I have already tried Explorer, FireFox and Chrome and always get the error message. Image is jpeg format and size 1.23mb.

    It's really sad how so many people try to submit their entry but it fails because of the current uploading system. I liked it better when you email your work to the PW email. b:surrender
