Barbs becoming obsolete?

With the seekers here i keep seeing people say that barbs will be replaced and become completely useless. Is this true?

    so true.
    i mean seekers don't have any aggro holding skills like flesh ream and they can't get really high aps to hold against other classes, but yes. they are going to replace barbs.

    Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

    Seeker doesn't have any aggro skills and can't have high aps but they're definitely gonna hold aggro from barbs.

    if that is seriously your build. there is no way in hell your Free to play. And there is no one one the planet your going to convince otherwise.

    and for endgame claw barb beating BM PvE. At that point gear and skills makes a bigger difference than class does.
    Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

    The point is that a endgame barb beats an endgame BM because of those gears...........

    this game already hands u this kind of gear on a silver platter u must really be a noob as this gear is very easy to get 100+ when u run nirvana, hh, and merch

    the tome is easy too when tokens r low.... do some gv for frags buy pages w tokens

    again i ask why are so many ppl in this game morons?

    well... ok.. but it still dones't change the fact that if you can afford that you can probably buy the company...

    lol no that gear is for cash shoppers pan gu maybe but it would be cheaper to buy a sot then it would be to craft the tome. and rank IX easy to obtain? how is that? you cant get certain items you need for rank IX unless you buy from other players.

    edit: not to mention +12 weapon and +10 armor.

    Guys, guys, we're missing the point here. The point is Ink is a moron for actually asking if barbs will be replaced. They have next important squad buffs to a cleric genius. Hp buff and increased physical attack. I'm pretty sure seekers can't do either of those two.

    yeah but seekers can up your attack/defense level for the mere cost of a mirage...

    Attack Level or Defensive +3 or increased physical attack by 50% and my hp by 35% (sage buffs). Hmmmmm, which one will I choose???

    My end game on my barbs gears would be the same as Rawrg except for 1 thing. Nirvana pants instead of R9 (for attack lvl bonus, yes im an attack *****) and R9 axe when I want the extra def lvl

    Never. I will never choose a seeker over a barb. If a barb can't be found, then it's a bm for me. Barb's are not replaceable in my book ( Unless your 5aps b:chuckle ).

    Barbs have been obsolete for over a year ever since the 5aps craze broke out. Only thing they're good for are the party buffs, other then that they're just deadweight. (unless you're rich and roll a 5 aps demon claw barb)

    I don't feel they're obsolete. Buffs are great, but it's always, always preferrable to have someone who KNOWS how to tank, and is capable of tanking if things go bad. Plus, I love my barb friends, and would want them in squad anyway. <3

    I much much much rather have a barb as a tank rather then any other class.
    I'm always looking for barbs/clerics in WC sometimes sit for hours trying to find a barb there all vanishing away. Sadness. I need fuzzy butts around to not die. b:sad

    Not really vanishing. Barbs have always been in short supply, but with the changes to how fast one can lvl, there's not that many left in the mid lvl range.

    I see all kinds of lvl 95+ barbs running around. Not so much the 60-80 bracket.

    That's what upsets me the most at times, majority are in there 90's+ all ready sometimes mainly for the demand of barbs in FC runs reason they get up there pretty quick. Or the others are below 65. Making it finding a barb around your level for BH/TT/FC runs a drag. Same really for clerics. For the past week or two i been getting barbs in squads that are either 10 lvls above me or 20 lvls above me. And that is after i start all ready begging for a tank in WC to help with a run because the squad gets furious of waiting so long.

    ok, so im totally 'old fashioned', but i would much rather have the old squad of barb as tank, BMs/archers/mages as DDs, veno of course as puller/barb assistant (with Helping Hand, debuffs, pets) and a good, steady cleric to hold us all together. a good cleric is as important as a good tank

    Where can a Seeker replace a barb:

    FC (puller only) and as always would be better if there was a barb, and the seeker's gonna be slower.
    RB frontliner, however Cloud eruption will be essential rather than just beneficial, and the whole squad's gonna be functioning differently, sorta like a psy vs wiz squad functions differently, or a sin vs veno squad does.
    However, seekers will be beneficial in any party, though not as a replacement for a barb.

    Also... I love barb buffs, but barbs aren't really an essential part of squads anymore. This means that for most things.. they're obsolete, whether you like them or not.
