I'm sorry to single out your post but it's a rather good example. For some reason there seems to be a few people thinking along these lines and it's... weird, or perhaps not weird but rather illogical.

Just because you're a male doesn't mean your character has to be a male. Nor should anyone assume that just because your character is male then you must be a male in real life. I certainly don't assume that when I see a Barbarian that the person behind the screen is actually half man half panda/lion/wolf. I mean that would be absurd.

And how is it that cross-dressing influences what sex your character is? Are you saying that because I am a male in real life and I play a female character I must be a cross-dresser? I know you're not, but I am wondering, why does the fact you're not a cross-dresser have to do with the sex of your character?

And as far as I know there is no way to cross dress in-game, all fashion is restricted to either male or female, much to my dismay.

    I agree 10000%
Its a Game. Why should you stick to your irl gender? If you are trying to use the game as a dating platform then sure.

I am male irl and my mystic is male too. but next char is female ( I have 50% male 50% female chars) b:cute

lol, real life gender doesn't really matter to me when it comes to character gender. I play male and female chars fairly equally. I thought about the gender of my mystic for a lonnnggg while, but I eventually decided on male. While I still adore my veno, I thought it would be interesting to play a male summoner, and he's pretty good looking to boot. ^^
Syredrae ~ lvl 100 Cleric (main character)

    Auryl ~ lvl 100 Venomancer

    Mainas ~ lvl 80 Barbarian

    Suirune ~ lvl 2X Psychic

Im a dude, and i using a female mystic, bcoz when i hear mystic, i think of summon/pet
and when i think of summon/pets i think of a veno, and a veno is a girl, and ive been using a veno for so long that i dont see a male summoner, it just doesnt sound right.

    And also,
Mag classes look better on female xD

Most of the times u think of men, strong, power and stuff, so thats bm,archer, w/e but when u think of magic, and healing u think about girls =o

The only mag class that i use male char is psy, i find they look cool like that too :D

Let people play whatever gender they want.
Its a ROLEPLAYING game, not a confession on what kind of orientation or fetish that the player has.
I play characters based on class...most of my rogues and casters are females, most of my melee ones are male.

It is not weird or morbid to play the opposite gender.
There are no gender-specific rules in ROLEPLAYING, there is only one rule: have fun in whatever role you choose to be.

    My 2 cents
