Genesis Manual Patch Download

Hey guys, here's the link to the manual patch for Genesis!

Go ahead and download the manual patch, but keep in mind that if you install it now, you won't be able to log in to the game until after tonight's maintenance. The game server would recognize your client as the wrong version, so you wouldn't be able to get in until after Genesis is applied to the servers.

For this reason, you may want to just download it now, but don't run it until after the servers come down for maintenance.


Alternatively, you can also just not download this, and run the launcher when the servers come back up. You'll then autopatch up to Genesis, as you normally would for any new patch.

    I'd highly recommend manual patch, the manual server I regularly get over a 1mb/s extremely stable download speed, the autopatcher I've never gotten better than a 100k/s download speed and watching my connection it's very bounding. For small patches it doesn't matter, but this one's 1.1gb, manual is ftw.

    Downloading at around 720 KBps....not bad. b:victory

    But with many more players with the patch earlier, there will probably be a massive lag-surge seconds after the servers come up. b:shocked

    Unlike the rising tide expansion where it was really quiet for about half an hour or so....

    I'm really looking forward to this patch. I may actually come back to play on a regular basis if this patch works out right. Probably not as my cleric though. Unless quest exp actually scales properly now...

    patch version mismatch please verify.. i got this message.. does that mean i have to wait for servers to be up or do a verify?

    It's comparing it to the patch server current files, which they haven't updated yet. Don't hit verify yet....wait 'till the auto-patch is ready and then it should say it's fine.

    if you have version 484, you need to wait for the servers to be back up [finish the maintenance] to play the game

    as for the updates, if you have version 484 you dont need to update anything besides the launcher itself [switch the wallpaper and design probably]

    well color me a noob but i seem to fail at manual dl. i get the file ec_patch_468-468.cup but i got no clue what to do with it past that point b:surrender
