if you wnt some territory get off your lazy *** form a faction make some dam friends and start recruiting and gearing up the members of the faction then when you think your rdy to stop hiding go try to kick some *** in a twb:bye
EDIT: if you wnt a ghost town join archosaur server
thnx . : ) . .
Actually, I need time, and i will probable not get 100 or more before the reset.
If resets were happening more often, it would be better.
And every territory to give five times more ...
Or, something i read in a thread before, there should be no limit to how many territories of a faction other factions can attack. Then imagine an all -map-owning faction get attacked in all its territories at the same time ... that would be cool : ) ..
There would be cooperation among factions as well. : ) ..0 -

think about it. alot of people arent r8 or r9 and they still kill r8 and r9s, my friend which is 91 kills r8s easily sometimes. and another friend which is lvl 100 kills r9s with no massive fluke.
what im saying is that its not always GEAR that makes the player its the SKILL.
Im sorry, but here you are wrong.
Its both gear and skill. ..0 -
I would like to throw my 2 cents into the arena and say that I am happy with map reset and don't really know enough about TW/game economics to be happy or not with the return of coin rewards.
However, I DO know that on most servers there is a dominant faction right now (in my case on LC, it's Essence), and its only a matter of time before this faction regains the whole map (or enough of the map that it really doesnt matter, and then, through constantly pulling in millions of coin every week only gets stronger and stronger).
In my opinion, TW System needs to be changed so that there is a gradually increasing handicap applied the more territories you aqcuire.
Now I have seen this point raised before and I have seen the knee-jerk reaction of a few trolls, telling people like me to "s.t.f.u noob" or wotever amazingly original game insult is the current trend. But I have never seen anyone rationally and intelligently argue against it...
Does it make sense to you that TW should only be enjoyed by 10% of players who are lucky enough to belong to a faction that is strong enough or rich enough to participate? Because i dont believe so.
OK fine, in the 3 months after the expansion, HOPEFULLY around 50% of players will get the opportunity to experience a TW (and get their asses handed to them by Essence, Kami or whoever), but for the 6 months-til whenever after that, it will be back to the status quo, 1 coloured map!
Now i'm sorry, but if you are going to state that, "TW is in our opinion, one of the very best features of PWi", it's fairly inconsiderate of you to design it in such a way that it is inaccessible to 90% of your player base. It would be extremely easy to make minor changes to create this "handicap effect".
My personal idea is to have some NPC chars that represent the local population of the territory you are holding, who "Rebel" and assist the attackers making it more difficult for the current person to hold the territory. The more territories you hold the more "Rebels" are spawned... an incredibly simple "fix" i would think for the average developer.
Now I know there are some people with too much time on their hands who will flame me, but not enough brain cells to argue coherently against this idea, however i hope a few of you at least will give me some intelligent reasons why this is such a bad idea.
And I hope even MORE of you will step forward and voice support for this idea. As i stated already, it affects probably 90% of the player base...
(And if the Forum MODS/GM's could reply with their thoughts I would be extremely grateful, I have made the effort to provide you with rational, reasoned player feedback so it would be nice to get a cookie! ) b:laugh0 -
Tsk we totally asked for the reset quite awhile ago.........does this mean items ordered are on back order like new skins for the TW battlefield? Or maybe maps have differing effects based on which one you are fighting in? Total ground battle or decreased gravity stuff would be awesome.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

In response to your suggested handicap, I believe there is a simpler alternative. For every territory held above x amount (maybe 5) defenders have a reduction of 3 (or so) in attack and defense level upon entering the instance. That way they take more damage and dish out less.0 -
The TW system has been restored to the way it was, and the map is being reset. Whats to complain about? This was asked for by many players. The number of TWs each week diminished considerably after mirages became the prize and blind bid and no refund was instated. Now the coin rewards are back, the map is being reset ( not sure about the blind bids and no refunds..)
But TW will be fun with lots of opportunity for guilds to TW for some time to come. It will take a guild a year to own the whole map again, not a few months, so ........ guilds should be developing strategy to prevent this from happening again ( start ROFLing now please ), but in all seriousness TW requires some strategy on and off the battlefield.
If a guild begins to dominate the map, the number of TWs they have to defend in 1 time slot increases, and the number of time slots they get also increases up to 7. No guild can defend multiple attacks in every time slot every week. If the strong are allowed to acquire land with no guilds attacking them they will rack up many lands quickly. If the attacks begin early on as the maps settles it will be much harder for any one guild to survive the ganking that comes with owning many lands. Bid intelligently not greedily unless you want another 1 color map ( continue to ROFL here please)
Every change will present pros and cons, for the most part, this change is more positive as far as I can see.
Enjoy the map reset, new lands, the expansion, and TW, and stop QQing!0 -
woo amazing nice i really like this0

Has anyone ever thought of this change as a bad thing? I mean seriously, since when did we start trusting the devs... In my opinion, mirages are harder to come by than coins, and besides if you look at china's economy, the tw payout barely helps at all with the inflated prices and all. Maybe it's to make us more dependent on d.orbs? I don't know...i just got a gut feeling that it aint as good as they tell us.0

b:laugh It's PWI's game. It's free to play if you don't want to spend real money. If you don't "trust" the developers, you can leave when you want last time I checked. This is just a game and not real life. b:chuckle I'm looking forward to playing the game with the new expansion and having fun with my friends. I've also had excellent results with any issue which I submitted a ticket to the GMs.
I "trust" the develpoers to give me new content that I can enjoy and that they can make their living. If not, I can alway leave like I did the last MMO I played. It's a very competative world. b:thanks
