Fix System Spam Immediatly[PETITION]

It's really 2 simple words people:

System spam.



I, for one, do not understand what sort of idiotic logic leads someone into thinking it's actually a good idea to actually code this into a game's programming. I had a falling out with this game awhile back, and I was actually interested in trying to pick it back up. After logging in though, I realized I could not have a cooherent conversation with anyone, at least without having to scroll up on the conversation log. This is supposed to be a social game, hence the term MASSIVELY multiplayer.

This issue is beyond ridiculous. It's not that hard to comment out a few lines of code that displays red text garbage about some rich kid's bids every 2 or 3 seconds. It's causing alot of people I played with to, quiet frankly stop playing out of aggrivation or loss of interest; and to be honest I'm following suit.

All of that aside, sign this if you beleive there should be an active measure taken to take this garbage out of our chat, or at least make it possible to disable system chat in settings.

    Yes, yes it is this thread again. Oh look, its someone pointing out the obvious, again.

    System spam is a serious problem of recent times in this game. Its extremely annoying and very difficult to hold conversations. It needs to be fixed.

    For everyone that's signed, you should submit a ticket...

    It wouldn't be so bad if Duke shouts about pack winnings, marriage notices, and Bidding Hall announcements only showed up in the Normal Chat channel and not in the other channels (Squad, Faction, Whisper). The only "system" messages that should cut into sem-private channels should be notices of a server-wide event (like Celestial Tiger or Jungle Ruins) or of an unscheduled shutdown for emergency maintenance.

    Seriously... sign here for moral support of the OP but if you want to make a difference, submit a ticket through SUPPORT: Custmer Support and GM Help / Comments and Suggestions...

    Summary = "Non-Essential System Spam"

    Detail = "Most of the system messages on PWI these days are non-essential spam that are intrusive in the Squad, Faction, and Whisper channels and disruptive to team communications. Recommend that Duke shouts, marriage notices, and Bidding Hall announcements be limited to the Normal Chat channel."

    If enough people submit a ticket, maybe it will be considered, but a thread like this... meh, doubt much will come of it (still I support the idea).

    /signed as well. Maybe if we annoy them as much as their purposely putting un-filterable red spam messages in the game annoys us, they might bug their developers enough to fix the ****.

    Dosent really help to be aware of the problem if it's just ignored.

    Why would they close a thread about the experience their players are having with the game...?

    That really just sounds alot like trying to hush up problems to me :S

    I think not all red messages should be gone. For marriages or for someone obtaining a herc/nix I think there is allowed to be a message.
    however for everytime someone opens a pack and gets something out of it I don't care...
    Before packs came noone cared for the system messages every now and then.

    Heck how dissapointed I was when there wasn't a message when I got my herc! b:sad
    if there wouldn't be a message when you got married... that would suck too I gues...

    So I'll sign petition, but only if just the pack spam is removed.

    You can turn off the sound, you can't turn off system messages. It spoils your chat in game, tv does not spoil your chat when sound is off. Fail comparsion. b:surrender

    I'd rather see many other things 'fixed' than system messages. Sure it's annoying, but I'd rather have system messages = on than have them off. We already went through this months ago. b:sweat

    It devastates the communicative aspect of the game.

    However you would be stupid to think they will stop this spam. The reason it is there is to give the false impression that good prizes are commonly dropped from the packs, thus inspiring further purchases. It is deliberate, in-the-face, advertising.

    I'm even suspicious that some of the characters supposedly gaining these items are real. Many times I see characters I have never seen or heard of receiving wave upon wave of uber gear. Its very odd because you tend to kind of get to know who the rich, powerful characters are on your server.

    People have alts... one of the ways they get around the daily spending limit is to charge on a different account.

    And many people open packs on different accounts so that you don't say "oh hey, it's him/her spamming packs again".
    I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.
