End Game Sage Barbs

Yes, I agree, the concept of Sage Barbs is pretty much dead, their main uses now are buffing slaves and cata-pullers in TW.

APS killed the Barb's tanking abilities. b:chuckle

i dnt have much trouble finding a squad. Just get your sage strength of titans buff. Just by having that most squads will take u for the 50% added phy damage or wateva. Plus most large factions are aware that they need rich cata barbs and will take you on TTs/Nirvana runs my experience anyway.

You can pull catas.

I agree. SyGrrr only comes out to play when someone wants hour buffs and on the weekend to pull a cata.

Fluffy is right. I can FIND squads no problem. But I can't contribute jack. I feel like dead weight.

The game with its OP gear and easy access to all skills, has turned into nothing but a zurg. There is no such thing as group roles anymore. Ths has not only ruined it for the barbs, but the clerics as well, all weve become worth is a tote around blue bubble. b:sad

Replace "sage barb" with "wizzie" (cept for delta) and you could have copied this from the wizzie forums.

And I think anyone would delta with a sage barb. If you don't have alpha male on your genie though, gtfo.

You can say the same for all the people playing casters - you think they ever get invited to TT or Nirvana lol... They invested money and time to and their only purpose now would be TW or PvP. They cant even get 95+ Frost parties anymore since people only want sin + bm as DD.

Tank build sage barbs arent unique in any way at all, pretty much everyone that isn't interval build DD/tank will have problems endgame. At least archers + barbs have the ability to get 4.0/5.0 which makes it a bit easier, casters cant even do that.

Getting into BH as a barb shouldn't be hard at all tho, no matter what build or gear you have as tiger. People just want buffs <_<

sage barbs only purpose is tanking and cata pulling, u take tanking away and all we have is cata. all that i can do with 1 5 APS bm around is take aggro and then lose it again. barbs need another spammable aggro skill, or a way to tell how much aggro u are drawing in. from what ive heard about the expansion, 5 aps wont be removed. it will be "less effective" not neccesarily sure how but thats what was said.
5 aps needs to be removed from the game, its basically a no skill way to win the game. this is all u have to do to be a 5 aps (insert your class) REMOVE ALL SKILLS FROM U BARS!) place auto attack on 1, place demon spark on 2,auto attack on 3, demon spark on 4, auto attack on 5, and so on, then smash your face, against the key board and continue to roll, (this is the hard part) make sure to be accurate in the placing of your forehead. You gotta hit all the numbers!. its the worst way to play the game, yet the most efficient...

if u are 5 aps it means your are bored of the game and all of its machanics. and having a good time.

in PvP u are just a hitting machine, u try to hit them to death, before someone 1 shots u. which is why u have axes pole or sword, but some 5 aps bms dont carry these.. idk why they just dont. lvl 0 highland cleave wtf?

this game used to be fun as a barb because maintaining aggro was possible even over a wizard hitting for 100k + damage. now u have to be demon fist or sage fist to get anywhere above them in aggro. one method that i have found effective though. get a weapon with Provoke. it increases your threat lvl upon a succesful hit. this + flesh ream and devour will allow u to tank alittle better against a 5 aps DD.

PvE in PwI is almost non-existent, because of the lack of it. the devs messed that up for us when they started messing with RIG's aka random item generator's or what we call "the packs". i havent had any fun in PwI since back when i was on malaysian servers. it was challenging and fun. instead of a big rush to lvl 100 and then a big flop that nirvana turned out to be. there are no fun instances in PWI. the bosses are nothing special. the TW's are no fun. the game shouldn't be called a MMORPG, its a internet chat site only roll u play is the man or woman or beast thing sitting in archo complaining to people. thats all it really is. the content in this game was ruined when they introduced the CS way of lvling (oracles and hypers). when they removed TW pay. there is no honor or worth of the land. this game is not what it was supposed to be. this game has become a peice of trash. ffs they even disabled an entire instance that was for farming gear. they did a major **** job when they removed FC as a gear instance.

ill always be a sage barb even if i am only stuck for buffing the sht out of people.

hopefully sometime ill be able to be the best tank i can be. atm that is impossible for any sage barb. the genesis expansion looks nice. just hope it does better than this horrible TB expansion. if not im out of this game for good. atleast the pay to play games keep their **** balanced lol.

rofl couldnt have said it better myself, theres not much skill involved with high aps, I rolled a bm, myself to see what the big deal was, currently on a 4aps bm (borrowed Wagya's tome to try 5aps b:dirty) and although it makes you feel like a god of damage... I dont seem to be doing much but tab>autoattack/sparkmacro>tab>autoattacksparkmacro...

With my barb, he has 15 sage skills.

With my bm, I need 0, maybe demon fist mastery and aura... but I have demon spark and no number of sage skills make up for that 20% attack speed increase of demon spark. b:sad


When I got sage spark on barb, it was like, hrm.. thats nice, a bit more damage b:cute

The split second I hit 89 on bm and got demon spark and used it with a pair of tt80 fists, there was such a massive increase in speed and power I felt like the game suddenly got 10 times easier.


Right now the game is not suited to us sage barbs, I dont have trouble finding squads for my barb not at all, he is nearly always welcomed to any squad in need, although I am noticing people seem to prefer to ask for buffs from my barb but my bm to attend the instances, example nirvanas. *cough pulse cough* >_>

By farming do you mean you are the bank and you take all the good drops for armor and weapons then give us the less desirables therefore we have to beg others to help and hope the item randomly selects us again or you run back and fourth on our subs then try to sell us the item we received randomly at astronomical prices knowing we cannot afford it.

if there is no patch to make barbs more efficient in their abilitys. WITHOUT the use of claws. i am quitting this char and rerolling. and i will wait till everyone has NO barbs and NO hp buffs. then its game on for selling them at 100k a buff :P 500k for squads of 5!
