    They shoudl allow it But only Players form PVE server aka blue names only form pve server can change to pvp bc id have a fewe 9x player on harshlands xD

    If it's on the same name server, yep, it's just that easy.

    If it's not? Well, PWE is having inter-server PK contests, so of course, transferring characters is actually scripted.

    And what he fails to know is that, it's all database driven... information between two separate databases is easily transferred. There is no skill or magic required. lol

    Ofc transfers are possible, if the oldest MMO out there, with their cluster of ancient game coding engine can do it for a 1 time cost of 50 bucks, PWI could as well. Question IS though....is the current staff capable of figureing it out? Hard to say, seems they have been more of a cut and paste of whatever junk china makes.

    They should offer transfers IMO, but limit it to PvE goes to a PvE server, and PvP to another PvP server. and that be all.... However I wouldnt see the harm in a PvP going PvE. Me I rolled my new main on a westcoast server 6 or seven mos ago.. things in my personal life have changed where I wish I was back on an eastcoast server, would be nice to have that option, at a resonable price to pay.

    Anyway switching servers would not be possible really since in-game items have different values on different servers. Just the fact that some TT mats are like 200k on LC and 1 mil each on Raging Tide.

    I do think it should be possible to just move a stripped char + maybe your in-game gold to another server, than it would be hard to exploit anything.

    Its fully possible to move chars as well, just look at PW-CN moving around players during PvP events and also when they make a new server for a merge.

    EDIT: Also, if this was possible, all hell would break lose and servers would crash because each server is way to populated and imagine if we can buy stuff from different servers.

    EDIT 2: Every time there is a new server, gold is always resets to 100,000. PWE want's to make money off of us so i don't think they would like cross server trading.

    Nope, that is not how it works

    The gamedb itself is a Berkleydb, not SQL like you have above

    To transfer between servers you must first export the entire character via XML using the Protocol API written in Java by the PW developers OR (doesn't always work) export using the gamedbd itself and then importing to the other server's gamedbd

    That is the only way to actually do the transfer as that is how it was written
