Can anyone give me the basics?

I'm trying to figure all of this game out so forgive me if my questions are answered somewhere else. I really couldn't find any answers somewhere else. I'm getting literally no help in game. I've actually been completely ignored. So. Here are my questions.

Is there a general pricing list somewhere so I can figure out what I should price my items in the consignment shop? I feel like either I'm going to get greatly ripped off or charge too much and then they won't sell. Or even if there's a way to just search through other people's shops.

Is the only way to get gold and silver is by paying for it? Doing the whole Zen conversion thing?

What can coins be used for? I went into the boutique and it seems like everything there requires silver and gold.

I'm sure I have more questions but I can't think of them right now.

There's no list for prices. You'll just have to look at what other people have in their shops and price your items based on what you see. You can view a shop by double clicking on it, if you didn't know.

You can buy gold in game as well as with real money. To buy in game, you go to an auctioneer and choose the gold trading option. You'll see a list of people requesting to buy gold (in green) and a list of people selling gold (in yellow). Pretty easy to figure out once you see the screen.

Coins can be used for everything outside of the boutique. Buying from npcs, other players, whatever.

Thanks for answering, I really do appreciate it. So how do I get to a list of other people's stores then?

And I remembered one of my other questions, are there any NPCs or stores in game that I can sell my items directly to rather than doing the shop thing?

And I remembered one of my other questions, are there any NPCs or stores in game that I can sell my items directly to rather than doing the shop thing? You can sell to almost any NPC, like the blacksmith, tailor, merchant, and the like. If you see the word "goods" you can sell using the selling side.

Hope this answers your questions :D

Ah, there's no list. People can pretty much set up shops wherever they want. You've probably seen 'em without realizing what they were. The default one is a pink or orange cat, and the others include a mermaid, a cow, and a lighter. lol
They're mostly found in west Archosaur, so if you have no idea what I'm talking about that's a good place to look.

As for the second question, you can sell your things to pretty much any npc that could sell you something. A merchant, apothecary, blacksmith, tailor, etc. Choose the 'goods' option (er... I think that's what it is. I don't pay attention to dialogue :x) and then drag what you want to sell to one of the squares on the bottom right.

Also Looking at other catshops can give you a feel of what to set your prices to, if you want to sell items that way.

Thanks, you guys. I just found someone that I could sell things to.(Thank goodness, my inventory was full.) Now I've just been running around looking at the catshops but I think I may stick to selling to the NPCs until I get more experience with the items.

Here's the next thing that's confusing me. I went into the City of Raging Tides and there's the teleportation woman there who says she can teleport me for free until I reach level twenty. So I select the teleportation map and I can get anything to work as far as going to another area that way. I just click and nothing happens then I finally figured out right clicking would take me back to the original page. What am I doing wrong?

*Edit* Oh, and where can I find the tools I need to harvest from the stones and plants?

You can't just click anywhere - you can only go to waypoints. Basically, anytime you go to a new city, be sure to talk to the teleporter there and it'll activate that waypoint. Waypoints are identified on the teleport map by little... green symbols (not sure how to describe it lol) and if you're able to teleport to them from your current location, there will be a white line connected to it.

Oooh. That makes more sense then. I kind of expected there to be some symbol or something since she named two locations she could send me to but there were no indicators on the map. Does just talking to them do the trick or do I need to pick some special option for it?

Each town has a "teleport master" and as soon as you double click on her, a waypoint is activated. That being said, you could always spend 5 bucks and get a Geographic map, which opens all the possible waypoints automatically.

Nothing special, I don't even think you need to open up the map from them... as soon as you double click 'em it'll be added. I can't remember which teleporter it is in that area, but there's one that will teleport you around through a quest rather than the teleportation map. Probably the one you were talking to.

To get the Super Inventory Stone, you will have to buy gold(ZEN) using real money.
    ZEN Purchasing: https://billing.perfectworld.com/

Once the ZEN is turned into gold on your account, ht the O button to open the boutique, you will find the Super Inventory Stone in there.

D'oh! So how much does gold normally go for when purchasing it with coins? I guess I should have checked that when I was near the auction house thingy.

It varies per server. On HT, gold is going for 380-400k each.

Aah. Is this game one of those ones that you have to stick to one server? Like the characters don't transfer between them?

So I've been doing research trying to figure out where I need to go to get the materials I need for my crafting skills and I'm a little confused. I found this site http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/810 and obviously there I was looking for cotton thread. My problem is that all of the monsters I can get cotton thread from seem to be over around City of the Plume but I can't even get near that place. I'm only level 6 so pretty much everything around there kills me in one hit and they're not the monsters that don't attack unless you attack them. Is that site accurate? And if it is, what should I do to get these materials that I need? Based on what I found about gathering cotton thread once you get up in the higher levels(Where I would need to be to even survive) the drop rate for it is pretty much zero.

There are monsters dropping cotton thread near all the starting areas, not just near Plume. What race are you?

I'm a...Fishy person. I can't remember what they're called right now and for some reason it's not listed under races on the website. o_o'

I've been killing everything within two levels of my own(Since I read on the wiki that within those levels give the most experience and have the best droprate.) and nothing has given me cotton thread.

Hmm.. maybe pwdatabase isn't up to date with Tideborn mobs. I'm sure there's something, but I couldn't tell you what :(

Also, you're correct about characters. Once you make a character on a server, that character can't be moved to another, although you're free to make other characters on other servers.

You don't need to make them immediately. You can always wait until later to up your manufacturing skills. If you're looking for equipment, it's not worth the trouble of farming cotton thread so you can make npc gear. Just wear what drops when you kill mobs. 3 star items are particularly good. There's no set gear below 70.

What's the exchange rate between dollars and Zen? Like how much zen would I get for twenty dollars? I found the exchange rate from zen to silver and silver to gold but I can't figure out the dollar to zen.

You're right, they do. I finally got high enough level to fight them yesterday. Those and Mutated Electric...Skifish? I can't remember what they're called.

So I'm trying to do the Earn Zen thing from the page where you purchase Zen and it says that you have to be at least level ten to participate(Once you have a level 10 or higher character in-game, you may Charge your ZEN.). I got up to level 11 yesterday. But it still gives me this message "Looks like you're not old enough to access this feature!

Come back after you've earned enough experience!"

Do I have to be a member for a certain amount of days?

the web pages aren't always up to date with the in-game character data; it may take a while for the "earn zen" page to get the memo about your leveling up. i wouldn't worry about it unless it fails to catch up for a week or so --- if that happens, open a support ticket.

    Okay. I'll wait then.

Is there any way to increase drop rate? Like sometimes it seems if I stick to killing the same sort of monster the drops basically stop. Yet everyone around me appear to be getting better drops than I do. Well, maybe not better but definitely more often. Does it increase the drop rate if you're in a team or if you switch between monsters?
