Fix pk drops please <3

I find it highly unfair that i troll the west gate daily and kill like 5 quad zillion people and never get my drops because blue names hover over every player clicking PICKUP as fast as they can

Fix it to were the most DPS should get the first picks of loot like when we kill mobs..

    I agree, I am tired of losing items in pvp. I get owned many times, why do I have to lose my items? I would of restated my old archer instead of restarting if this did not happen -.-

    1. Dear god that text is hard to read. Go back to your pink text please, at least your QQs were readable then.
    2. This has nothing to do with reducing PK drops. It has to do with making sure they actually go to the person that did the killing.

    A simple fix would be something like

    It is rather annoying. I've heard people complain a few times that they couldn't pick up an item (despite having proper space) and a blue name runs over and picks just fine.

    ahhh... blue names on lc. can't live with them... can't live without them.

    I dunno. The Cube of Fate is designed so PKers can inconvenience non-PKers and cost them valuable time and items. Regular PK is designed so non-PKers can inconvenience PKers and cost them valuable time and items. There's a certain symmetry to the setup. If you make it so blue names can't pick up PK drops, I say Cube (among other places) needs to be changed to an entirely no-PK zone (aside from the two PK rooms).
    Hmm there should be a sorta of "whoever got the kill" or "whoever did the most damage" thing as to where only they can pick up items.
    That's incredibly difficult to implement in a fair manner when there's healing involved, especially when you effectively have to kill someone 1.5x to punch through their charm. Say a person gets hit for 70% of his hp by Bill, ticking his charm. He's then hit for 60% of his hp by George. Just before his charm's cooldown is up, Barak hits him for 50% of his hp, killing him. Who most deserves the kill? Bill for doing the most damage? George for doing the most damage after the charm tick? Barak for dealing the finishing blow just before the charm would've ticked again? How about debuffers or stunners? Do they get any credit?

    A charmless "most damage" system also opens the system up to exploits. A barb could have his partner hit him and almost (but not fully) heal him a bunch of times to build up 100k worth of damage. He then just has to make sure never to heal up to max hp as he PKs (assuming that would reset any damage counters). If he's killed, his partner is virtually guaranteed of having done the most damage, and gets first shot to pick up anything he drops so he can return them to him.

    The "most damage" system works on mobs because they don't try to exploit the system, and they automatically reset if they lose aggro.

    they already have a working most damage system for pk when somone shatters, i doubt it would take much working to impliment that on normal drops to.

    2. Regardless of where you kill people in the cube, there is NO loss of exp and NO loss of items.

    Sure some time is lost, but it's the way the cube works. Some rooms you are just destined to die in.

    There is for mobs, yes. However when you kill a person PKing, there is no such timer. The loot is free for all the second it hits the ground, which is what the complaint is about.

    Meh, what makes it worse for us ranged chars is that at least when a BM/Barb/Sin kills someone they are standing next to them when the loot drops - when I kill someone I'm normally as far out as I can be. 90% of the time I kill someone I don't get the drops even if I Holy Path to them right off (assuming I have the genie charge).

    Crappy or what?

    Sure you don't drop anything, however: wasted dice tickets, do-all/robber/bully cards, etcetera would still count as lost items.

    I never see anyone in the cube when I do it anyway so that is a bad excuse to use tbh... you are usually the only one in that room at all times, and is why well... its a good idea to have do-alls since youll never get through the pk to continue rooms w/o them

    I didn't say it couldn't be done, I said it couldn't be done in what people would consider to be a fair manner across a wide varietty of situations. All it would do is morph the "blue names got my PK drops" complaints into "I did most of the work but someone else got my PK drops" complaints

    If you wish, you can try to list all the different scenarios and the different outcomes of a particular "most damage" system in each scenario to try to figure out which one is fairest/will generate the fewest complaints. The improvement could be worth it despite the failure in some scenarios. My point was that just slapping on a damage counter isn't a panacea - there will still be complaints.

    As was pointed out, you lose the dice tickets, cards, and do-alls, pots and charm ticks (100 sec rooms) used to get up to the room you were PKed in. (I'd add coin boxes but most people seem to have figured out you can sell those for more than you paid.)

    That presents the other solution to the problem: Don't PK in places where there are lots of blue names. PKing just outside of West Archo and complaining about blue names picking up the drops is pretty much the same as blue names sticking around to chat in the bored rooms in Cube long past the timer, and complaining about getting PKed there.

    If you aren't willing to put in some effort to minimize the chance of the undesirable outcome occurring, then why should you expect the devs to put in any effort?
