I can image that only a small % of all players even read the forum(And even smaller part actually write something on it),still I think that we count something,not that much,but some money that I won't just throw out of the window.

That's the central issue; obviously no one has effectively been able to get everyone to stop spending money enough so that they begin listening to us. Maybe it's bad organization, maybe it's too few people paying attention to the forums, but we are not united. So you have people who try to be reasonable and see that it fails [because there aren't enough people presenting their concerns] and then go crazy in response.

You know, as much as the post makes sense, at the same time it doesn't.
Just like people scream "OMG it's only a game go take a breath" at the QQ trolls who are always QQing, we could say the same about this thread. It's only a forum, no need to feel ashamed.
I do agree things need to calm down, there have been serious issues on both sides of the coin as it were, and one side is going to have to start fixing it before the other side can because otherwise it's this big stalemate and it goes nowhere. As of right now, given the number of people angry with Frankie and the mods, it's the posters and player base who are in a better position to start being mature and fixing their own behaviour.
Of course, if the posters were to start doing this and then nothing is rectified, you could expect an outrage and a riot even bigger and more explosive then the one just gone by.
On that note, I am not ashamed. I am not ashamed and have no reason to be. I should have been banned ages ago. I've made worse posts than Michael or Mista made for instance, definitely said worse things then NightRage, etc. etc. There's no reason for me not to be banned and nobody short of Frankie himself knows why I'm not off these forums yet.
I know plenty of people who would like to know, including myself, but eh.

There will is, no doubt, an awful lot being done behind the scenes by Frankie and the team, all for you ladies and gentlemen. Yes, a lot sure needs to be done but most of the forum goers (in particular trollers) have lost sight of the whole picture.
People get all scary mary over something they have enjoyed and see crumbling. Sounds like reasonable sense when done in a practical way.
This past week, we have seen new mods introduced and people bricked themselves. This caused people, who say themselves that they are intellectually superior beings to get all too big for their boots, explode in a ego rage and lose track of reality.
Airyll, I'm only placing your name here because of a good thread you made. ChaoticShelly fought tooth and nail to keep your thread on track and open for YOU and for the decency of the topic and the reasonable forum users. Sadly, as a follow up to the nerdrage 2010 incident, WUMs have started to join the fray, turning to racism, insulting nationalities and religious demographics. Not only that, it started to turn into a dating thread. Shelly doesn't deserve the grief she gets. That other thread someone mentioned in another thread, people were asking for that to be moved, it was a set up all along, no chance to get that right.
In light of all the other stuff, there is a very big picture, it's about time all the doubters started to see it, maybe then you will feel a little aggrieved at your actions.
Blinkers are for silly mares, I urge you all to take them off.

Ehhhh. Yes and no. For her conduct itself, no. But I wouldn't call her blameless because, even though Frankie made the final call, Shelly had to accept the moderator position. I personally don't take issue with her moderating conduct (though I know that some people here do), but the fact that she wasn't really qualified to be any sort of community leader here should have crossed her mind at least once. Oh, and while I'm on the subject... what do I mean by "qualified," you ask? For the most part, what people have been saying all weekend. We want someone who's not only a player, but understands our game. Do I expect them to be Level 103 with Nirvana gear and a working knowledge of every mob, instance and item known to man? No. That's technical stuff. That kind of knowledge is helpful, but not strictly necessary.
But does Shelly know what the Duke Rose Fiasco of 2009 was (without Frankie feeding her the answers)? Does Shelly understand why people have been clamoring for reductions in gold prices since July of 2009 (hint: it's not just packs)? Would Shelly be able to sympathize with us if, say, we begged to have the Snowmen back for the full month of December this year (because I know I will be)?
All these and more are examples of PWI's history in just two short years. Shelly has been around... what was it? 7 months? A year? One of those two, I think. So she's not totally unversed in PWI history, but I'd say based on the time she's been here, her knowledge of the game's issues is most likely lacking.
See, I disagree with that. I think it's entirely possible to reach a consensus. How many people do we have here on the boards? A ton. Hell, Konari's first appointment to mod status was a shining example of that kind of collaboration. I've been here since 28/08/09. I registered 6 weeks after the game launch (I think) but I quit and came back. I was not her when the Duke Rose incident happened yet I know about it. Same goes for other things that you mentioned. It's not impossible to know about those, but you have to read most of the threads here if you really want to be 100% informed of things that happened before you started.
To be honest, I think the best mods would be ones that just lock/move/merge threads, ban people and answer to general, forum-related questions. The knowledge of the game is needed when talking about CMs. One or two CMs more and our mods could be real mods without needing to know anything about the game.
But that wouldn't bring the respect. Which is the reason why this forum is in chaos.

Eh. To me that sounds more like a "Janitor" position. Which is fine, and all, but call them what they are. Buuuuut that goes back to the whole "lack of transparency" issue which has plagued this staff from Day One (with the notable exception of Spoons).

Nope, not too attacking at all.
There will always be a spread of people wanting mods like this or like that.
Shelly, as our best current example has maintained high levels of decorum, despite all that has been hurled her way. That is far more than can be said of much of the posting population. She is constantly learning about every single one of you, each and every time she is online and, likewise each and every time you guys post. This is an example of a staff selected mod.
It is unfortunate to use Konari as an example of the forum selected mod, I liked the guy, whether in the guise of forum poster, mod or in game player.
The majority of forum users wanted him to become a mod. Then... they turned on him. Granted, not everyone did but a lot did. Why? I could put something here but it probably won't go down well.
Wake up everyone!
Mods and GM's are not what we're supposed to be gunning for.
You want things better? Stop bickering amongst yourselves! Get back on track for the game saving we all want. Pull together or you will get nothing. You will be supported as best the GM's and PWE staff can.0 -

Yeah. Frankie is (in my opinion) doing his job just fine. I have no reason to not believe his words since I have seen plenty of games with this kind of management (it's in the works, coming soon, just be patient, of highest matter etc). i have to admit friday was horrible, it was a riot. but the people who took part were not out of line. this has been due for a long time now, and ik a lot of people kno this. maybe even you if you've been even paying attention to whats been going on.

The problem with Frankie is that 90% of the things he says never come to be. He doesn't identify with our problems and any evidence that he cares at all is few and far between. Yet, when he does post, even if it's a "we're working on it" post, his posts are usually well received. Until this mod debacle, anyway.
