http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=7a9504fe03bae65c not too bad of a build if the dude wants to waste his money. 76% DR, 5.0, 10k hp. should get the job done.

If you can afford to make a 5.0 char, then you can afford to gear your main.
Seriously, you're gonna blow thousands of dollars and months of time just to farm for your main?
I DETECT FAILURE IN THE FORCE!

I can afford to gear my main but I prefer to do it one step at a time so I don't spend all my coins which will allow me to continue merchanting. More funds to merchant = more profit. A 5.0 BM is an investment that will pay for itself in the future and the 100 or so million of coins I need to gear him is not that expensive to me.

How the hell does one thread seeking answers turn into a flame-fest?

My guess? These people have a different standard of "profit" than you. To most people, getting a 5.0 APS character is a dream that'll most likely never come true. To some, it's a goal. There aren't many who can say that their assets are so great that a 5.0 APS character is nothing but a tool for more assets.

So you really shouldn't pay much attention to the guys telling that it's a bad idea. They just don't realize the difference in scale.

Are you like, being serious? 100m is less than what nirvana pants alone costed here on LC last time I checked.

By a rough guess, a 5.0 with CV claws would cost at least triple that, without any refine or shards and counting eva ornaments instead of a tome.

But yeah, if 300-350m for a +0 WR with 5k hp, 3k patk and next to 0 mdef sounds good to you, go for it champ.

For an actually decent one you'll be spending close to a billion if not more, but honestly either way doesn't look like a smart investment to me.

I've wanted to make a claw/axe BM for a while and share equipments between my barb and BM. Already have a lvl 80 BM from opening nien packs and exp orbs so why not? Another reason is I refuse to pay 4M per Aura. **** that! I would rather threw a few hundred million coins on my BM than pay 4m for each Aura. b:angry

A BM in my faction can do 3-3 with 1 cleric. Or so he says.

I think u can farm your aura's easily on barb b:chuckle

No one reads anymore. I have everything listed except Ornaments, cape, claw, and gloves.
Have 4 socket lunar gloves and uncannies and transfer stones to get them to final form 4 socket nirvana. So really, I'm only missing Orn, cape, claw. 100-140m.

Yeah I honestly just skimmed through the thread, probably missed the part where you=op.

Then the point becomes: if you have a 10x WB why would you even make a WR? Assuming you're hell, be a fist barb. Much better for pve.

How is suggesting not doing it flamming? It's more advice imo but ok take it the way you want I guess b:laugh If you've mentioned the fact you already have a decent lvled bm and most of the gear first, with the possibility to frost it to 100 in a week or so, might have helped. Seeing a lvl 15 veno post that they want to make a 5.0 bm to farm a gold mat for their main is kinda riddiculous.

Go for it, your bm will be able to do it as long as you have the diligence/time to farm. If you can try getting tt100 fists they end up doing more damage for faster farming (even without the hp reduction from the claws) although they cost more. Just saying after making couple 5.0s alts for farming we kinda regret it as no time to farm now, and the money spent on their gear coulda easily boosted the mains even more.

Because I don't plan on adding that much dex to use claws and the fact that it won't cost me a lot to gear a fist/axe BM since I can share my barb's stuff. Already have a lvl 80 BM alt from nien packs/exp orbs so it probably won't take long to get to lvl 100.

Sus: I didn't think I'd need to go that much in depth into who my main is and what he has in order to get a few simple answers from the forum.

    Agreed with this post.

Eventually the "farming" is going to become just as boring, just as fast as your attack speed. If you wanna farm stuff you already have a veno. It only requires a herc as an investment, and you can even have crappy gear as long as you have the channeling to keep healing and defenses not get creamed from AOE's -- presuming you have the skill not to get dmg/heal aggro and kill yourself. (I have 2 high APS chars too -- 5.0 and 4.0)

Zerhee has both on the same account... his 103 BM and a 10x barb. He had +12 second cast claws before anyone else even had 1st cast and I'm pretty sure he farmed most of it.

Unless you're just rolling the BM for the lulz, fist barb will serve you better for PvE.

Ok, making a 5.0 bm is really expensive, however in my opinion even a 3.3 (with spark) will be good enough for being taken in nirvana squads. What you need for 3.3 with demon spark is HH99 heavy wristguards and hh99 boots; CV claws, and CV Wing Trophy. All that costs only 145M more or less. This is a good invenmest in my opinion. I would get nirvana leggings too, but those I will farm them after I equip my bm with the other 4 items.

Fist barb would be better, and if you devote your time into making your gear better for your barb, it'll be cheaper and more efficient.

And honestly, a 5.0 barb will find a nirvana party just as fast, or faster than a 5.0 BM. You can give HP and patk buffs... 5.0 fist BMs are a dime a dozen. 5.0 barbs aren't.

This is what I was talking about in my second post, it's not only about the money: seeing you already have an endgame barb, I see no reason to level a WR since, being PVE what we're talking about here, by getting fists on the barb you would save the time you'd spend leveling the bm AND actually get something better.

As for not wanting to add dex, assuming you have above average gears (being a hardcore merchant and whatnot), there is pretty much nothing (thinking about conventional farming instances) you won't be able to tank as a dex/str barb, especially if you add in Bloodpaint.

And it's not speculation: I have a 103 WR and a 100 WB on my account (same build, 15 more STR on the WR), and I've solo farmed an ungodly amount of pre patch 3-3s and 3-1s on both, and I can assure you farming on my WB was not only faster and safer, but also funnier for some reason.

So yeah, unless you're a cata barb (inb4 lolTWchanges) or a hardcore ninja Perditioner, I wouldn't hesitate for a second if I were you.

    And

Yeah, I stopped CSing hardcore in march(?) and I farmed the claws, the refinement and over 30 crappy recasts, then everyone and their grandma comes out with Revenge+Interval as their first cast. THERE IS NO KARMA b:infuriated [/QQ]

the reason why people are flaming is because this thread is because it seems like a monument to an ego/trolling. if you wanted to make a new character simply because you could, you did not need to brag about being able to afford making it 5.0, or success in mercantilism. you simply should've just did asked what gear makes you attack at 5.0 and went on your way. instead you had to go off and show extreme inexperience and what looks like foolishness when it comes to aspects of the game due to how egotistical this thread seems. glad i could be of service.

People use alts to maintain anonymity for their own reasons. What those reasons are is irrelevant and no one's business.
you're either him or overstimating him

So wait, I'm his alt or embellishing facts because I happen to, well, know something?

And honestly? I'm only saying what I know. I know he has gear comparable to a heavy cash shopper and that his in-game assets surpass a billion coins in worth easily. As I'm not in the know on the going-ons of the server, that's all I know.

And for RoidAbuses own account on his wealth, you should look here. Highlights include him owning 2000+ Gold and spending 1 billion + on skills and gear.

I already know what gear makes me attack at 5.0. I asked if a 5.0 BM using what I had could tank Aura boss without too much charm use. I don't know how you get an ego thread from that. I was honestly looking for answers but some people are just that quick to flame. And I was inexperienced seeing that I've never played a BM before so it's only natural to sound so.

As for making an alt to post, I used another computer which is also shared by my little brother who also happens to play this game. He didn't log out of his own PWI account on the forum and I didn't think it'd matter who I post under to ask a few simple questions.
