    Thing is you dont really have a choice endgame. If you cant reach 5.0 as a DD for pve you wont get invited to any decent parties and specially not Nirvana. You cant reach 5.0 with ranged weapons, so as archer you dont have a choice, you have to go mele + claws/fists for pve or be excluded. Thats the reality of this game at the moment.

    Nobody's forcing you to get claws & int... You will still be able to get squads, but unless you got good friends/guild, it's going to be the "classical" squad with a puppy tanking, wizes & all that, as well as, 1 run taking an hour.

    But nobody wants that, all want to be in nice smooth runs with good DDs, but the fact is those are going to stick with one another, if you're not one of them, sucks to be you; unless of course you got a good buddy that will be taking you out of pitty only & making the runs slower just when they took you out of being nice, instead of another who could do better dmg. Though, don't you feel bad? When you come to such squads? I did. I wanted fast runs, I wanted to run with good ppl, I wanted to be able to contribute a lot in squad & be able to farm my stuff fast without abusing friend ties & feeling like the weak link.

    Yep, you go from auto-attacking at range to auto-attacking at close range and hitting 3 spark every 15 seconds

    Sometimes you can, yes.

    Other times things do not work like that (for reasons which should be obvious).

    i used Vilkass alot in nirvana runs >.> he doesnt mind...
    i have 99 gold bow +4 and 85 fists - gorenox, the nub ones, not gold.. i have 3aps, and those fists outdmg my bow.. i use both the bow and the fists depending on situation, i did restat some points - like 20, cos i was poor, otherwise cape/tome/helm can give enough str for a pure dex archer to use claws.. claws are better thats a fact, and the only place i use bow now is vs mobs, vs ranged fcc boss, and vs tyrant in nirvana cos i dont wanna agro and i dont like running.. and ofc in tws :) if mob/boss has lots of hp claws are always better, even 2 aps starts outdmg
